It is absurd to pay over $200 for…
It is absurd to pay over $200 for electricity... Especially with the crazy delivery fees are sometimes half of your entire bill. Oh and the fact you are never home cause you have to work 2 jobs to pay all these outstanding prices even though you pay everything early and prompt. Things are not making sense and do not add up. CT is highway robbery..
Absolutely the worst company out there
Absolutely the worst company out there. I live in a multi-family house. They totally screwed up both of my utilities and have been charging me my neighbors bill for over a year. They haven’t reached out in 3 months. They deleted my electric account, and sent me a disconnect notice.

Recently I called customer service because my bill came out to twice more then what I usually pay and all I wanted was a meter checking, the customer service didn’t care at all seemed to want to end my call without any solution. I am looking into changing my electric company.

UPDATE: They increased their bills by 48%, that's doubling your bills! Can you believe this company, begs the question, how many millions does the CEO, CFO and other executives make? WITH INFRASTRUCTURE BUILT BY OUR GRAND, & Great grandparents, these people have no shame! People need to speak up more. THANK GOD I got solar, Eversource doesn't want u to go solar because you will break free from their chains, call this guy (Michael Ficarra) at Venture solar, tell them Gus sent you their way 1 (413) 222-6258, the state gives you 26%back on the price of the solar panels in your tax return!
They charge $170+ just for "delivery fee", with infrastructure that was built BY THE TAX PAYER, 100+ years ago. RIDICULOUS. Lower your "delivery fee"... We, the tax payer built your infrastructure nearly a century ago. And when you get solar, they only pay you 14c p/KW hour, when they charge 22c P/KW hour for their own pockets. This company needs to be seriously regulated. We need to stop regulating the private sector and start regulating these tax payer funded, public utilities, "legal monopolies", they need some serious regulations.
Outstanding customer service
I needed to call customer service to get assistance with helping one of my participants for work. Tracy in South Carolina went about and beyond. I had been calling and working on an issue for months. She got everything cleared up and was so friendly and knowledgeable. When we were done with that issue she had to hand me off to another department and made sure the connection was made. I then spoke with Robin and AGAIN another person who was knowledgeable and friendly! Thanks EverSource!

They're lazy thugs who do not care at all about customer service and told me there was nothing I could do about it because they're the only game in town. I wish Massachusetts would reform this cartel.
Worst of worst !Terrible power company
Terrible power company. National grid is a million times better. Incompetent emergency crew. Unavailable staff in storms and other situations. Took 15hours for them to just report tree limbs touching power lines causing the outage and fixing it..terrible. Bunch of losers! Avoid avoid avoid !

Gross Incompetence
Incompetence at this latest storm power restoration. 6 days, no crews in sight. Eversource should have to pay for national guard cost and refund all delivery fees to customers. No one at company should get any type of bonus this year.

The Worst
I just moved into my apartment. I’m currently 39 weeks pregnant and it’s winter. My service was disconnected without warning. No one called or emailed, they only claimed they sent a notice to my mailbox, which is impossible because it’s broken. There’s no emergency technicians to fix urgent situations after hours or on weekends. So rather than being empathetic, the call center is rude and tells a 39 week pregnant woman to go to a hotel or relative’s house and “try back” on Monday. I’ve never received a bill and was never notified that my service was conditional until they received a copy of my driver’s license. So now I’m without power in 20 degree weather at full-term pregnant and they don’t care to rectify the situation quickly or make it a priority it even for Monday. I’m just told to “try back” when they are open on Monday. It’s completely irresponsible to not have protocol in place for urgent situations and the call center is completely incompetent but they are aware that this bull crap is “completely legal,” so they don’t care. I cannot wait to talk to a manager on Monday to hear their excuse for the absence of actual customer service.
When delivery costs way more than the energy being delivered, it's time to take a stand!
It is totally unacceptable that delivery charges can add up to more than 125% of the energy costs that Eversource is providing and that they charge these outrageous fees to every single customer. What a racket considering all they have to do to complete delivery is maintain the transmission lines and no one actually delivers anything. If maintaining the system costs more than the service that system is providing, Eversource has created a serious problem that they have been passing onto us. It's called greed and the result is their stock is up 3 fold over the last 10 years.
Who let this irresponsible Monopoly into multiple States, taking over their local power and gas companies, only to run them so inefficiently that for the first time in 100 years it now cost more to deliver the service than the service is worth??? Any other business that was not allowed to form a Monopoly would fail under these conditions! Eversource has gotten away with this for over a decade because we are not smart enough to organize an effective protest against this abuse of OUR power.
What improvement in service has Eversource made since taking over any of these previous companies that should earn company shareholders a 3 fold profit? Did they update or build any new power plants? I think not. What they did was permanently shut down several local power stations. Then they installed new long distance transmission lines to import power at a cost that coincidentally, is up by about the same 200% since their takeover. With such massive increases in profits, we have to ask where is there room for proper reinvestment towards maintenance and local upgrades?
Someone with some website or social media skills needs to start an online petition against these absurd delivery rates. I don't know a single Eversource customer that would resist signing such petition. We can't do anything alone but if handled properly, in less than a year it should be easy to get at least half of their 3.6 million customers to sign this petition. Everyone that signs should inform at least 2 neighbors, asking them to sign. If this could receive a mere mention in the news, the numbers would instantly explode. Send the signed petition to the Public Utilities Commission and demand action.
