Il noleggio è andato bene tutto sommato, non abbiamo avuto spese impreviste come è capitato a molti. Non ci hanno consegnato nulla alla restituzione dell’auto (documento, ricevuta) ma per un noleggio di 4 giorni mi hanno bloccato la carta per 1 mese. Dopo ripetuti solleciti via mail mi è stato risposto che facevano 40/80 addebiti al giorno e che non era mai capitato. Leggendo le tante recensioni su trustpilot e su Booking è evidentemente una balla. La prassi è questa e dovete tenerne conto prima di noleggiare in questa struttura.

We rented a car at the Caldera office in Kos. Getting the car was a bit tricky as they do require a credit card, and if we could not provide one, they would require us to purchase new insurance (on top of the insurance that we already bought with a third party).
The big issue happen when we had to return the car. After returning the keys, I went with the agent inspecting the car. I 100% knew that I returned the car in the exact same condition that I received it, but the agent stated that a new damaged was done on the car (which is absolutely wrong - I had full insurance and I would have honestly accept it if this was true). I challenged what he was saying, and I must admit I have never seem so much rudness dealing with a car agency in my life: raising his voice, talking over me constently, telling me that he could be my dad (I'm 35...), the fact that he has over 7 millions euros on the street (irrelevent...) and all sorts of other things that in no way would prove any evidence on the car damage. There was another agent in the car rental who was unable to find evidences in their logging system to support his claim. She was repeatedly telling him to let us go. This car rental agency has tones of bad reviews (check google reviews too), and I can only say from my own experience that those reviews are 100% legitimate. For your own peace of mind, avoid this agency at all cost.

J’ai passé ma réservation par un prestataire français qui travaille avec Caldera en Grèce. La navette nous a récupéré à l’aéroport d’Athènes. Le véhicule est fait pour neuf personnes. Il nous a fait monter à 10 personnes et arrivé sur place dans leur bureau. La dame de l’accueil était hautaine et très désagréable et expéditive pour recevoir le remboursement de notre véhicule, il a fallu que nous appelons BSP quasiment tous les jours afin qu’elle remette le document à BSP, qui confirme que nous n’avons pas pris le véhicule.

Auto mit sehr vielen Mängeln.
Dreckiges Auto, kein entgegenkommen.
Abbycar oder Caldera beides das selbe. nicht zuverlässig & schlechter Fahrzeugzustand.

The office at Corfu is Poor and that is putting in mildly, also not based at the airport and had to get directions from another car hire company ! Unhelpful staff and the car was damaged on every panel , when I complained the representative just didn’t care ! Will never use them again .

Our experience with Caldera was a Fraud. No one here to welcome you at the airport, no one answering to phone and car was canceled without any notice as our flight was delayed by 20 minutes. I am amazed that booking.com is working with them.

Le 25 juillet 2025 Paris Athènes TO3524 avec 50 mn de retard. Caldera joint par tel dit envoyer une navette, rappel 30 mn plus tard sans nouvelles, ils ont annulé la réservation avec une pénalité de 25% du prix de la location.

Loads of unexpective charges.if you use this company be aware that you can get turned away at the desk.also we got a tiny bit of sand in the car and they charged 80 euros.another thing we were stranded at Athens airport for 2 hours

Finger weg! Über Check24 gebucht und via Aurum Cars vermittelt. Auto wurde nicht ausgehändigt. Angeblicher Grund "nicht akzeptierte Kredit/Debitkarte ". Wir waren zu viert und hatten x Karten dabei. Das Auto war bereits im Vorraus bezahlt. Wir wurden mitten in der Nacht zurück an den Flughafen Thessaloniki gebracht und konnten aufgrund der Uhrzeit auch keine anderes Fahrzeug vor Ort mieten. 134 Euro für ein Taxi waren nur der Anfang der zusätzlichen Kosten. Check24 dürfte mit diesem Anbieter nicht zusammenarbeiten.

Fahrzeug über Check24 angemietet. Vor Ort keine Aushändigung des Fahrzeugs, da keine physische Visa Karte vorhanden war. Vorhanden war eine Visa Debit, wird aber laut Mietvertrag akzeptiert. Weitere Visa-Karten via ApplePay zur Zahlung der Kaution vorhanden. Leider haben die uns um 23:30 Uhr dann abgewiesen und mussten schauen wo wir um diese Zeit unterkommen. Das ist der Hammer! Nie wieder werde ich diese kriminellen Machenschaften mit einer Anmietung angehen. Das ist eine riesen Sauerrei, da auch noch das Geld einbehalten wurde. Reklamation laut aktuell immer noch.
Ich bin tief enttäuscht!

Finger weg - obwohl ein gültiger Vertrag vorlag und der Mietwagen für 14 Tage auch bereits bezahlt war, wurde uns das Fahrzeug nicht ausgehändigt. Grund: Der Schweizer Führerschein wurde nicht als gültige Fahrerlaubnis akzeptiert! Es wurde ein Internationaler Führerausweis verlangt.
Rückerstattung von 100% negativ - es wurden 3 Tage in Rechnung gestellt.
Personal absolut nicht hilfsbereit und frech. In der Stunde als wir dort waren, erging es zwei weiteren Familien genau gleich. Dies riecht nach absolutem Betrug!

Eigentlich hätte diese 'Leistung' keinen Stern verdient!

Ik heb express de ophaaltijd een uur later gezet . We moesten op het vliegveld erg ver lopen en bagage ophalen. Totaal niemand gezien iedere mens bij de parking gevraagd of ze hun gezien hebben na 30 min eindelijk telefoon bereik gebeld zeggen ze dat ze vanaf 11 uur al hadden staan wachten dus we zijn te laat. Via booking com nu 90 euro verlies want je verliest 3 huurdagen bij annulering terwijl wij daar stonden ons hotel was ook verder van athene dus hadden echt auto nodig. Dus nu extra kosten door een überhaupt te moeten bestellen. Uiteindelijk contact met booking com gehad en via hun een andere suto bij ander bedrijf geregeld maar kost dus 90 verlies plus 300 euro meer aan auto huur. Maar omdat die 325 plus de nieuwe huur was afgeschreven hadden we weer het probleem dat er geen budget was voor de borg konden we dat weer gaan regelen. Boek hier niks er komt niemand opdagen en geven de klant de schuld. Maar dit verhaal krijgt staartje dit ga ik aan Rechtsbijstand doorgeven

Ich hätte 0 Sternchen gegeben wenn es möglich wäre…. Beim durchlesen von anderen Bewertungen sehe ich das ich nicht alleine bin mit meiner Erfahrung( egal welcher Abteilung).
Ich habe durch Booking.com reserviert und mich auf sie verlassen. Hätte ich die Bewertungen gelesen hätte ich hier nicht gemietet. Unnötige Versicherung wurde mich Versucht aufzudrücken(260€, wurde aber auf 240 reduziert als ich abgeleht hatte), „Neues“ Auto( 20 000 km), voll fertiggekratzt und trotz Video vom abholen hat der Bediener versucht von dem Depositum abzuziehen. Es ist deutlich das alle Kunden für die gleiche Kratzer bezahlen und das die niedrige Preise für das Mieten so kompensiert werden.Offensichtlich ist das eine Geschäftside egal welcher Lokation.

Ich bei Check 24 für den Urlaub vom 09.05.-30.05.25 einen Mietwagen gebucht, dieser Auftrag wurde ohne mein Wissen an Caldera weitergeleitet.
Der Mietpreis für einen Kleinwagen betrug ca.€ 165.- ich habe dann noch eine Versicherung für den Selbstbehalt von ca. € 120.- abgeschloßen.
Irgendwo wurde ich nach dem Geburtsjahrgang gefragt ich bin Jahrgang 12/1950, später sagte man mir ich hätte 1960 angegeben ? Falls es so wäre war es ein Tipfehler.
Als ich das Fahrzeug übernommen habe und die Kaution mit Karte bezahlte sagte mir die Dame sie müßte noch einen Zuschlag für das Alter erheben.
Später habe ich festgestellt daß dies € 210.- waren für jeden Tag € 10.-, ich fragte wo das in den AGB steht sie zuckte nur die Schulter, auf einmal versteht man sich nicht mehr. € 210 bei einer reinen Fahrzeugmiete von € 165, da stimmt doch das Verhältnis nicht mehr. Ich dachte das kläre ich mit Check 24 und habe den Sachverhalt am nächsten Tag gleich gemeldet. Man sagte nach dem Urlaub würde das geklärt, okay.
Bei der Rückgabe habe ich die Dame erneut angesprochen und ihr erklärt daß ich in Deutschland fünf hochwertige Auto´s fahre und hier für einen Panda so einen Aufpreis zahlen soll.
Dann bei Check 24 reklamiert, da wollte man dann immer neue Unterlagen nachgereicht haben.
Jetzt hat man mir mitgeteilt dass alles seine Richtigkeit hätte.
Ich bin noch am kämpfen, für Gerechtigkeit.

Hat alles super geklappt und Preis/Leistung stimmt auch. Gerne wieder. Freundliche Mitarbeiter.

Booked through booking.com, arranged a time to meet at the airport. Phoned after 20 minutes with no sign, literally said 'just wanted to make sure we're in the right place for pickup' and an extremely unpleasant man yelled at me aggressively to 'get inside and wait' before hanging up the phone. My partner phoned again after waiting another 20 minutes, got shouted at and hung up on. Waited an hour overall, no show, contacted booking.com and got a taxi instead. To make matters worse, took over a month to get the money back because the car hire wouldn't confirm we didn't pick up the car. They still haven't apparently, but we have our money back. Terrible service, glad we booked through a company and not directly.

Pessima esperienza. Sconsigliatissima. Contratto di noleggio ingannevole. Scortesia dell'addetto a Kos. Non hanno accettato un deposito di 750 euro tramite bancomat o contanti, dicendo che non sono una banca. Ma si sono presi 210 euro per la full insurance ed un deposito di 150 euro che poi hanno semplicemente stornato (tra l'altro ancoda devo vedere effettivamente lo storno sul conto). 4 persone al desk, solo una postazione attiva, tempi di attesa lunghi. Spese aggiuntive sostenute. Evitate questa società di noleggio.

This company CALDERA /ABBYCAR is a clear FRAUD. Do not give them any deposit or Credit card as they will not return it and they substantially overcharge for a minor damage or even for car malfunction. For example, for a remote key for a small car like FIAT Panda they charge 550 EUR. Do note, that over-charging is a fraud. Not to mentioned that they also did not return the balance of 200 EUR.
So even if they look appealingly cheap when you book on-line, they are very expensive at the end
A Greek police, after I reported the fraud, was surprised that tourists (succers like me), still hire cars from companies like CALDERA or ABBYCAR and strongly advised not to do this again. There are many other local fair Car rentals available

Lazy and unpolite agent that welcomed us today 1st July when trying to hand over the car.
They have nowhere in the contract or on the door the working hours but they wanted to charge us 25 euros for bringing the car 30 minutes earlier than 8 o clock in the morning.

I strongly advise against using this agency. I showed up with a valid CarJet reservation, all required documents, and a working bank card that I regularly use in France and abroad for car rentals.

The staff refused to give me the car, simply because the word “debit” was printed on my card — they didn’t even try to process the deposit. Just a few minutes later, I was able to rent another car from Hertz at the same airport using the exact same card with no issue.

Their only proposed “solution” was to sell me additional insurance, which I see as a disguised forced sale. The service I had paid for was never delivered, and I was forced to find a last-minute replacement at a much higher price.

This agency is completely unprofessional and should be avoided.
