The worst company I've ever worked…

The worst company I've ever worked with. I have yet to receive the title to my car three months after paying it off. It's impossible to get anyone on the phone, takes upwards of 45 mins to be routed to a customer service representative (not even being on hold) just by their internal routing process. Unbelievable.

can't pay extra to the principal

i just found out that paying the monthly Paiement early in the month is worthless because once it is paid, everything you pay extra goes straight to the next month and the next month on and on. So whatever you pay extra never goes to the principal only... they want their interest no matter what lol
third review here in couple years and still a bunch of thieves ...cant wait to be done

Total Distrust of this Financial Organization

Update - I am (slightly) changing this review since what I wrote below had the intended effect, and I was finally paid what they owed me. The rep that helped me made sure to leave a name and direct number and he persisted until we connected live. He got me a check for the money they owed me within 10 days. It's just a shame that I had to resort to telling this story in order to make that happen.

I recently turned in a Jeep leased through Chrysler Capital. In the few months preceding the lease end, my online account portal had inaccurate information, and deleted my auto pay information with no explanation. It had not accurately tracked payments that were made (verified on my bank account) and as a result, I ended up double paying one month's payment.

I called to rectify the situation in June and was told I would be getting a refund for the double payment via a debit card that would come in the mail. I called again in July to check on status and was then informed that I had to produce proof that I had paid twice before they would send me a refund. Not only is it ridiculous that I would have to prove it - they had already verified that I had paid twice on the earlier call. Not to mention it’s horrifying to think that a financial organization doesn’t even trust its own systems to track financial information. And the proof they asked for was absurd. They actually expected me to send them full bank statements. That’s private information and completely irrelevant. I sent them proof of the payments (and only proof of the payments).

I turned the Jeep into the dealership in July. In September, I FINALLY got some correspondence from them. And guess what it was? The final lease vehicle return fee. And a note saying it had been sent to a collections agency! They had never sent me an invoice in the first place, and then send me what is essential an overdue notice. Ridiculous. I mailed in the check, since I don’t trust them with my credit rating for a second. And surprise surprise, they cashed that check in about 5 seconds. But months later, they still owe me money and I have gotten zero response despite multiple calls and letter.

The worst. I will never have anything to do with any vehicle that is managed by them. And I will spread the word to warn others thinking of doing the same.

UPDATE: Regarding your reply below, the additional information requested was a reference number. I replied saying I was unclear what you need from me. What reference number? I am not going to waste any more of my time calling. Just send me the money you owe me!

Absolutely Terrible Company

I had a car accident in July, hydroplaned and flipped my car twice. The people who worked the wreck took the car to the wrecker service. While it was there, I made my payments (even though the car was totaled) and got permission from the lot to leave the car with them until I got the check to pay the car off since I live in a condo and have no place to store a totaled car. Chrysler Capital took it upon themselves to repossess my car even though I was caught up on payments and had permission from the wrecker service to leave the car there. Now, they are refusing to take the repo off my credit even though I now have a check to pay the car in full (and had permission to leave the car on the lot until I got the $18,000 check to pay the car off). How can you repossess a car that is caught up on payments and has permission to be sitting on wrecker service lot until you get the check to pay the car off???

Unprofessional

So to make this long story short, I found a truck I wanted from a local dealer. The truck I went for was a 2022 Dodge Ram 1500 E-Torque, which was a lease with the option to either refinance, purchase, and or give back after a 3 year period.

I was bit confused after a month roles by, because of the finanacing options and how much would I owe for the truck after 3 years if I decided to purchase it. Needless to say I called and the customer service lines up with exactly what everyone else says on here as far as customer service lacks heavily.

Personally I asked very basic questions and received rude short answers as if I interupted their play time or sleep time. The following week I decided to call again and see if I could give them a second try to obtain more information on the truck and again rude tone, no respect period, and very unprofessional demeanor.

What I personally find funny on this page is seeing the responses back from this business! How can you as a business read all the statements made by customers and give vague answers, let me guess they're all wrong.

Chrysler should legit stop commenting the same blank statements and start with action instead. Fire the ones who are unprofessional or as you can see your rating will stay 2 stars . I already plan on buying my truck out right to avoid this business!

Don't bother replying Chrysler as it is a dead end to speak with me, because apparently your ok with the negative reviews by many and apparently comprehend common sense to see the situation of bad customer service is still ongoing and nothing is being done to resolve the problem customer service reps!

Worried and stressed out

Hi. Chrysler Capital have been ok with me until now. I got behind in my payments because I caught covid twice and my job stop paying covid pay to its workers and I lost my dad and aunt and had to help bury them. I'm having after effects of covid and spending time at the doctors. But anyway I got a repossession letter from Chrysler Capital giving me to 9/23/22 to pay $782.00 in late charges or my car will be repossessed. Mind you I have a car payment due on the same day. Is there a way around it? I have been making partial payments every week trying to catch up but this letter has me stressed out and I don't want to lose my car because my late father help me get it.

Is my truck paid off, when do I get my Title!?

We sent our check to payoff our truck to be received by Chrysler Capital by 8-15-22. We have not seen evidence that the check has been cashed. When we tried to contact Chrysler Capital I went round and round with the robot on the phone and it kept telling me they have no data on me. I asked for help on this website and got a call the same day!! They are going to help with expediting our title so we don’t lose the sale of our truck. Thank you for your quick response!!

SHAME ON CHRYSLER CAPITAL

In 2017, we bought a 2017 RAM 2500, 4X4 with 6.7 Cummins.
Our financial institution, which is part of Chrysler Capital, told us to trade in our 2017 for a new one. Nothing special. Same truck, just new.
When we were done, the dealer tried to sell us a use truck a year older than what we have.
SHAME ON CHRYSLER CAPITAL!
So Chrysler Capital responded to my post on Trustpliot.
Nothing but bull hockey, they don't want to help.
Just like the dealer, Nothing.
Last time they were happy with taking our trade in and money.
Now, Nothing!
They asked for more information so they could contact us about this.
Still nothing.

Once again, SHAME ON YOU CHRYSLER CAPITAL!
So Chrysler Capital calls me, what for ,I have no idea, I guess to put me on hold and forget about me.
Cause that's what they did!
There is only a couple of things Chrysler Capital can do to make me happy.
New truck, same model that we have now.
Refinance the one we have now!

Pathetic customer service

Pathetic customer service. While other companies show compassion towards customers, Chrysler Capital looks down on theirs and judges them. It’s happened to us on more than one occasion and the absolutely horrible reviews for the company show that it’s not just an isolated issue.

Chrysler Capital cashed my payoff note…

Chrysler Capital is difficult to call. They cashed my payoff note almost two months ago and I have heard nothing yet. Worse, their phone service doesn't recognize my account number; required to get all the way through the phone system. Seems necessary to write USPS.

This is the terrible 😢 loan that I been involved, they hide a lot of information and have a very high interest, my was 26.5 , something incredible for a car loan. Term was for 76 months and the first 2 years I was paying only interest.

They are incredibly shady

They are incredibly shady, I was dealing with them and they have strange fees and the numbers don’t add up to the amount owed. I have asked them repeatedly to send me an itemized balance but they have not done it in-fact they have hung up multiple times and never called back or send an email as they stated they would. I asked if they could roll one payment to the end which they said they could but then would hang up midway through. I can smell scam on them. Stay away I regret doing business with them.

It is the worst place to do business.
They got paid off and kept the title for over a month
I could not sell the car, I lost a lot of customers. They even claimed they did not receive the payment even though the check was cleared from my account. they admitted that they did a mistake after many calls back and forth. Beware of this business. It does not worth, there a lot of other good lenders out there.

I've never had more trouble from a…

I've never had more trouble from a creditor than from Chrysler Capital, and that's saying a lot, given that I've had some pretty awful customer service over 20-30 years from various creditors. But Chrysler Capital takes the cake, from disregarding changes made to payment options to the inability to make changes yourself to your account without stipulations, all of which affect real-life credit scores, etc. I went from 850 to sub-700 all because of late charges that were not in fact late. I cannot state strongly enough how incompetent their whole system is. I wouldn't be surprised if they make a significant portion of their profit off of bogus fees incurred by their customers. Unconscionable! Stay as far away from this company as possible and secure funding through another source!

Want bad credit, harassing phone call, someone to fight over the phone with every month. This company would be your BEST option!

This company sucks! Would give ZERO STAR. If you want bad credit scores, harassing phone calls then this company is the right fit for you. System update turn around time is 1 month behind so always show you miss payment. They will report you for miss payments with their wrong information. Their customer service does not help and alway tell you it will update but in the meantime they write you up for late payments to lower your score. We probably made late payments like 2 for the whole 4.5 years we finance with them. When i look up my credit they reported me late for 8 times. Take big hit to my credit. We reported them to bbb and despute their report every time I check my credit! It's very frustrating fight with them every time I got on the phone. Once we are done with this. We NEVER use this company ever again. Their service just as suck as their car!

Made a 2 month payment and the system…

Made a 2 month payment and the system kept telling me technical difficulties and despite me repeatedly telling them this is an error on THEIR end that my payment isn’t showing, despite it coming out of my account (it told me there’s a technical difficulty and disconnected the call as I made the payment via phone, so never got a reference number or confirmation after repeated attempts and calls to do it online) and I even offered to send the proof they refuse to do anything as far as them taking my vehicle. I fell behind due to being out of work. So now I can’t attempt the payment again as it’s still pending from my card smh

If I could put no stars I would

If I could put no stars I would. They are trying to force me to pay using a service which costs extra. All the options to pay via online ach miraculously don't work . I used the exact same numbers over the phone after wasting 2 hours going around and around with them. Funny it worked just fine as it does with everything else I pay using yhat exact same info. But now again with the shady stuff won't allow me to pay unless I pay a fee.

Will never again use this company and if I could I'd send the vehicle right back to yhe dealer.

worst people to try and pay off your loan .such a run around. want take but a set amount so as to get those fees to transfer. well screw you . we sent a next day check take it or see you in court! update guess what they took it. Bad company to deal with.
