STAY AWAY FROM WEBUYCARS. I bought a 2019 Ford Ranger thats according to DEKRA basically faultless! After a week the body panels literraly start ti fell off! Indicators and lights not even connected!! no wiring!!! So how did DEKRA gave a all good Roadworthy report????????

Bad service by jhb south bought car is 2 month till today can license it and the dekra report never indicate engine problem but after I bought it in 2 days the engine light on am so bored I took it for check and payed am gatvol with their bad service now I have to fix the car myself bought cash for R157k

We bought a Mercedes Benz B200 petrol Auto this year,Dekra had engine mountings and transmission issues which did not impede functionality.We repaired the engine mounting only to discover major transmission issue which we were quoted between R50 and 60 K to repair by after market workshops.Car was bought for R101000.00.Tried to sell it back to them for R70K,They refused it unless we repair the transmission at Mercedes benz and provide them with invoices and warrantees.We do not believe there is fairness here at all.Be warry and very very carefull if buying a car from them as it it comes as a dumping ground for troubklesome cars that cannot be economically be repaired

Made an offer on my car, when they realize they sold it to me before, they reduced the offer with almost R30k, stating they cannot pay more for it than they paid for it the first time

We buy cars are just a lot of rogues. The dekra report is scam. They cancel all the faults they can,only to come up within a few kilo,s. Their customer services are a waste of time. They always give yoy the same answer. The vehicle was bought As IS. How do they get away with this. Never buy a vehicle from them. Also gearbox problems and engine problems. 35000.00 later.

DON'T EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM WE BUY CARS.

They will unashamedly and purposefully run you around in circles until the 6 month warranty period expires if you have any issues with your car.

They are trying to somehow circumvent they consumer laws by pretending to help you with faults on the car, never actually doing anything, and then just ignore you when the 6month period expires.

They are dishonest, they are extremely quiet about any responsibilities they have towards you and if you experience any issues with a car, it is extremely difficult to figure out how to get help.

Once you figure it out, you will be blatantly ignored by any one you contact.

They won't answer your calls. They won't answer your emails.

THEY WILL NOT HELP YOU.

I have been struggling for more than 4 months to get the aircon compressor repaired on my car. It seized two weeks after getting it.

Bought a car at We buy cars Richmond on the 10th of May 2023,the dekra report only mentioned minor problems that had nothing to do with the engine and also the car was due for service . I took the car for service only to realise that the waterpump was broken and also the gearbox was defective and audi is charging over 40k for repairs.Contacted their customer care and they having ghosting me for over a week now.But believe you me am gonna sue them and also already engaged with motor industry ombudsman because noone deserves to be swindled hard earned money like that .We buy cars are the worst car dealers i have dealt with.🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

I was with we buy car last week on line they give me offer of 18800 and ask me to bring the car so spend more than 1 hr and Chris appraisal for my 15509 and 16500 and I sold my car for 18600 in1/2 with CarMax we buy car sucks and does not know how to appraise a car and any body go there waisting there time and there location on 96th is in very bad remote area who ever want to sell there car think 10 times before going to this crazy place.

Very bad, cash sale on Sunday 18 June. Drove car home and that was the last drive. Had to tow car to mechanic. Not the same report as their Dekra report!!!!! Cant be fixed. Dont support!!! Now I need to fight to get my money!!!! Who has money to just give away. No no no!!!!

Dekra report is also a scam!!!!! Brakes said 'Very Good' oh no what a lie, turns out brakes were Dismall. Big big Lie!!! they refused to fix them

Be very careful of WeBuyCars.
The Dekra report was completely incorrect and there was a latent defect which was covered over.
Was raised with them shortly after the purchase, told them they could pay for the repair or give me my money back.
They avoid engaging you and simply disappear, its left to the consumer to now take legal action.
My advice is do not do business with this company it will cost you.

Shocking service!
Bought a jeep - went in 3 times to repair an oil leak. Without car for 3 months. Eventually replaced with new car. Going through the same story again. Filled in complaint a week ago. Still NO FEEDBACK! Sitting without a car once again!

I trusted the photos and Dekra report before bidding on an online auction for a vehicle. When I arrived to collect the vehicle did not match the online pics or the pic on the Dekra report. When I advised the sales person that I would like to cancel the deal for obvious reasons I was advised the webuycars will keep the R5000 from the price paid for the vehicle.

I would have accepted this is the error was on my side. But if webuycars put incorrect pictures on their website, surely they should keep their staff responsible for this. Not a customer that actually tried to support them. This is not ethical business practice.

I purchased a vehicle from We Buy Cars beginning of March 2023. I was looking for different bakkies and read through the dekra reports, whenever I would see anything about an oil leak I did not even look at that vehicle any longer (that came after I purchased another bakkie from We Buy Cars in 2022 with an oil leak and it cost me R10,000+ to get everything sorted for it to be roadworthy). And I did not file a complaint then because I was fully aware that it had a leak and I knew I was going to have to fix it.

So when I saw this vehicle it did not mention anything of an oil leak or any other major defects (brakes did not show any red lights, engine was in good condition, tyres was good, etc). The summary of the dekra report was only that the main window opening mechanism was faulty.

Now, I fully understand that it is a second hand vehicle and therefore I knew before I purchased the bakkie that I was going to spend a few thousand rands on it to get it serviced and roadworthy. Please take note of this sentence above.

When you purchase a vehicle from We Buy Cars you have to sign multiple boxes and some of them include that I take responsibility for future services, that I have seen the Dekra report and that all things are taken in good faith. I signed it all, because I took it in good faith.

I took the vehicle to roadworthy test and as expected there were some things that had to be fixed in order to get the roadworthy. One of these items being the back brakes: there was zero brakes at the back and it did not show on Dekra brake test report. I thought it was alright and just took it to service center.

When they lifted the bakkie to do the work they told me that there is an oil leak on the gearbox. I said that it is funny because there was no oil leak on the Dekra report. So I went to see for myself, and even I (with very limited knowledge when it comes to engines and all that) could see that there was an oil leak. It had to be fixed and it cost me around R2,000.
And then I got a call again to say that the brakes have been lifted and sanded, but still there is no brakes at back. multiple parts were removed and sent in for repairs concerning the brakes and still it did not work (costing me more than R5,000).

At this point We Buy Cars came to pick up my vehicle (about a month later after it could not be fixed and mulitiple emails back and forth) and I have had to pay insurance for a month already for a car that I could not use.

We Buy Cars let me know that they found the problem and I could pick up the bakkie as it passed the brake test. After I went to collect the bakkie I tool it straight to Dekra for the roadworthy test and guess what? It still did not pass the brake test!!
Again I had to take it to the auto service center for them to do adjustments on the brakes and another R1,000 later.

Finally I got my roadworthy certificate. These repairs cost me upwards of R8,000 and We Buy Cars are just throwing up their arms and not willing to help me cover the costs of these repairs.

Even though I signed the box that says I take it in good faith, I do not know how We Buy Cars can give these reports “in good faith” when major things like these are clearly visible but not mentioned on reports.

I had a 100% great experience sales person who helped me was Mr Tacquin Gallant he really went out of his way to help us. Great sales person

I bought a 2018 Hyundai Grand i10 through the We Buy Cars Joburg South Branch and had it transported to the Port Elizabeth Branch via ToAnywhereCarriers (TAC).

I paid for the car on the 05th of April 2023. I was called on the 20th of April 2023 and told that it had arrived.

I stay in King Williams Town and travelled to Port Elizabeth on the 21st of April 2023.

I went to collect the car on the 22nd of April 2023 - on my arrival I requested the salesperson Devon. He came and told me that he would fetch the car.

We waited for about 15 minutes and he came back again and said that we must wait outside he is bringing the vehicle.

After about 30 mins, the Sales Consultant at the Johannesburg Branch called and informed me that there was a problem with the battery and that Devon was trying to jumpstart it.

After about another 10 mins - he called me and told me that it was not the battery and that the car was not starting but making funny noises when Devon was starting it.

He later called me to inform that a mechanic was coming to look at the car.

We went to have breakfast for any hour and when we came back to the We buy Cars Depot in Kabega- Benny from the We buy Cars Branch in Johannesburg South called to say that the mechanic would look at the car over the course of a week and I should fetch the car the next Saturday. I requested to see Devon, the sales consultant at the PE Branch and he came e to me after a second requesting and waiting for 20 minutes.

He told me a new story that the key of the car lost tis programming to the car.

I have lost faith in the car and We Buy Cars and at this point will never buy from them again and will never recommend people to buy from them.

And this was my first car - it was supposed to be a happy event.

At this point, I no longer want that car and am demanding a full refund or to choose another within the Port Elizabeth Branch - even if that means I top up.

Purchased a vehicle a month or two ago with a clean Dekra report only to have an engine part break a month later which is now going to cost more money.
