I think the charges are to high and different staff tell you different things although on this occasion we had a fantastic lady called Samantha Dehinbo who was brilliant and answered all questions and if she couldn’t she came back with the answer, Samantha made everything very easy, the rating is for I am sold as if it was for Samantha it would be 5 Stars

Got surveys on a property and…
Got surveys on a property and solicitors involved for an auction ending tomorrow, got an email this morning saying to place a bid, was still on auction at 9am this morning, 11am pulled from auction saying sold and would not take any further auction offers. Just be careful about paying for any services because properties are pulled early even though you would be willing to offer more money. No indication they were going to pull the listing and no ability to make a higher offer.

A NATIONAL INVESTIGATION NEEDS TO BE HELD!
They are lying, cheating thieves. They diddled me out of a large portion of my life savings. They do not care about the catastrophic effects of their actions on local hard-working families and community members. They only care about enriching themselves at the expense of others. Do not engage with them and do not go anywhere near the ABSOLUTE SCAM of modern auctions, which they use to legally bamboozle people before realising they have been sold a LEMON LOT (JUST LIKE IN CAR AUCTIONS)...
They will happily misrepresent and obfuscate the details of a property, including vital information about subsidence and structural issues, mortgageability, resaleability, insurability, and appreciability, just so they can get their cut.
I urge all UK residents to boycott this business due to their dishonest and borderline illegal practices.

AVOID - if you can!
*** Buyers view of I AM Sold ***
Bought on auction, paid just shy of £7k within 15 minutes. Have heard from I am SOLD 3 times. Have chased at least 5 times. Least amount of time waited on phone is 35 minutes to speak to someone at I AM SOLD.
For context.
When you buy - I AM SOLD send your solicitor the contract and your solicitor need to confirm receipt. This in essence starts the 56 days countdown to ownership.
I AM SOLD sent approx 8 days after auction, not immediately. Didnt cc us in, didnt chase solicitor, sent to wrong inbox. Called us (so thankful for that one call) to prompt, our solicitor then found the email and confirmed receipt which started the 56 day countdown to us owning the house. This was now 3 weeks after the auction.
Since then nado, niente, nothing......have emailed and asked to be cc'd into any correspondence. I am not cc'd in. Because there is no correspondence.
I AM SOLD tell the sellers that their form of auction definitely goes through and normal sales only go through one in three. This is factually incorrect. This is mis - selling and statistically wrong.
Estate agents stop selling this companies service - it isn't good.
We will be buying again via auction. Unfortunately if a bargain comes through in an area we want we may have to use this unprofessional, money grabbing clowns, BUT would rather use one of the others.
From auction to ownership will have taken us three months....or just under - may as well as got a mortgage!

Over-promised security, under-delivered in practice
We chose the “modern method of auction” through I Am Sold because it was presented as offering speed, certainty and protection for the seller, albeit at a very significant cost. Unfortunately, our experience was the opposite.
The process was heavily oversold. Deadlines that were presented as part of the structure of the method were repeatedly missed, and the transaction drifted far beyond what had been promised. When issues arose on the buyer’s side, the much-advertised security for the seller quickly disappeared.
Despite paying for what was marketed as a structured and secure process, the seller ultimately carries most of the uncertainty. The system appears to work far better for the platform than it does for the vendor.
We were also encouraged more than once to lower an already realistic offer, which rather highlights the underlying model — anyone can sell a property if they push the price down far enough.
In short, the service felt over-promised and under-delivered, particularly given the substantial fees involved. Sellers should look very carefully at what protections actually exist in practice before choosing this route.
