They have scammed me /I collected the car last Friday and I checked the car for damage at 10 pm in the dark as far as I could see three was no damage.
Used the car to drive to Cádiz parked in a private car park until return today not used in between
On return the agent found a small scratch on the rear bumper
Charged me 193 euro for damage that would probably cost next to nothing to polish out.
I had no option but to pay as they held my deposit.
As I left the desk the other staff were laughing as they knew they had cheated me
There is no way that I had caused the damage it was there when I picked up the car
This is just a way of making money I am angry and would recommend you don’t use them I believe it’s just a money making scam

Booked a delpaso rental online and paid upfront for hire and insurance . After eventually finding the shuttle to an obscure location Late in the evening I was asked to pay three times more than what I had already paid for the hire up front. The Delpaso staff member was extremely unfriendly and was relying on the fact that another weary traveller would just pay up ……wrong. I returned to the airport got a train and then walked in the pouring rain to my accommodation. The next day away from the airport I set about hiring another car with little or no chance of getting my original payment refunded. Great start to a holiday!! The moral of this story is clearly do not touch Delpaso and probably more important their booking company Car Scanner who seem to be uncontactable and not on Trustpilot whereby other unsuspecting travellers could be warned.
It reeks very much of a scam so please be warned: Delpaso and Car Scanner avoid at all costs

I’m writing because I booked rental with Del Paso at Malaga airport then was super stressed when I read all the negative reviews…
So I booked through a third party site - it was much cheaper than booking directly.
I’m from the UK, I did not need an international driving permit & was not asked for one. I was not forced to take out their additional insurance, I just politely declined it. This was possible because I allowed them to put a block of €1500 on my credit card. This was never actually taken from my account. Take care to have a credit card in the drivers name that doesn’t expire til 3 months after the hire ends, as well as a passport.
The car - there was one small dent on the car plus a few very small scratches - I recorded all of these in pictures in case it was disputed. However when we returned the car, the lady had a Quick Look round the car, got into it and checked we had filled the car with petrol and recorded the mileage. No problems whatsoever.

DO NOT USE Disgusting lack of service. Supposed to supply a shuttle to their car depot, when called they told us to get a train as they were too busy and hung up. I tried calling back but they didnt answer. Ended up having to get a taxi only to arrive and they told they wouldn't give us the car without an international driving licence, which isn't mandatory when driving in Spain with a UK photo licence. We used this company last year and this wasn't a requirement then. Also after a heated discussion they admitted that they didnt even have a car for us!! Total rip off. Just out to take money from people and not supply the goods. DISGUSTING

Eficientes, entregaron el coche limpio y en buen estado mecánico, sin complicaciones en el check-in, ni insistencia con el tema de los seguros, tal vez un poco más "rugosos" al devolver el coche, al controlar todos los detalles : No se olviden de hacer TODAS las fotos necesarias para el control contradictorio del estado del coche ! El servicio de shuttle estuvo perfecto. Por el precio, nos pareció muy correcto.

Malgré les avis défavorables , j'ai quand meme tenté l'experience !!! tout d'abord la voiture n'etait pas la bonne quand on nous marque categorie equivalente ,je suis désolée mais une ds 3 n'est pas l'equivalent d'une c1! l'employé n'a rien voulu savoir ,concernant la politique du carburant ,bravo aussi ,nous compter un plein 150 e en plus de la location , en disant qu'ils vous rembourserons ,mais c'est vicieux c'est uniquement si vous ne videz pas ce plein...au retour une rayure est apparue, alors que nous l'avions jamais vu ,en plus toute recente , comme si elle avait été faite le temps que nous etions au guichet,la bagatelle de 193.6 e, alors que 2 autres rayures que nous avions en photo n'ont pas été réparé , avec notre participation ils vont refaire tout le bouclier arriere, quand je lui ai dis , il a dit bien sur madame ! au depart le prix est alléchant à l'arrivée c'est une grosse arnaque , à eviter .Au depart personne ne se deplace c'est rapide ,par contre au retour c'est bien marqué :compter 30 mn ... sauf si vous prenez l'assurance bien sur qui double le prix !

Like many others here I prepaiod to rent this car with a UK company (Argus Car Hire) expecting to collect in Malaga. I had with me all the docs required: driving license, credit card in my name (the same one I had booked the car with), passport and voucher. I opted to pay the €1,500 deposit rather than accept the (rip off) €180 unnecessary additional insurance. The card I wanted to use for this was the samne on I had used in the orignal booking: my Amex card - which Delpaso said they didn't take. Which should not have been a problem as I had a backup Revolut card and Curve card (linked directly to a credit card) as well as numerous credit cards I could have made the transaction on via my phone or watch. They said they didn't accept cardless payments "because we all know yo ucan easily change the numbers in your phone or watch" (which is, of course, complete nonsense). I even offered to pay the €1,500 in cash. All were refused by the extremely unhelpful, rude staff on the desk. Finally, I agreed to pay the €180 ripoff insurance fee which they had said I could do early in the conversation. But they responded by ripping up the paperwork concerning this that I had completed and refusing to talk further to me.
So I have paid for a car they have failed to provide me even though I fully complied with all of their requirements. I won't be using them again - and suggest noone else should either.

This company is unbelievably bad. I placed a review on ‘Google” and it unashamedly appealed it so that honest/ negative reviews aren’t logged. I strongly recommend and urge you to look elsewhere for car hire. I have written to delpaso asking for the data they hold on my profile under “right to access’ but I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that I haven’t received a reply or acknowledgement is my review..
The worst car hire company I have used in 40 years of travelling. I arrived to pick up my car at Delpaso car hire after taking courtesy coach so was off airport and was told that they would not rent the car to me. It transpires that because I had previously left a negative review that they logged this against my profile and would not rent the car that I booked 5 months ago. So much for wanting to give them the chance to show that their service had improved, that they left me in Malaga without a car. If they hadn’t wanted to accept my booking then surely they should have cancelled it when I made the order, but I’m afraid Delpaso have not changed …their customer service is the worst I have ever experienced ( and after renting over 100 cars that says something) so I strongly suggest that you avoid them. Here is the review that the ‘blacklisted” me for…. I strongly suggest that you never, ever use this company Del Paso. They left me in a very dangerous situation.
When I arrived on 13th of October 2017, , I was advised that photos needed to be taken when I picked up the car which I did. This was needed as I did not want to pay for their insurance as I had purchased an annual car insurance policy with a company in England for all car hire in Europe. They no longer identify the scratches or dents on the car for you.
Upon returning the car today at the offsite Malaga airport office at 08.00, I took further photos to ensure that there were no issues. I then went to the " return car kiosk' and was met by a very rude and aggressive member of delpaso's team. He did NOT greet me with a " good morning", but said in a very aggressive tone " why did you take photos?". I explained that the helpful member of the team that I saw on arrival suggested that I take photos both at the beginning and end of the car hire.
After waiting, the same person then checked the car and identified 3 areas of concern. I asked whether he had details of whether these small scratches had been logged on their system before I picked up the car, and he responded with...." It's your job to take photos on arrival and prove the scratches were already there on pick up".
I showed him the photos that I had taken on picking the car up on the 13th, which showed the scratches were there before I took the car. He wrote on the paperwork " all ok".
Whilst waiting for the courtesy bus back to the airport, I was chatting to two groups of people that had also returned their car who were equally surprised by the aggressive nature of the same person. He had asked one lady to wait whilst he checked my car and then ignored her when he came back to the desk and served somebody else.
I visit Spain regularly and I am impressed by how helpful and polite the Spanish people are......with this one exception. I asked the person for his name so that I could write to delpaso so they could look into this persons very poor attitude. He said its ..."delpaso". I asked again very politely but he refused to give me his name.
As he was unwilling to give me his name, I took a photo of him, which I will send to delpaso.
He then refused to take me back to the airport and with my flight leaving 2.5 hours later, I had to walk back to the airport ( about 1.5 km) walking on an extremely busy road……absolutely appalling Delpaso….you should be ashamed

I booked a car hire directly through Delpaso, unfortunately I didn't receive a confirmation email for my booking, but I email them pre flying out to Malaga and they assured me that it shouldn't be a problem.
When we arrived in their office,Alex behaved like real gangster, asking to see my Boarding pass!!! and so on, then he switched to telling me that the email deal is void, and I have to take fresh one or he'd show me the door(what a cheek).
I was having none of it and just walked off. My promise is NEVER AGAIN. And please people, dont fall for their cheap prices. Plus No one will take your complaints ...... It has to be real bad

I booked with a third party and I had rac excess insurance. They said that’s fine if you don’t want our excess policy (another 150) can they see my international driving licence…..??? I’d never heard of it. He smugly asked if I’d printed out the rental agreement and there it was hidden deeply in the small print and he knew exactly where to look so it must be a common leverage tactic to extort money because if you took out their top of the range insurance you magically didn’t need the international drivers licence. He then smiled at me and said no refunds. I lost my money and booked elsewhere. This year we are using cargest they have been recommended by a few people and they have good reviews

On vous loue une voiture pas cher et pour cause ! aucun dommage apparent sur le contrat. On vous conseille de prendre des photos et vidéos. Ma voiture était garée entre deux voitures (astucieux !) j'ai fais le tour, pris des photos de ce que je voyais en rayure. Mon erreur a été de ne pas me mettre accroupis entre les voitures pour voir le dessous.
Dès mon retour pour restituer le véhicule, l'agent DELPASO est sorti de l'agence et à pointer de loin du doigt le bas de la voiture. Il savait pertinemment que le bas de caisse était abimé sur le dessous et me demande les photos de ce dommage sans même regarder le reste de la voiture. Je lui montre mes photos sans grand intérêt pour lui et qu'il ne prend pas en compte. Il commence à me dire que ces photos ne sont pas recevable car trop flou, etc ... que ma caution sera retirée pour ce dommage. Montrant mon désaccord il s'est mis en colère ne voulant rien savoir et surtout que c'était pas son problème !!.
Il retourne dans l'agence, me dit que cela se règlera par mail, qu'il ne veut plus parler avec moi et prend en charge un autre client en me faisant signe de la main de dégager ! sympa non !?
1 semaine après cette restitution, je suis prélevée de 193.6€ dont j'ignore totalement à quoi cela peut correspondre (pas de mail ni courrier d'info malgré que se soit indiqué dans leur CGV). Bien sûr Delpaso ne répond pas à mes demandes d'explications.
Donc l'arnaque est belle et bien de rigueur pour ce loueur et bien connu. Il s'agit de vous louer des voitures pas cher et vous facturer des réparations ou autres qu'ils ne feront jamais à la restitution.

Avoid - like the plague….
Avoid this company at all costs if you value your peace of mind and cash. Missold additional excess upon collection of the vehicle and currently in dispute with them / third party to have this refunded. I’d liken it to the PPI scandal of recent years. Similar grievances from a number of other families / groups on the occasion I returned the vehicle whether this be them claiming damage on the vehicle that was never there or similar to my own experiences. Shuttle bus to remote base from Malaga airport unlike the majority of other car rental companies; extremely time-consuming and ineffective process. I’ve learned an extremely valuable lesson and may have to put it down to experience but would never consider DelPaso for a moment again. The staff were extremely aggressive, surly and rude with zero effort to resolve the dispute; again, not just my experience but that of those around me. One dissatisfied customer tried to call the head office, explained the issue and had the phone put down on her.
