Es häuft nichts , Schande über Flughafen und die Abfertigung.
Keine Organisation und 50% Schalter besetzt , wohl alles Beamte in Ferien

Longer wait in the passport queue than the flight . Shambolic organisation. Same leaving the country last time.

Security check before boarding flight to London was highly invasive and took a long time. I have issues with walking and was being transported in a wheel chair. I had a hip replacement in 2019 so always trigger the metal detector and expect to be checked but on this occasion I was subjected to a thorough pat down and forced to stand for approx. 10 mins at first without my walking stick. I had just arrived after a 12 hour flight and had not left any of the transit areas.

The agent was rude and the pat down in my opinion was too invasive. I have travelled many times through Zurich pre-covid never had this problem before. I was not offered the option of having the check done in a private area and I object to anyone pushing fingers down the back of my shorts.

Oddly my hand baggage was cleared quickly but despite my not having anything other than a handkerchief in my shorts pocket and explaining re the hip replacement this check was very uncomfortable.

When passing security in the Zurich airport, the petty, peevish, rigid, stupid and unpleasant security personnel there won't let you take on items which are totally OK and easily pass all the security checks everywhere else in the world (including chocolates and food items).
The airport itself is old and ugly, interminable lines everywhere for passport control and security, the airport is ridiculously expensive, and you waste lots of time waiting in line and having to walk extremely long distances between gates.
No thanks! from now on I'm going elsewhere

Es kann nicht sein, dass ein ohnmächtig zusammengebrochener Mensch in seinem Erbrochenem liegend über eine halbe Stunde auf die Sanitäter warten musste. Trotz mehrfacher Anfrage eines Flughafenmitarbeiters war keine Hilfe möglich.
Nach über einer halben Stunde kam ein Polizist und Sanitäter, die nach Untersuchung und mobilem EKG den Patienten mit der Bemerkung entliessen:"wir können Ihnen den Flug nicht verbieten, würden ihnen das aber nicht raten" und schickten ihn trotzdem zum weitentlegenen Gate E. Der Pilot entschied sich nach vorliegenden Informationen, ihn nicht mitzunehmen. Diese zusätzliche Wegstrecke und Anstrengung hätte man durch eine klare Ansage sicher vermeiden können.

This airport is very disappointing. I have arrived from New York and I had a connection flight to Budapest.I have booked my both flight with Swiss.I have missed my connection because of the transportation of the airport.In my opinion, on an overseas flight where many people are likely need to transfer, it is unacceptable to have to use the cheap terminal bus to reach a connection. We are in 2024 and they only provide 4 hours of free internet at an international airport .Never again.

Passport control lines are ridiculous…. Among worst in Europe…. Especially landing between 11 and 1 pm. 5 trips in last 6 months… 1 hour clearance is blazing fast 😖 Maybe everyone takes lunch. Customs control may be least Swiss bureaucracy in the country…. Would avoid at all costs.

To the lady at E gates Passport control (departures) who joined other 2 colleagues and started a new queue (15 April 2024 around 16:30-16:50)- want to say Shame On You! for not allowing us with our disabled child who was out of control and couldn't stay in queues to go in front of the queue - I told you several times that my child has a mental disability and can't stay in the queue and you told me that you can't do anything and that I had to go and ask the queue. I just wish you never had the issue I am going through! What a miserable piece of a human being!!!

Love Zurich airport compared to Geneva. So much more efficient and user friendly.

However, one quibble was passport control wasted most of a page of my passport when stamping my exit stamp.

If one consistently stamps horizontally one can fit 4 round trips per passport page (8 flights). The way it was stamped I will be lucky to fit 2 round trips (four flights). Serious mistake when every trip EU/CH requires two stamps... 7apr24 17:45.

Für das Durchfahren (nur Durchfahren) bei der „Ankunft“ (leider Parkhauseinfahrt verpasst) 4 CHF zu nehmen ist eine Frechheit.

Viele Personen und viele Mannschaften und partout nur 2 Schaltet geöffnet!

The staff asked so many questions of the people of colour at this airport, including us. They asked us about where we were staying, why and how, and it was utterly embarrassing. These questions should be on an entry card. We had to show our boarding passes several times and we are a mature group of women so we didn’t understand why. The man at the counter said he was asking us questions because we hadn’t checked in, but I pointed out that we had and that’s why we had our boarding passes. The people behind us noticed as well, they were very shocked, it was ridiculous. Because of the delay the line to exit was 2 hours long and many people were delayed. Very difficult and prejudice staff who need to remember that tourists bring in business and help the country’s economy.

Die Qualität hat massiv abgenommen
Wir fliegen viel und müssen nun regelmässig sehr lange auf das Gepäck warten.
Aus Operationsgründen heisst es dann
Da wird wohl einfach auf dem Buckel der Kunden gespart. Ist einfach bei Monopol.
Wir hatten 4 Flüge in Kolumbien und alles ging immer flott.
Es ist also auch im Vergleich Ausland nicht genügend.

Mir fällt sehr schwer eine positive Bewertung zu geben . Großteil von Personal weiß über nichts Bescheid. Ich empfehle weiterhin niemanden von Zürich weiter zu fliegen. Gate wurde kurzfristig geändert, da wo ich letzt endlich an Kamm an richtigen Gate hieß es Flug ist weg 😁

Sehr launisches Personal bei der Sicherheitskontrolle

We flew with Swiss Air from India to Brussels with a transfer in Zurich. The first flight from Mumbai was delayed, so after spending over 10 hours on the plane, we hoped for a smooth transfer.

And here in the corridor, just like that, three policemen were waiting, checking tickets and passports of several hundred tired people. Many people counted on an efficient transfer (1.20 hours for us), so the unexpected inspection, with all its slowness and rudeness, started to cause frustration and nervousness. But that was only a beginning.

After the policemen, the security was checked as it is always done BEFORE the flight. I have never been checked AFTER a flight before. Only two lines for checking were available for several hundred people. Passengers were checked very thoroughly and turned back, regardless of their discomfort after a long flight and the lack of an available toilet.

The fact that many passengers were just passing through at this airport did not play any role for the staff and, as I know, many people missed their transfers. When I asked if the flight to Brussels would be delayed because we were being held too long, I heard a short 'no'.

After reaching the plane in sprint style, we were graciously allowed to board, but there were passengers (from another flight) who were 90 seconds late and this is where Swiss precision worked: they were not allowed to board. It is not the end. Our plane didn't leave as planed but was considerably delayed because they were looking for some suitcases. Maybe ours because they didn't reach Brussels. The last time I had such a circus was in the 1990s, when I was flying through Turkey to the Balkans and my luggage constantly landed in Moscow.

I haven't seen such nonsense in a long time. In addition, the rudeness and haughtiness of the Swiss. Therefore, I definitely do not recommend Zurich airport or Swiss Air when it comes to large transports. They better stay a local airport because they have neither the skills nor the infrastructure to handle flights with large numbers of passengers.

Leider kann der Flughafen trotz positiver Erfahrungen mit dem Personal am Swiss-Check-in nur mit einem Stern bewertet werden.
Die schon seit vielen Jahren auf eigentlich allen grösseren Flughäfen installierten Laufbänder für die Überbrückung längerer Fusswege sucht man in Zürich vergebens. Offensichtlich wurde mehr Wert darauf gelegt, möglichst viele Flächen für Geschäfte auszuweisen, um den Fluggästen möglichst noch einen Rappen mehr aus der Tasche zu locken, anstatt über eine komfortablere Infrastruktur nach zudenken.
Wer nicht (mehr) so gut zu Fuss ist, wie viele Ältere, sollte lieber einen alternativen FH suchen.
Ein positiver Umstand sei der Fairness halber erwähnt, wer nicht mit dem Auto anreist und im Parkhaus stehen muss (für die üblich horrenden Gebühren), sondern mit dem Zug, hat nur eine Rolltreppe bis zum Check-in zu bewältigen.

Prepare for long delays at security and passport control.

Allow at least an hour to clear, staff are rude managing the queues. Otherwise airport is great, but for a travel experience I’ll avoid Zürich next time.

Otherwise airport facilities 10/10.

Wir waren eine Gruppe mit mehreren kognitiv eingeschränkten Personen. Das Personal am Flughafen war sehr ruhig und ging äusserst professionell mit unseren Bewohnern um. Beantwortete Fragen. Es war sehr schön, so durch die Sicherheitskontrolle zu gehen. Danke

Elend lange Wartezeit bei der Einreise am Flughafen-Zoll Zürich Kloten. Die wissen ganz genau, wann die Flieger ankommen und müssten dementsprechend Personal aufbieten. Der mit "Wir haben zu wenig Beamte wegen Corona" glaubt euch doch keiner mehr. Man will im Rot/Grünen Zürich den Passagieren das Fliegen vergraulen. An Arroganz nicht zu überbieten. Die Verantworlichen müssen wissen, dass nicht nur junge, gesunde Menschen da in der Warteschlange stehen. Sondern auch Kinder und alte, gebrechliche Menschen. Ist euch doch egal oder?
