If i could give zero stars i would .. .this company is up there with communist/ nazi party they over charge for their service and have bad costmer service.
I would give this company zero stars if…
I would give this company zero stars if I could. My electric bill is consistently over $800 per month because of the Public Benefits Charge, and there is no way to opt out. This charge is an enormous burden on my family. It's unacceptable that customers are forced to pay such high fees without any options or recourse. An independent audit needs to be conducted to investigate this company’s practices, which appear to be borderline corrupt or at least highly questionable. Customers deserve better accountability and fairness.
Added fees, including ones we cannot opt out of, are a killer
My usage alone is a reasonable cost given the season, but adding the transmission, local delivery, and public benefits costs (that we CANNOT opt out of) are absolutely annihilating me, and on a single income, it isn't cute. I barely run my heat as is in an attempt to keep the cost down, but to keep from literally freezing, I at least need to keep it at 55 degrees. Even at that, my bill was over $300 recently, and I wasn't home for 2 weeks! Absolute robbery, and I hate using that phrase. Do better, Eversource.
Pinnicle of corrupt monopoly.
For a company who main purpose is to maintain the utility lines, they failed to do but the bare minimum for years, and due to the severe winter storm in 2008 were forced to cleanup thier mess only to turn around and put the burden on the clients by increasing charges almost 10 fold. I say clients facicously, as they have a monopoly and you can't evenly legally disconnct from the grid in this state. This is especially problematic when delivery charges are more than double generation charges and they gave record compensation to thier executives in return for poorly managing the company. I've been petitioning local and federal legislature to make changes to no avail. To add insult to injury our power was turned off today after remained of payment was sent in full on the 4th and posted on the 6th. Representative claims last payment was not found in thier system only to call back 10 minutes later the moment I sent bank records stating the payment just posted (bank records prove ACH payment posted 3 days ago) Will be without power now for 2 days with a 48$ reconnection fee for an issue on thier end.

I ran into hard times and got behind in my payments. They turned my electricity off the second week of November. The worst of it, after I got the full balance paid up, taking my rent and from other places, they told me my electricity would be back on in a couple of hours. It’s been nearly 24 hours and my house is cold...55 degrees. Everyone there turns a deaf ear. No heat, no oven. Poor customer relations.

There is a special place in Hell for this company and its directors. This is a heartless, greedy, unrelenting, awful awful place. I hope that the corporate brass and the board members who are likely enjoying their beach vacations and $200,000 cars will one day become aware of those of us who have had to make the choice between food on our table or paying the power bill. Things at ES will not change unless the current execs are removed. Employees cannot speak up for fear of retribution. So many incompetent people work there due to nepotism and equity. Its sad because so many of the ES employees work hard and care about what they do.
Eversource Rakes In Profits Raises While Raising rates
Eversource puts all their debt on the backs of consumers while management rakes in the money. We put in solar to try to save money, but Eversource has tacked on so many fees to their delivery service that it is some times more than double our supply costs. They add a bunch of nonsense fees that pass the cost of doing business right back onto the consumer. We should own stock in Eversource, since we are paying their costs. I hate them so much. They are raking in profits, yet continue to cry over their debt. Pay your damn bills before paying your CEO $18.89 million a year instead of raising our fees again!

Deplorable company and customer service. No one answers any questions service reps are rude. You can’t get anywhere with anything thru customer service tried four times 25 minutes on hold no call back except a survey? On top of ridiculous delivery charges that are more than our monthly bill! Time for some customers all of us to stop this mega monopoly grinding us all into the ground with their cost of maintenance they never actually do but charge more for. Disgusted!

I have 2 eversource accounts in 2 different states. Normally, I pay by phone and I am prompted to enter my account number that I want to pay. This past time, I was not. Money was directed to wrong account. Two lengthy phone calls and 5 customer service people later, the money was not directed to correct account. Extremely frustrated.

Worst customer service ever. They overdraft my account by 10,882 dollars twice. Nobody is able to fix it, I spoke with 7 or more agents and they keep transferring me, in the meantime they kept asking me if i'm interested in solar, what a nerve! Horrible company.

I spoke with brandy today regarding a downed pole. She stayed on the phone with my husband and I for over 1.5 hours trying to help us solve our problem. She was knowledgeable, resourceful and helpful. She was a pleasure to talk to. Eversource needs to give her a promotion. Her customer service skills and knowledge about your company is stellar and second to mone.
Terrible company stay away if possible
This is truly one of the worst companies I've ever encountered. Starting new service? Ok there's an option to do that on the website. I try. Doesn't work. Ok I call them. Says I need to upload documents. Ok. A day later, it failed. Please upload more documents. Ok. A day later, it is accepted. Ok. So surely I can start service now right? Nope doesn't work. I call them again. Ok now it finally works. I ask for a confirmation email. They say I will receive it shortly after the call is over. I never got an email.
Only good part is the person on the phone was not rude.

Give 0 stars I would. Eversource exemplifies what it looks like when a company has no competition and therefore they don’t care. They don’t even try to care. I’ve had several really awful experiences with Eversource with documenting account information I incorrectly. After several attempts and long wait times they needed over 5 times to actually do what it is that they said they were going to do which was simply change account information to reflect the correct account holder. This held up our solar panel project by over 6 months.
Most recently an error on automatic payment happened and we received no notifications. Our electricity was shut off without any notice. Even after resolving the payment issues immediately online they refused to turn the power on until the next day even when a maintenance person from Their company was right in our driveway. They said he cannot help bc that wasn’t their policy. The whole thing is disgusting and sickens me how they would leave a family and people without water, heat, and electricity for over 24 hours even after the issue was resolved and a person from

Worst customer support ever
Worst customer support ever. Not only are their rates incredibly high but no one seems to know what's going on. I have a credit for $371 that is being added to the amount owed, instead of subtracting it. I have spoken to three agents (customer support, credit and billing) to help me understand my bill, but they keep transferring me to someone who can better help me. Each time throwing me back into the long queue. One hour+ later, no one can!!

Customer service is poor
The customer service is poor. After waiting on hold for 20 minutes, I was sent to the incorrect department, then to the "right" department, and before I spoke with anyone, the call abruptly disconnected. The automated system is inefficient and requires a particular cause for the call; when I offered one, it did not understand and assumed there was a power outage. This was a dead end and I did not have the option to go back. As a result, I had to make many calls and lost over 50 minutes.
