In May 2022 I bought a Volvo XC90 from WeBuyCars Midstream and paid a deposit of R100 000.
On 27 October 2022 the vehicle broke down & we had to tow it to Volvo for repairs. Volvo found that the exhaust had been modified, the catalytic converter was removed, welded back & the sensor was moved to a different location in the exhaust. This caused cylinder 3 on the engine to misfire. The quotation for a new exhaust system amounted to R62000 and would potentially increase to an estimated R160000 for the repairs on the engine.
The warranty wouldn’t pay for the repairs since the vehicle was tempered with prior to purchase.
I logged a complaint online on 31 October 2022. I physically went to WeBuyCars to report it on 01 November 2022, spoke to Ruan Geere.

I was charged a usage fee of R48 678.14 for the kilometers I had travelled with the vehicle
I requested they deduct the usage fee from my installments paid and not from my deposit but that was ignored.

On 6 December 2022 I received a refund of R5 000 from We Buy Cars
On 7 December 2022 I received a refund of R51 321.86 from We Buy Cars which is (my deposit) R100000 – (usage fee) R48 678.14

We Buy Cars paid MFC the settlement amount only.
We Buy Cars still has not refunded my instalments to me which amounts to R47 552,83
Ruan Geere promised I would receive my refund on 23 December 2022 and I still have not received it to date.
Ruan Geere left the company and Damien Cornelius took over. I still haven’t received my refund even after speaking to Whitney Daniels who is Damien’s Team Leader.
On 23 March 2023 I emailed Natasha Klopper my F&I at WeBuyCars Midstream to request that she obtain a remittance settlement and approval thereof, via her DRM/BDO. In rode for my instalments to be refunded.
She has not replied to the email and does not take my calls.

I’m being sent from pillar to post and no one is giving me answers or refunding my money.

NEVER BUY A VEHICLE FOM WE BUY CARS – THEY ARE SCAMMERS AND BUNCH OF THEIVES.

We buy cars is the worst, l bought a car on the 5th of December 2022 with no number plates the temporal permit was just a few days to expire now we are in April still no number plates no temporal permit, im paying for a car lm not using

Walked around the mor cycle dept upstairs for hours at the dome, the big tall salesman kept walking past us and never even asked if we wanted help, the same kind of service i got from a salesman called Matthew a few weeks prior who just ignores me. Goodbye we buy cars i will never use you again

Definitely I will be buying my car soon, I made my quote at WeBuyCars at Germiston and I was assist by a very friendly and professional gentleman Mr Mlungisi Qwabe. The service was beyond my expectations. I can't wait to shop there soon

The salesman,Monde at Richmond branch overcharged me with R900,00. A claim was submitted on 01 March 2023 to pay it back. To date 14 March 2023 I have not received my money.
We buy cars management, customer care, Monde comes up with loads of excuses, but they cannot tell me when my money will be paid in. Its is absolutely the worst car buying experience in my life. Do not do business with these people.
I will take this to the ombudsman for investigation.

I am so disappointed I bought a BMW from wbc durban in December used it for a month and started having problems I paid cash for this car ,when I bought the car the dekra report said one minor fault but when I took it for diagnostic it came back with major issues wbc sent me to there rmi garage same fault now they refuse to pay . My hard earn money went down the drain very bad service. Dekra report is all a lie ,I should have done a diagnostic before I took the car . Now they don't want to help me. Poor customer service

Beware people buying from them the dekra reports are totally fake and they will sell you a piece of dangerous junk and tell you sorry as is - note have any car you buy checked out before buying. They should be investigated

I've purchased a car from them in November 2022 paid cash in full. I have made multiple attempts via email and calls, but they refuse to give me my Natis documents. If no assistance is provided, I will be taking legal action.

I bought a car in October by December it started giving me problems,l went back to them but I dint not get any good service which my email was only attended in January which still I didn't get any help some January something broke l took too WBC in Bolito which l received Ridiculous quoting l need car fixed. Asap

Wow what a terrible company to deal with. Been trying to get hold of them for days on end and seems the branches don't care and you cannot contact them at all. 🤬🤬🤬

I purchased the car cash on 28/12/2022
When my dad went to pick the car up on 29/12/2022 the car was dirty and not cleaned. The car was filled with dust and dog
hair- However I was charged -/+R3000.00 for delivery which confirmed that cleaning will be done. When I spoke to Amarah
Patel she confirmed that I would receive a refund of the amount paid for delivery- I have not received a response yet from
her and this was a recorded conversation by WBC (18 Jan)
I received a temporary permit that expired on the 18/01/2023 with no sign of my proof or ownership of vehicle for me to
renew the license that expired in Nov 2022, A new permit was given.
There after the permit is expiring again on 07/02/2023 and now the consultants do not want to answer my message for a
new permit. I have been BEGGING for my proof of ownership since, all I received was a copy over email on 1/02/2023
where I advised the consultant I need the original copy as this is in another province and the department has requested the
Original document to issue new disks and numberplates. However I have not heard since.
All of my queries on my lisencing document is gone to deaf ears and I do not have my document in my hand. I have paid
cash for this and Now I do not have proof of ownership nor a lisenced car, all I get is empty promises.
Ponsho stated my Proof of ownership will be here in Friday 03/02/2023 and I have not received that, she has been ignoring
my messages since Thursday.
I requested my service and maintainance policy number from Ponsho whom sold me the cover. She then told me I should
call Innovation to get the details myself- I googled the number and Innovation said my policy was not active.... this is on 30
Jan 2022 after I purchased and Paid for the car in full on 28/12/2022 and confirmed that the service and maintenance and
warranty be activated.
I have complained on numerous occassions and requested documents that I have PAID for and have RIGHTFUL
ownership and I have not received anything as of yet!

I bought 3 cars here. First 2 were ok. Last one a very bad experience
Dekra report said 'clean report' until I took it to roadworthy and several expensive faults showed up
Then I was given a lot of BS from the salesman
Also NATIS documents were not provided and will have to go back to the branch at my expense to get them. Why are they not on hand?
Will not be buying any more cars there....

Was great to deal with Dalton Fourie he was very helpful since day one until when I got my car.

Sachin from the Springfield Park Durban branch, is the most friendliest consultant with excellent customer service and support.
