Jack came and installed our ohme charger at home for us today and did an amazing job. Shown me how to work the app and answer any questions I had he also left the place clean and tidy when he left.

Brilliant guys sorted everything no problem 😊 👍

Jack the installer was absolutely fantastic.

Installation completed by Richard. Completed quickly and area left nice and tidy. Completed a check to make sure all was working. Very pleased.

Update. Number 2

Had a call on the 19th September to say they would sort it.

Guess what. Still no refund.

What is so hard to sort out. ?

Really bad customer service.

What’s the point of reaching out when no one replies ?

Still waiting for a refund of my deposit well over a month since last correspondence from Vicky saying it would be refunded by accounts.

Nightmare of a company to deal with.

After applying for finance I had paid 2 deposits for installation but the finance was rejected so my mother in law applied for us. Paid another deposit. This was accepted. Communication with Izzy was good initially.

I asked for a refund of the 2 depositors and was told it would be actioned on the Friday when accounts work.

Installation booked. Then we got told we would have to pay an extra £50ish pounds for extra fuse on the board. Fair enough I thought. Booked for 2 days after.

Day of installation and got a call to say that installer wasn’t available as he will I’ll. again fair enough. Things happen

Day one. Charger got sent in post. Wrong one. So we decided to cancel completely. Still waiting for 2 deposits to come back.

Day 2 installer came to collect the charger and I was told once this happened the finance would be cancelled and I’d receive all deposits back.

This never happened. I had to jump though hoops with the finance company to get it cancelled.

The bank refunded the first 2 deposits and I’m still waiting for the 3rd to come back which by the looks of it will have to get the bank to sort this aswell due to the lack of communication from charge point ev.

Fair enough it was confusing due to the issues with finance being rejected but nearly 4 weeks of waiting for my money to be refunded is a joke.

I’d steer clear of this company due to this as they don’t want to know and won’t reply to emails.

I rarely leave reviews, but felt compelled to share my frustrating experience. I paid an initial deposit for a home EV charging point installation, but never received a final invoice or any receipt for my payment. Despite multiple attempts to contact the company—through calls and emails—I’ve received no response whatsoever.

To make matters worse, my deposit was never refunded, and I’ve been left completely in the dark about the status of the installation or my money. The lack of communication and accountability is incredibly unprofessional.

I do want to mention that the electrical engineer who came out was friendly and seemed competent—unfortunately, he appears to be the only positive part of this experience.

Overall, I strongly advise against using this company. There are many other providers out there who are far more reliable and responsive.

I scheduled the installation appointment for the previous week; however, closer to the time I was informed the installer would be unavailable at 2pm. I rescheduled for the following Tuesday at 2pm, and while at work I was contacted again to say the installer would not be available at that time either. I took emergency holiday from work to be home for 12pm to meet the installer. When the installer arrived, he advised he did not have the necessary tools for the installation and left.

After repeated rescheduling and proposed revised quotations, despite having already provided all requested information and photographs, I decided it was best to cancel my order rather than continue with further appointments and changes to the agreed price.

I was then told I could not cancel over the phone and had to submit cancellation by email. I initially awaited confirmation of cancellation and a refund.

Update:
Following this review, the company refused to refund my deposit. I pursued the matter through the County Court. The court found that ChargePoint EV Ltd had failed to provide the required cancellation information under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. The defendant’s counterclaim was struck out, and judgment was entered in my favour for a full refund, interest, and costs. Payment was made following the court order.

Excellent service from the engineer who fitted my charger

I purchased my charger after chatting with one of the staff at Chargepoint. What I particularly liked was the fact that they didn't try to sell me something over the top, and listened to my needs. The installer, Richard was professional, courteous and very knowledgeable. He ensured that everything was working and set-up correctly. Overall I am extremely pleased with the service I have received.

From start to finish, the communication was brilliant. The team took the time to explain the installation process in detail and talk us through all the options available.

The whole process was incredibly quick — from those first initial conversations to having the charger fitted, it was all completed within a week.

Richard, who installed our EV charger, was fantastic. He was friendly, polite, and extremely helpful. His knowledge and skill meant the installation not only worked perfectly but also looked great. We were especially impressed that he managed to complete the wiring below rather than above, which we originally didn’t think would be possible!

We’re really happy with both the installation and the advice we received. So glad we chose ChargePoint EV — highly recommend!

Excellent job done, was very precise and thorough during the whole process and gave me explanation of all steps, also managed all isaues encountered during installation due to me having old connections. I can't recommend them enough.

Robert was brilliant! Few issues with installation but he was really helpful and we got the charger installed. Really professional, worked hard, friendly and good chat!
