Prompt and helpful response
Prompt and helpful response to email regarding leaving the tour in Paris on the return journey. We tried to book using the website but the payment didn't complete for some reason. One quick call to customer service and everything was sorted quite quickly.

Highlights of the Glacier Express
We have just returned from Highlights of the Glacier Express tour. It was absolutely magical, I booked online and downloaded the GRJ App. The Glacier Express has been on my bucket list for some time, but GRJ included The Bernina Express time in Strasbourg, Chur and Zermatt, a fabulous guided tour with so many interesting facts on the history of the Matterhorn and the climbers who survived and those who didn't. Our guide helped us with additional trips on the Gornergrat Bahn to the Matterhorn and The Matterhorn Glacier Paradise Cable Car ride, GRJ also provided each tour guest with a half price Swiss card which provided us with free entry to museums, half price rail and cable car rides - It was a fabulous week and an experience we will remember for ever!

U.S. traveler means extra needs
My situation is quite unique, living, as I do in the western U.S. So some of my questions are somewhat unique: about getting a visa, the best way to travel to and from the tour destinations and how much time to allow for that travel, and how long to plan to get there before the tour. I've needed to get help from Vacations by Rail, here in the U.S. But they need to continue to work for me with Great Rail Journeys, too. This is still very much a work in progress and I'm hoping it starts really coming together soon. So I appreciate efforts so far but it's presently needing much more to be what it needs to be.

Clear details and joining requirements sent by email, including overnight hotels etc Very quickly . Would be nice if there was an option for travelling companion to fill in their own details in forms addressed to them, and for luggage tags to be sent direct to them.

Helpful Service
To start with, I couldn’t get the website to work, but that may be a problem with my laptop, so I called the number on a previous email. The customer service person was helpful and efficient and helped me book exactly what I wanted.
