I bought a Trakker Levelite Camo Long…

I bought a Trakker Levelite Camo Long back Chair £175 and used the chair twice and a bolt came lose, contacted Angling direct customer service and spoke to Sheila and she arranged for the chair to be collected on October 22nd. After six weeks I have no chair and Angling Direct have my £175. I contacted Sheila again and received this.

Now I have no chair and a £175 nut and bolt which is not even the right one. This has been a terrible customer service experience .
15/1/26 after over 10wks of waiting I have a chair, Sheila (customer care) was no help at all and did not even respond to my last emails so I contacted Angling direct through their face book page that worked eventually.

Customer service very slow to respond

Customer service very slow to respond. Ordered a product but their system crashed and caused an error message. By the time customer service responded the product has gone out of stock. No apology for the delay in responding and I now have to wait additional days for a refund.

Paid extra for delivery

Paid extra for delivery, never happenend. Tried to call to see where the order is as the tracking number doesn't work and got hung up on twice. Shocking service and will never use again. Avoid at all costs

Let you order and pay for items that say in stock but obviously are not

Ordered and paid for items that state in stock. Get confirmation on despatch that one of the items is not but will be dealt with immediately. Get another email one day later saying the missing item is picked and packed waiting for despatch. Another week later still nothing. I even pay the AD subscription. Get on the phone to CS , 40min wait twice, to be cut off when no 1 in the queue, how convenient!! Email in, guess what, no reply. Absolute disgraceful service. All I want is the item that I paid for or a refund. Funny how they they don't take as long in taking your money.

I have AD plus been waiting a week for my item still not even with a courier.
Took 40 minutes to get hold of someone who just fobbed me off with ‘hopefully’ it will be collected today.
Second order in a row I’ve had nothing but problems with, last time they sold me rods they didn’t have in stock and left me to try and contact them.
AD plus is a waste of money and I’ll be going elsewhere in future.

I have just spent over 1 hour trying to phone them
My 1st attempt to phone them was cut of after 25 mins
On my 2nd attempt to phone them i got to number 1 in the queue and was cut off again
My 3rd attempt to phone them was not answered after 15 mins so i ended the call
When ever i got through to them various operators have said they would get back to me but no one has
I have emailed them but got no reply
Has for dx transport , their tracking information is
a load of BULL****
I have know given up on them to sort out my return parcel

Deplorable service

Deplorable service will never buy anything from them again get ad plus for quick delivery get half the order delivered and still waiting for the rest 1 week later wait 45 minutes in a queue to have someone say they will be dispatched and 2 days later still not sent

Not delivered. Terrible customer service.

Order placed on 6th of November. Marked as delivered on the 12th. Never received. Been on the phone to customer service 4 times with a 30 minute wait and even sent them an email. Terrible customer service. Terrible delivery method
Terrible experience with Angling direct (again). Pathetic to think they are one of the largest fishing wholesalers.

Not going to use anymore

Made my purchase online all went fine then a couple of days later royal mail contact me for delivery it never arrived it came a few days later.
The problem is I contacted angling direct but the only way to get in touch is a contact form and the customer service is terrible I got a reply two days after the parcel actually arrived so in total it took five days for a reply.
I will not buy from them online any more you can't talk to anyone which was my experience.

Missing Feeder Chair

I ordered some items from AD, some came but one, the main large item was unavailable. It said and still says available on the website. I telephoned on and off all day on Friday 28th but no answer. I then rang on Saturday 29th and Jason answered. Yes, the item, a feeder chair was unavailable. He very quickly confirmed that and when I asked for a refund he obligingly agreed (today). I have to wait for the money to land in my bank and I do have an email confirming that it is on the way.
I’d like to congratulate Jason for his professional and efficient service. My advice is keep the website as alive as possible as it confuses customers. I’ve wasted so much time and now have to travel to AD shop to collect the item. The store is in Stoke and Dan, who works in store, was extremely helpful and has saved me one to collect today.
I hope all works out I have my faith in AD restored. If so it is down to Jason on the phone in the main office and Dan on the phone in Stoke.

Order arrived faulty. Not interested in Returns. Dont Use.

Ordered a shimano barbel rod and when arrived the top eyelet was damaged so i emailed them and gave my order number. I received an email back saying give order number and what the problem is and some pictures. Did this and now left without an answer and just (an advisor will be in touch) Tried ringing and no reply. I will never use these again. FOLKS TRUST ME DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Missing Item/Broken Items

Order arrived, missing one item completely, another item the 2 tray Leeda tackle box arrived broken.
Notified customer support got automated response and still waiting on the advisor to get in touch.
So as of now I couldn't even give them anything above one star.
Just opened the discovery seat box I ordered for my son for Christmas, the hinges are broke. Absolute joke.

Customer service

My new pole turned up yesterday the new Preston superium power carp and sections 3/4/5 are ment to have had pole end caps in only section 3 had it in just sections 4/5 had a bit of glue in the end were they were ment to be the main part of the pole normally comes in a plastic sleeve inside the the tube like the unboxing videos show you the holdall it came had a brown sticky mark on the front of it it seems to me that it never got checked before it got shipped or it's a return which they sent out to me really not good enough for a pole nearly a thousand pound will go back to using tackle tavern next time I need anything tried getting in touch with customer services but no reply

Ordered some pole sections and unfortuantaley the courier broke them in transit.

Reported on the Friday at 14:00 and new sections delivered at 12:00 on the Monday.

Slecht verpakt!!!!!!

Bestel regelmatig maar laatste bestelling was een puinhoop.
Ik had oa Nash Himalaya zout besteld. Verpakking was zodanig slecht dat de pot kapot was gescheurd en het zout door de gehele doos lag en dus ook na opening op de vloer. Erg fijn .Inmiddels 5 dagen later nog geen reactie. Drukke tijden voor angling direct. Qua klanttevredenheid kun je nog wel iets leren.

Need to improve their tracking of parcels!

Ordered a Daiwa reel, shimano braid and beads. Reel arrived no problem but no braid or beads.

Checked my order number on their website and it says complete.

So I contact and ask the simple question where my beads and braid are as I need them for a planned trip. They cannot tell me whether they have dispatched them or give me a tracking number. I just need to wait and hope they turn up! Still nothing so now have had to buy them again from another usual supplier that can provide a delivery date before my trip.

Nathalie got in contact from customer services and gave me tracking details. Item now received.

It seems that this is a recurring issue for Angling Direct reading these reviews.

Is it really that hard to have a stock management system that works and some customer service? It was a bit slow and needs to be improved.

Separated Delivery

I had to call up to pursue items that were being dispatched separately due to being stocked elsewhere. Jason was incredibly helpful providing me will all the information and reassurance possible. He even went above and beyond by chasing after my items to ensure they would be with me ready for a day trip on Sunday. Phenomenal customer service from a lovely bloke. Thank you very much.
