Ernstige klacht over de handelspraktijken van Delpaso

Bij de uitgifte van de auto werd ik onaangenaam geconfronteerd met de mededeling dat er ineens geen borg op mijn creditcard kon worden gereserveerd om de all-risk verzekering af te dekken.
Het feit dat op de creditcard slechts de voorletter voorkomt en niet de gehele voornaam, maakte voor de medewerker het onzeker dat ik de persoon in kwestie was.

Dit is een zelf gecreëerd probleem en onjuist daar op een creditkaart NOOIT de volledige voornaam word vermeld. Dit feit heb ik bij ICS card service ter plaatse gecheckt.
Daarnaast heb ik tot 3 maal toe met de makelaar Doyouspain telefonisch contact gehad, echter zij hebben hierin niet willen/ kunnen bemiddelen.
Ik kreeg de reeds bij Doyouspain betaalde auto niet mee tenzij ik een overdreven dure autoverzekering betaalde ter waarde van € 322,- (14 dagen)

Deze praktijken moeten worden gekwalificeerd als commerciële oplichting.

Tegenstrijdig genoeg heb ik deze
€ 322,- kunnen betalen met dezelfde creditcard die werd geweigerd voor het reserveren van de borg .

Bijkomende ergernis is dat ik reeds een aanvullende autoverzekering in mijn woonland had afgesloten.

Verder ben ik voornemens hiervan aangifte bij de politie in Spanje te doen.

This company has to be the worst ripoff car hire I've ever experienced.

Del Paso, booked the Malaga car through Car Jet, all seems fine, no insurance required as I have my own and the cost was very reasonable.

To arrive at the off site car hire at 1.30am, I had to pay an additional 40 Euros. Ok, that was also fine.

Then when I got to the desk, I was told that because I didn't have an International driving license (I have a UK one).

The only way to hire a car was to pay an additional 80 Euros and take out their full insurance. I said I didn't want to pay that as I had insurance, so they told me to go to another car hire company as my agreement was invalid.

I was only renting for 3 days. This cost was more than triple the original cost of the car hire. I check the UK and Spanish websites and both say I don't need an International Driving License for Spain.

Why does paying the premium price for insurance all of a sudden give me an international driving license?

I hate being ripped off, I had no choice but to take the insurance at 1.30am, I wasn't going to find another car hire company open.

Crazy that companies like this can get away with this.

J'ai loué une voiture avec Easyjet. Après d'avoir galéré pour trouver la navette, j'ai dû payer 40€ supplémentaires parce que mon avion décollait trop tôt et 140€ encore parce que ma carte de débit n'était pas acceptée. En plus, la voiture étaient en mauvaises état (bruit moteur, manque de puissance, manque de liquide pour nettoyer le parebrises, horaire d'hivern alors que ont été au printemps...) et personnel pressé et pas très doué aux explications, alors que je parle espagnol courrantement.

Un peu difficile pour trouver la navette à l'aéroport, mais sinon tout s'est bien déroulé: prise en charge rapide, voiture conforme à ce qu'on avait demandé, bon prix.
Rien à redire.

HUUR GEEN AUTO BIJ DELPASO!
Gebruik je een credit card met initialen, dan krijg je de auto mee niet bij Delpaso Malaga (als je de auto via een andere website hebt geboekt zoals cartrawler).In hun voorwaarden staat namelijk dat je volledige naam en achternaam op de creditcard moet staan. Je mag dan niet de borg op de cc laten reserveren, maar moet verplicht 161 euro betalen voor hun verzekering! OPLICHTERS!

No stars! Do not trust! Looks like a low price but then they hit you with unavoidable expensive extras. A €17 4 day car hire ended up as €100. Dangerous car with no windscreen wiper working in heavy rain. No power to get up hills. Had my own DCW insurance I use with all other hire companies but they wouldn’t accept it and charged an extra €20/day. Booked thru Do You Spain who were not interested/supportive whatsoever and very unhelpful/rude. Will definitely go with Malaga Cars again next time who are transparent.

If i could give them zero stars, i would do it. They gave me a confirmation email, were they said that they will arrive at the time i gave them. Nobody was there, i called them nobody answered for 15 minutes. And when we got them on the phone, they were very rude and in the end they hung up on us and never came. So please dont rent a car at them.

Bij aankomst bij de desk van DelPaso, moest ik mijn creditcard geven. Mijn Visa Card op naam van Initiaal en achternaam werd niet geaccepteerd omdat mijn paspoortvoornaam er niet op stond. Mijn MasterCard met mijn aanspreekvoornaam en achternaam werd ook niet geaccepteerd omdat mijn voornaam vanuit paspoort er niet op stond. Dus zou ik de gereserveerde en betaalde auto NIET meekrijgen.
Delpaso liet mij de CarTrawler voorwaarden zien en daar stond dat ook vermeld:

"Bij de verhuurbalie moet een geldige creditcard worden getoond op naam (voornaam en achternaam, geen afkortingen) van de hoofdbestuurder om een borgsom te kunnen pre-autoriseren/in rekening te brengen."

Ook nog gebeld met CarTrawler helpdesk en zij waren niet te overtuigen. Aan Delpaso heb ik zelfs aangeboden om cash de borg te betalen, dat werd niet geaccepteerd.
Als tegemoetkoming kon ik wel de auto meenemen als ik bij DelPaso een All Risk verzekering á €161 afsloot. Maar ik was al verzekerd via Cartrawlwer bij AXA. Delpaso gebruikt de Cartrawler voorwaarden om hun dure All Risk-verzekering op te dringen. Ik kreeg het gevoel dat het een ‘scam’ (oplichting) was.
Onder zware druk heb ik de verzekering bij hun afgesloten en alleen daardoor kreeg ik de auto mee.

Alquile un coche para mis padres para sus vacaciones en Málaga, a través de holiday autos en esta empresa, y les echaron para atrás la contratación por qué dicen que la tarjeta de crédito es digital por no tener la numeración ¿Se puede ser más ignorante? Revisando las reseñas vi otra chica que le pasó lo mismo con la misma tarjeta y aporta pruebas demostrando que no es una tarjeta digital, sino que es así por seguridad. Por lo que me demuestran que esto y muchas otras cosas que hacen, es para sacar más dinero del cliente .. no hay más .. OJALÁ le sirva a alguien mi reseña para que no alquile en este lugar 🙏

You start with EasyTerra (which CarTrawler is hiding behind)
It's a scam.
They feed you with misleading information making you think you make a good deal. Paying TOTAL price to them. First they tell you the car you rent will be picked up at the terminal, no at the very end they inform you that you need a shuttle service. Makes things more complicated and takes more time. Second and the worst is the initial info is Full to Full. You end upp att the rental company being forced to pay 175 Euros in adm fee plus super expensive fuel in advance. Be very very careful with them and you have to read every line on the voucher before you book in order not to be sheeted. By the way it's not EasyTerra it's actually CarTrawler hiding behind the name. And never book anything which has to do with Delpaso car rental in Malaga.

Although we paid to EasyTerra. We choose to leave Delpaso and went back to the terminal and booked a car through Discovercars and ending with a car from Thrifty. No problems and pick up in terminal.
These guys behave like gangsters.

Alquile con esta compañia a traves de Do you Spain. Dado que no complete con el numero de vuelo (pues vivo en España y soy residente), se negaron a entregarme la camioneta. Rarisimo, nunca me habia pasado y eso que he alquilado montones de veces y jamás me negaron el alquiler si no bajaba de un avión. Me quede sin camioneta que la precisaba para viaje familiar y sin dinero. VERGUENZA TOTAL, ESTAFA. TENGAN CUIDADO!!

Sooooooo… bad! The cars you choose from are ok, but you have to want an hour just to get a Del Paso bus to the cars. When i was there they took almost no credit cards and I got 2 options. Pay double or give them 2000 euro to get back when they get the car back. It was so messy. WHO DOESNT HAVE A BUY LIMIT ON THEIR CARD!!!

Escroc, surtout ne passez pas par cette société. Après avoir réservé via vueling rental car, arrivé à la compagny ils m'ont pris 1300€ de caution et nous poussent a prendre une assurance supplémentaire alors que la carte premier couvre ceci. De plus ils nous pressent de prendre une assurance complémentaire de 100€ soit disant pour éviter la caution.
Après avoir rendu le véhicule exactement dans son état d'origine ils ont essayé de me facturer des frais énormes pours des soi disant rayures sur le parchoc (a voir à la loupe !!) qui d'après eux n'y était pas alors que la voiture a dormi dans un garage fermé. Ce sont des escros comme d'ailleurs on peut lire sur les différents commentaires, expérience que j'ai subi. J'avais réservé un deuxième véhicule qu'il n'on pas voulu me remettre du fait que je ne me suis pas laissé faire, à ce jour je n'ai toujours pas été remboursé du deuxième véhicule alors qu'il m'a été facturé.

Never have I experienced something like that.

We were LEFT WITHOUT A CAR upon arrival at the airport, after talking to one of their concierges who acted as if under the influence, rude AF, while the rest of the staff snickered and pretended everything was normal when we asked them for assistance.

Basically, the bald little guy tried to find every possible excuse not to give us the car we booked thru an online broker (he said he "didn't like the way I was looking at him" and that he "was getting bored of the conversation" – and I swear I'm not joking).
Only later, when I googled Del Paso, did I understand what really happened there: we had already booked a third party full coverage insurance (which I thought was perfectly normal and fine), and they were not happy with it, so they were trying to force us into getting theirs instead – but I didn't get it on the spot because the bald guy at the counter with the menacing look was driving me nuts and I thought he was just a loon.

We managed to salvage our holiday by renting last second from another company – but BEWARE OF THESE *****: they will not hesitate to leave you without a car, stranded in the middle of nowhere.

From hundreds of other reviews, I learn that this is common practice for these unnameable individuals – but while we were experiencing this ordeal I really thought we were living a nightmare, halfway between buffoonery and tragedy.
How can these guys look at themselves in the mirror every morning is a true wonder.

ADVARSEL!!! LEJ IKKE BIL HOS DELPASO!!!
Ankom til Malaga den 2 Jan 2025 sammen med en gammel ven, som havde booked en bil hos DELPASO. Vi ankom sammen kl ca 22 på deres kontor. Min ven havde et bookings nummer og bekræftelse og planen var at vi skulle kører sammen til Marbella. De oplyser så at min ven ikke kan få en bil da personen er blacklistet i deres system og kan ikke få oplyst hvorfor. Men tror nok det er fordi der blevet klaget over at de tog Eur 150,- på kreditkortet da bilen ikke var 100% fuld af benzin og det var en lille bil med ca 35 liter i tanken. Nå men der var ikke nogen bil til min ven. Så tager jeg mine data frem og vil leje en bil for 12 dage, jeg arbejder delvis i Spanien og har lejet bil mange gange før. Så siger manden der sidder nr 3 fra venstre noget med "Idiot" til mig, og jeg for også at vide at jeg ikke kan leje bil her. Han har ikke fået mit navn endnu og jeg spørger hvorfor, og han siger noget om at jeg er heller ikke velkommen. Så der står vi i chok uden bil kl 23 den 2 Jan 25. Vi måtte så tage en UBER til ca Eur 100,- og jeg lejer nu bili et andet firma.

Die schlimmste Erfahrung die ich jemals gemacht habe bei einem Autoverleih!

Zuerst wollten sie 2100€ blocken anstatt von angekündigten 1500€

Sodann besprach ich, dass ich mein Bank anrufe und wiederkomme. In der Zwischenzeit wurde mein Auto an jemand anderes vergeben. Obwohl ich bezahlt habe für 6 Tage! Es wurde dann auf die AGBs verwiesen. Daten von Chef wurde nicht heraus gegeben!

Geld zurück gibt es nicht. Dazu extrem pampige Mitarbeiterin Fr. Gom**

Ich habe in den 2 Stunden dort vor Ort mit mehreren Menschen gesprochen, die alle übelste Erfahrungen mit dieser Firma gemacht haben!

Attention ! Très grosse arnaque ! Vous réservez votre voiture et payez la location de votre voiture depuis la France, et une fois sur leur terrain vague (l'agence est vraiment très loin de l'aéroport de Màlaga), ils refusent de vous louer la voiture au motif que votre vol n'est pas arrivé à la bonne heure ! Ils refusent de vous rembourser et vous laissent en plan, avec juste une proposition trois fois plus chère que vous devez accepter puisque vous êtes au milieu de nulle part. A éviter absolument ! Ces gens sont des voleurs et des arnaqueurs tout comme le site Discover Cars . com qui nous a mis en relation avec Delpaso. A fuir ! Payez un tout petit peu plus cher mais avec une vraie agence de location, pas ces escrocs !

We booked with discovery cars. We have our own Annual car insurance with Insurance4carHire. Upon declining Delpaso's insurance at the counter, and opting for the €1600 excess I was told that my Visa could not be accepted/blocked as it only has my initial not full first name. I've been using this card for over 20 years, up 4 rentals all annually all over Europe and never a problem. The Delpaso counter boy point blank refused the Visa. I even showed him my BCard App with my name and statement, with just initial. He point blank refused. After 30 mins left in the middle of nowhere, we looked for an alternative rental, but in the end we were forced to pay their extortionate insurance, as they would accept any debit or even my director's company card. It's clearly evident they want to scam you for their extortionate insurance by any means. In the end we ended up paying it rather than being left to walk down the dual carriageway and find an alternative like others mentioned in here. After we went back to the counter, the Schieschter even said they'd automatically cancelled our booking as we were late. Wow WTF? Did we get the Alfa Romeo or equivalent, well he dangled 7 sets of Fiat Tipo and said that's all we have. Battered to foook and the power of a hair dryer for the next 20 days. To put it in context, 6 months ago we rented with Recordgo for 47 days and cheaper than DelPasoScam and a very nice car indeed. Heed my advise and avoid them! O yeah we booked through discovery cars and they're in on the Scaaam as well, so don't expect any help from them.

J'ai loué une voiture via EASYJET. Le nom du prestataire n'apparait pas sur la confirmation.
Beaucoup de déconvenues et un surplus financier.
-A l'arrivée à Malaga, perte de temps pour trouver DELPASO qu'il faut joindre par téléphone.
-Agence DELPASO à 2 km de l'aéroport. Ils ont une navette qui vient vous récupérer. Faut-il le savoir !!
-Au moment de prendre la voiture, besoin de payer 140 € à cause de ma carte bancaire "débit", alors que j'avais réglé au préalable avec EASYJET.
Je ne comprends pas comment EASYJET peut travailler avec un prestataire aussi peu scrupuleux que DELPASO.
