Applying for VA benefits can be frustrating, and confusing. There are many steps involved, documents to gather, and forms to fill out. American Veterans Aid helped guide me through the process which prior to their involvement seemed impossible. The staff at AVA are experienced, and knowledgeable. They genuinely care, and were able to successfully process my mother’s Aid and attendance benefit, as well as my service connected disability claim. Thank you AVA, I couldn’t have done it without you.

I highly recommend this agency! I did not know much about this benefit and stumbled across this agency to help with the Aid and Attendance benefit. My mother is 96 and a surviving spouse of a WWII vet. I never heard of this benefit or this agency, and they guided me through the application which would have taken forever on my own. The App. for this beneifit is extensive and from what I have read, takes soooo long to navigate. I had loads of questions and they helped.. Always timely and so professional yet very friendly and caring.
I am so glad I contacted them . My mom was approved in 6 weeks.(amazing for the usual VA timeline!) Took me a few weeks to get paperwork together, and AVA helped me each step of the way. My absolute KUDOS to Monica G, who did the intake and spent so much time with me to make sure we were eligible. They will not accept you as a "client" unless they know you will be approved. I could never have navigated the process on my own by dealing with the VA directly.
The people at AVA were so kind, caring and professional. They even sent me an expedited form since my mom is 96.
I sincerely want to shout out to Monica Grannis. she was so wonderful and easy to talk to. After receiving the benefit, my mom's situation changed and I can still rely on Monica to ask questions, and such a fast reply! Also quick reponse from Joyce!
These people are truly wonderful, and want to help us get this AId that is available.
If I were you, I would not hesitate to contact them. They are so helpful and do such a good screening, they can tell if you will be accepted or not. I could not have done this without them!
Sometimes we have bad experiences, but I will neer forget how easy they were to work with, and the care of Monica G.!

American Veterans Aid is a fine organization. Every person at every level and step of way was professional, thoughtful and helpful in explaining exactly how everything needed to be done and walked me through it. Any questions I had were answered to my satisfaction and with patience I might add. My case ran into a glitch because when requesting my late husband's records from
World War Il in the Navy, it was discovered that there had been a fire many years ago and lots of records were severely damaged. The VA required other sources of identification to prove my husband's service. The AVA team stuck with me for over a year until the case was approved and when I was about ready to give up, they kept encouraging me to be patient. It was worth it
because I was paid retroactively for all the months since the day I applied. So I highly recommend AVA and wish more veterans' widows knew about this. I never could have gotten through this on my own. I am so grateful for the compassion and support of the AVA team, especially to Kathleen at the beginning and long months of resolving my issues with the Navy records and to Joyce Lucca, who was amazing seeing me through the last months. This means so much to me to help pay for my care and I know my late husband is proudly looking down from heaven, knowing his service made a difference, not only to our country, of which he was a true patriot, but to benefit me in my old age. I owe AVA a debt of gratitude. May God richly bless their organization and prosper them.

Every step of the way there was great communication. They were easy to reach when I had questions. The process was simple and they did a great job keeping me informed. Better yet, my mom received more benefits than we were even expecting her to receive! I highly recommend American Veterans Aid. It's worth every penny to have their help cutting through the red tape and making this process as easy as possible.

Everyone I spoke with was extremely helpful, explained the process and answered all of my questions. Getting VA benefits is a grueling process and I never would have been able to navigate the system on my own. Benefits took about 6 months to receive but finally came through. Everyone treated us with dignity and respect as we determined our mother who was 97 qualified for Veterans Aid since her husband, who had passed several years ago, served in the Korean War.
