We have been using WPA for a few years now and we have been happy with the service. The team are helpful and process claims quickly. I have always been able to get through and speak to someone. This is so important for customers. I especially appreciate the personal service we get from Gareth who is always available to provide help and advice, both on renewal terms and dealing with any claims. He explains everything well and can help you find the right plan for you.

Sue talked us through how WPA worked and we liked how modular it was i.e. you could add or subtract from the cover according to your budget and your aims with private health cover. She was really helpful in explaining the meaning of some of the paragraphs and happy to take several calls in the process. WPA also have good reviews but we really appreciate the personal touch and care where so often today, you don't get that with service providers.

Without doubt the best private health insurance company out there. My GP told me that my op would not be covered so I paid for it up front. It was postponed @ the last minute due to a meds mix up. Consultant told me to speak with WPA who DID cover the full cost. Refund issued and WPA picked up the complete bill. Today I enquired about alternative treatments for my daughter which wasn’t actually covered, but Claire explained fully and I left still happy. Top staff with great interpersonal skills

I was seeking to move from another private health insurer. Gareth was very open and honest in comparing cover and premium, also very helpful in talking through what cover I should be considering. I am now paying less for better cover.
I've since also found the person I've spoken to on the WPA claims line extremely helpful. Its been a very positive move.

I have been dealing with WPA for some time now their service is excellent always prompt with payments.
So easy to do transactions on line after having treatment or purchasing glasses and I recommend this company to all.

I've had the opportunity to be with several health insurers in the top six providers and I can safely say that WPA live up to their promises above all others. No other health insurer has matched the attention to ensuring that as a patient, you can relax with your treatment knowing you're covered, within the terms of course but I've had experience of rocky dealings with competitors.

I was disappointed that my claim for an emergency tooth extraction was not allowed because the dentist invoice/receipt didn’t say “emergency” on it. The dentist couldn't change the receipt after the event.
The standard dental cover doesn’t cover the amount that the extraction cost me.

Daughter started suffering with crippling abdomal pain earlier on this year we have had private insurance since 2021 (the last 2 years with wpa) nhs diagnosed suspected endometriosis from an ultrasound. WPA refused any treatment for this due to her having heavy periods on and off from being 16 and cramps (I had exactly the same at that age but never had endometriosis) we queried this and the staff members words were…well if you google it heavy periods is a symptom of endometriosis very unprofessional. So basically if Google says it’s a symptom this company will use it to get out of paying. I totally understand there are a lot that will try to fiddle claims but this is not one of them we have got her full medical records from the gp and nothing is on there for heavy periods but it’s because she told the private consultant she has had heavy periods from 16 and the same to a gp earlier in the year, so you also need to be very careful what you say to doctors as it will be used against you. Very disappointing and upsetting when you think you have cover in place for when needed. Same usual response from WPA but no contact has been made from them at all!!!!

Excellent personalised service from our local Kent representative Gareth Walters. Very attentive, knowledgable, friendly and courteous. Also great service from thh admin team behind him. Website and app work well and any claims always dealt with very efficiently. WPA deserve their 5* rating which is also recognised by Which consumer magazine.

I had just received my renewal and the increase was too much. After speaking with Katie in the renewal team. She was fantastic and knowledgeable, plus very helpful too in helping with the renewal and keeping me as customer.

WPA provides one of the most comprehensive private health covers in the UK. Their customer service are excellent and their policies are clear. I highly recommend WPA for
their efficiency and great value for money.

Since we met with Gareth and moved to WPA the service , knowledge and advice he has been able to give us has been exemplary together with the renewals year on year when changes and adjustments were made as the offer improved and progressed. WPA have looked after me now on a journey with cancer and I could not have asked for better support

I have been a customer of WPA for over ten years and have always found all their staff very friendly and helpful, particularly Gareth Walters, who was my initial contact with the company. All claims are dealt with efficiently and usually paid within days of the claim being made. I have nothing but praise for the way I have always been treated and it is a shame that other companies do operate in this way.
