Can I not give them anything
So had my assessment because I suffer with copd and mental health issues by a so called nurse.well if she is infact a nurse she needs to be struck off. Not only did she lie she even made crap up like I can walk over a mile and a half.funny that the council gave me a blue badge because I can't walk more then 200 metres.i have put a full official complaint in.plus I rang dwp to go over the report with them to point a few things out that was totally lies and the good thing is I can prove this as I recorded the call..this company needs to be shut down and proper doctors should be doing the assessments not just a ordinary nurse who knows nothing about copd she even told me this.said I denied and suicidal thoughts even though I was section a cpl of years back and had the police ring me last year because the job centre was concerned for my mental health.and to be honest she never even asked me about my mental health not once...she just lied after lie

Once I got my phone review back and they said they can't help I looked at the reasons, they give you a form with the questions they asked you, your answers they send to the DWP are NOT your answers, I have to walk with a stick, so I'm aided in my walking g, possibly can walk between 30mtr to 50mtr, have a rest and sometimes take a puff of my gtn spray, their answer they give back to DWP is I can walk over 200mtr unaided.
That's just one example of the changed answer they send to DWP.

You can change your name but you are still a barbaric inhumane service ! A service that fails people before they are even given a chance , disabled people being made to attend assessments sometimes up to 40 miles away from their home , continuous lies told to prevent money being given to the appropriate people , assessors who quite frankly are below intelligence who hide behind titles such as a nurse , paramedic, firefighter & the list goes on , they are not regulated and have a free reign of absolute torture to some of the most vulnerable in our society, you get people to jump through hoops , if you don’t say this you won’t get that ! Please ! Just stop , grow the hell up and provide a service that’s fair and above all equal for all , I have had the misfortune of taking part in an assessment and all I can say is never again , over my dead body would I allow another assessor to sit in front of me and totally degrade me with a shower of crap questions then lie about my answers , I seriously have more respect for myself to ever go through that a second time . Keep ya money ! Hold on you wasn’t parting with it anyway was ya !

Assessor was a evil person with a candid disdain for claimants.

Never have I been in a position where I am barraged with complex medical questions usually asked by trusted doctors and nurses only to be spoken over before trying to answer. For example at one point I was asked why my most recent employment ended, without even giving me time to speak the assessor said "is it because you are lazy?"; in reality I was admitted to hospital for many long weeks of treatment, he moved onto the next question without taking a breath.

I left more vulnerable than I have felt in years. I am highly disturbed this man had access to my confidential notes and other personal information. I have not yet received any feedback from this meeting, and although I have have frequently relied upon these payment at this point I don't care about the results; I want nothing to do with it.

I write this review as a plea to anybody who personally has or knows somebody with an upcoming appointment - though in letters and phone calls Independent Assesment Services say this appointment must be attended alone please do everything in your power to arrange an advocate for this meeting, even if you think you are okay speaking to people in most situations these people will go out of their way to prevent you from answering questions in abhorrent fashion and treat you as sub-human.

Lady who handled my assessment was lovely however, a large majority of the questions were based on physical abilities despite applying due to my hearing impairment and mental health issues. I struggle with basic day-to-day communication even with my hearing aids in but was rated a 2 for communication. Some days I manage but on my bad days it is difficult to do the basics like shower or eat, because of my low mood. You cannot just snap out of a depressive episode as I had explained on the phone, if it were that easy, depression wouldn't even exist.

I caught one of them lying today (Glen) and he became very aggressive. As a cancer patient who has been waiting for over 6 months for an assessment it really is disappointing. It appears that they deliberately try to stall or delay your assessment. In addition they give information which contradicts the Department for Work and Pensions as well their own colleagues.

If this company or its workers is incentivised in anyway then that obviously just promoting corruption.
I scored zero and assessor lied even to the point saying I've not got any referral and from a 40min phone call he determined I had no cognitive or concentration issues even though got a ADHD diagnosis, suffer from anxiety and depression. Said I had a steady weight even though they never asked but have lost a lot.
Actually assessor comments really impacted my mental health causing severe other thinking depression and suicidal thoughts. I just felt they never even bothered to read my claim.

Gave me 0 points despite everything I suffer with was clearly outlined to them on the form. Will be appealing however it is strange because my father who suffers the same conditions as me (we put the same things on both of our forms) was awarded higher rate of PIP yet I was given nothing.

i suffer with O.C.D, anxiety, depression and have other illnesses, i have just been diagnosed with a very very rare disease which all the specialist say my O.C.D, anxiety and depression over the years has certainly contributed (still is contributing towards it, making it worse). So how much more proof dose the PIP assessor need, she failed my assessment taking nothing i said into account and also told lies about me, she also said i show no signs of mental health even though i took the DWP to court in 2011 over my mental health and won the case. I won the court case and claim ESA because of my mental health so how can i fail my PIP assessment on the grounds: i showed no signs of mental health

These are lowest scum bags I have ever seen, I have worked my whole life paying Taxes and NI and never burdened the NHS services.
The time I need help they think they refuse to help. Unbelievable- I have been ill over a year unable to do things like before pre COVID. These thick A Holes are ignorant and don’t care. They don’t listen and they make fake reports and when you challenge it another A Holes covers the first one. Karma will be returned,and then I hope they get the just fruits.
I am just glad I don’t need the money, I feel for the ppl who really do. Shame on them and the Government who employ them.

I wanted to write this review to say it’s not all bad, I guess you don’t hear about the successful ones.
I had a review on the 20th of January.
Sarah who did my assessment was kind respectful and caring and listened to me.
After reading some awful stories about capita assessors I was very nervous and cynical but Sarah proved that it’s not all bad. Thank you Sarah.

I applied in 2020 to be refused, despite being ill for a year which considerly affected my daily living and ability to leave my home. Applied again in May 2021 and still waiting after being refused a second time, despite now having a diagnosis of a life long illness and suffering from chronic pain. Both assessments undertaken by telephone with assessor whom acknowledged nothing I'd said. Full of inconsistencies and grasping at straw comments. The process for this benefit is either flawed, they employ incompetent individuals, have an inadequate training program or all of these points. Anyone being refused should appeal with help from CAB.

I had a pips telephone interview on Nov 24th 2021 based on the results of the interview I received a Zero/0 Score and had my pips stopped from that day.
Completely different from the face to face interview I had previously, I was awarded pips and pips extra and had 6 months backpaid.
How anybody who isn't a trained mental health specialist can pass judgement based on a telephone interview where the person doing the interview is working from home with no access to patient medical records is beyond me and I consider the entire process grossly unfair.
And unsurprising that .Gov would use the current covid crisis as an excuse not to do the job properly.
I would suggest anybody who has had a similar experience to contact the local law centre for help and local mp to make them aware of what the DWP are doing as I have done.
It looks like "Atos""Capita" "independent assessment services" and yes they are same company just changed names to avoid any problems.
I found this out after reading an excerpt from the Belfast telegraph dated Nov 2021 about how Stormont received so many complaints the Northen Ireland DWP had to issue an apology and redo 2000 plus claims and guess who was the call centre they've been using ? It's Capita how unsurprising

Capita need to be closed down, had my assessment done 0 on all of it!!! Nothing at all about MH... I can appreciate to some degree a paramedic may know somewhat of MH but to have no warning other than on the day, can someone else listen in talk about putting me on the spot when i said, i find it hard talking to people. Maybe in advance ask first!!! Very upsetting and also not professional at all! And also i maybe alot of things but a lier i am not. How can you say such BS!!! Doing a MR witch im not holding out any hope for. Also don't say i can send evidence in an hour clearly don't even use it. Its just delayed more time to mess everyone around. Something honestly needs to be done regarding poor service and people not having a fair pip claim. Its funny we can have dangerous dogs, put down, and send monkeys to the moon. Yet theses cow boys get a big fat profit off every claim that fails. DWP shame on all of you.

Despite the whole PIP application process taking a very long time from beginning to end, the telephone assessment was the least stressful part of it.

The nurse Gill who called was punctual, very pleasant and discussed my situation in a clear and constructive way.

She obviously listened to what I said and her report reflected this and she gave an accurate picture of my difficulties.

Overall I was very happy with the assessment process and the speed with which the DWP processed the report and made its decision was very fast.

I was very happy with the outcome.

After being refused pip after my first assessment whee all the answers I gave were completely different to the ones I gave I put in a mandatory reconsideration I got a call a few days ago today I was being reassessed I awnserd all the questions exactly the same as my my first assessment and again all the answers I gave have been changed first time was with a nurse no training in heart disease. Depression. Strokes ect. The last one was worse when I asked what medical training he had he paused and said he didn't have to give me a answer he didn't have a clue about any of my conditions. And guess what I have now received my reconsideration and all answers I gave have been changed and they are identical to the first assessment these people need investigating the are just putting there own assessments and not the true ones. I have now gone to a industrial tribunal. I hope these people who blantlenty lie about the truth hold ther heads in shame.

Assessor on my first assessment transition from DLA to pip. She didn't phone me on my landline as requested ,discarded and overrided my doctor ,said I didn't have a psychiatric specialist , is a physiotherapist who thinks she is an expert on mental health did not accept all the aids I used ,where do they get these people from .

The paramedic,pip assessor, rang me at 13:00 which was 70 minutes before the telephone assessment appointment. Saying she han hour free and was I ready to start the assessment. I said I wasn't prepared, she replied " what is it you need to prepare?'. I explained my sister was coming to my house at 14:00. The assessment appointment was 14:10. I am autistic, have physical and mental illness, the call threw me into a state of anxiety. By the time my sister arrived I had closed my curtains and hid behind the sofa. I thought the assessor was sat in her car in my street. The assessment was rushed, I wasn't able to fully answer questions, when I forgot what I was saying, the assessor lied about where I was in my reply, instead stating the question she had asked. The 0 points I received just reinforced my belief she had lied about my answers. The PA4 proved that. I'm in the process of MR with help from CAB. Also complained about the assessor.

I have recently received the feedback from a mandatory reconsideration that I had requested. The civil servant reviewing my case insinuated that I was dishonest, given that my telephone assessor was, "a highly trained medical professional", who was very obviously more reliable and qualified than myself. The 'professional' in question distorted the truth. I am a qualified RMN/ RSCN who had to give up work due to physical disabilities and mental health problems. My assessor was a paramedic based a few hundred miles from where I live, so can hardly have an idea about access to health services or socio/economic problems in an inner city area. When I requested a copy of the report from the DWP (not as straight forward as they make out: one has to make the request via a supervisor/ manager) there was a number of different names for the assessor (three different names!). It doesn't quite match the number of lies told. I have worked my entire life, yet sold down the river by a piece of crud that sold out.
