Nei forum molti si lamentano ma nulla cambia, il numero verde e l'assistenza ci consigliano di applicare sulla cute degli spray nasali al cortisone, ma mi sembra un palliativo, tra l'altro inefficiente e bizzarro.

Horrible customer service

So when my daughter signed up to omnipod 5 we were told that any issues with equipment would be dealt with within 24 hours. Friday 27th I rang up to tell them her equipment wasn’t charging and the battery was out. Which the guy said he will order a replacement but it wouldn’t arrive until Tuesday 31st. By Thursday the 2nd I rang for an update as it hadn’t arrived and I couldn’t see anywhere to track it in the app to which the lady said there was issues with deliveries. She would make sure it arrived with us by today Saturday 4th. Then all of a sudden I got emails and it was showing on the app as ordered that day. So Friday when we rang the guy didn’t even order it. When I track the order it now says it’ll be delivered Tuesday 7th so that’s 11days without the equipment that keeps her alive. I will be discussing with her medical staff to move to another company as this company lie and don’t keep their promises. Really unprofessional when dealing with life saving equipment

Unit did not work I have been on the phone 5 times with customer service they answer the phone but do not help they said they will call me back in 3 hours I waited 8 hours no call it's 2 days later and no help yet

Permanentes Nachhaken erforderlich


Rezepte gehen verloren, werden verzögert oder gar nicht bearbeitet. Nur mit telefonischer (eMails werden meist nicht beantwortet), und hartnäckiger Nachfrage führen zum Ergebnis. Aber man muss dann schon Glück haben einen halbwegs kompetenten Call-Center-Agenten zu bekommen. Freundlich sind die Mitarbeiter, aber insgesamt ist das schon sehr, sehr mühsam geworden mit Insulet.

I been on omnipod 5 for almost a year

I been on omnipod 5 for almost a year. Had some issues along the way but minimal. They just had a recall on some pods and mine were affected. Trying to get them to replace them is a awful experience. They say they would arrive next day, they didn't. Called again, now they have no tracking number yet. I'm now without any way to inject insulin. Don't have syringes and my primary is off on Fridays. All weekend I would have to be without. So now I'm for Ed to use pods that have issues with them. Will be seeking legal advice, calling FDA and whoever needs reporting to.

Leider überwiegen die negativen Aspekte wie z.b.
selten funktioniert ein Pod 3 Tage zuverlässig, folglich ständige Reklamationen beim kundendienst die fast eine halbe Stunde in Anspruch nehmen.
Dadurch sehr schnell hohe Blutzuckerwerte die dann mit dem neuen Pod erst Stunden später auf ein einigermaßen gutes Level gebracht werden können. Aber es spielt immer die Angst im Hintergrund ob dieser Pot dann auch gut funktioniert.
Sehr oft auch über Nacht Ausfälle von Pods dadurch 1 Uhr 2 Uhr nachts sehr hoher blutzuckerwert mit anstehendem podwechsel. Frühstück und manch ein Termin fällt dadurch Vormittag aus.

Leider haben die Pods anscheinend ein Problem mit der vorprogrammierten basalrate da die ein jeder Pod unterschiedlich abgibt.
Auch ist es mir schon passiert nachdem ich für zwei Stunden die Insulin Zufuhr unterbrochen hatte wegen rätselhaften Blutzuckerwert und trotz hoher zusätzlicher kohlenhydrataufnahme der blutzucker weiter gefallen ist. Ich habe den Pod dann aus Sicherheitsgründen entfernt.

Positiv ist zu berichten dass in den neun Monaten auch einige Pods sehr gut funktioniert hatten.

Eine und interessante Unterstützung vom kundendienst bekam ich bei einer Reklamation wegen hohem blutzuckerwert durch Pod.
Ich wurde gefragt ob der Pod gut auf der Haut gehalten hat.... Ich sagte bei mir halten die Pods und sensoren sehr gut und sehr fest ich habe eher ein Problem sie von der Haut wieder abzubekommen. Darauf sagte mir der Mitarbeiter von omnipod ich solle doch zusätzliches Pflaster über den Pod kleben damit er besser hält.
Was sagt mir das...... Es wurde mir gar nicht zugehört.
Schade ich hatte eigentlich schon große Hoffnung in den omnipod 5 gesteckt.

Im forced to see their ads at least 20 times a day if I want to play that app.

Time to bring the truth on this, bear in mind as I write this review at 4am. I've used omnipod since their very beginning, when it works its fine. The item has a place in health care, not advanced health care but average healthcare. This is the problem with a business model that is stuck in "we made a thing mode". They are not a diabetics best friend, What have they done to advance health care as a giant in the last 20yrs? Insulet Corporation is like any other corpo hoping to survive while clinging to their "Precious" and does this help future you and me? Does this advance healthcare to the next level relative to the world moving so fast with tech, for diabetics and others who use this delivery patch on this planet? This is my perspective in a multipolar world Insulet Corporation brings nothing new to market, fights off challengers with patents litigation defense, all so they can milk you and I like a cow. Insulet corporation has chosen to live in the past just like they will eventually be, Omnipod is a stagnant swamp, they are the 1-trick pony of life. Insulet are not true creators like us, true creators and inovators move fast create daily as desired easily. Insulet Corporation is the rock in the river, it creates interest as we flow by but I am not a rock I am human and for all those who suffer with these diseases that we or our loved ones have remember this "we are the river" and our perspective is greater than any rock or Everest. I encourage challenge to any giants like this because only then can "steel sharpen steel", without you the challenger Omnipod and Insulet are suffered to stagnate, obeying investor wants over the lives they effect, living in fear of a failure by avoiding creative advancements since they ultimately no longer carry the "spark" that makes life memorable or beautiful.

No follow ups for months

My endocrinologist sent in a referral in early November and told me I would hear from Omnipod in 1 week. I'm still waiting with zero follow up even after my endocrinologist personally sent a follow up. This level of service is unacceptable.

Tolle Pumpe, aber keine Smartphone-App ist wirklich ein no-go!

Der Omnipod 5 hat Vorzüge, aber auch deutliche Nachteile.
Super ist, dass die Pumpe schlauchlos ist und mir dem Sensor kommuniziert.
Mega mühsam ist die nicht existierende Smartphone App. Es kann doch nicht sein, dass man von diesem zweiten Steuergerät abhängig sein muss. Nervig ist auch das Wechseln alle drei Tage und dass es keinen onlineShop gibt. Mails werden tw nicht bearbeitet.
Sobald es eine andere schlauchlose Pumpe mit Smartphone app gibt, werde ich wechseln.

Omnipod has enabled me to control my diabetes for the first time in 15 years to a point where diabetes has little to no impact on my day to day life. My only complaint is that it is not Subsidised. Prior to using omnpod i had a quadruple bypass & Ckd, potential reduction in medical costs should make this viable!

Have been on omnipod for 3 month now found it very frustrating first 6 week blood sugars have now settled down and for me find it great also reduced my hblac within range something I have never been able to do on injections after 15 years customer services are good as well all in all very happy

It coustomer service bad the worst coustomer service ( omni pod connection with dexcom 7 really bad plus it stick not well on skin and come out again again My daughter admitted hospital because insulin not going in the body and pod failure we already wasted 2 boxes plus need to give hospital bill I contacted the Omni pod team they putting me on hold again again and listen my story not helping) so worst team of Omni pod and Omni pod should change pod style and sticky glue part like dexcom G7

Gute Hardware, aber gravierende Software- und Alarmprobleme

Grundsätzlich bin ich mit dem Omnipod-System zufrieden, allerdings gibt es mehrere schwerwiegende Einschränkungen, die meinen Alltag als Diabetiker unnötig belasten und mich zu dieser negativen Bewertung zwingen.

Das fest vorgegebene 3-Tage-Wechsellimit ist aus medizinischer Sicht nicht nachvollziehbar. Mehrere behandelnde Ärzte haben mir bestätigt, dass Insulin im Pod problemlos 3 bis 5 Tage stabil bleibt. Dennoch wird man nach exakt drei Tagen zum Wechsel gezwungen – selbst dann, wenn sich noch eine erhebliche Menge Insulin im Pod befindet. Das ist ineffizient, teuer und aus meiner Sicht reine Software-Restriktion ohne medizinischen Mehrwert.

Ein weiteres großes Problem ist das Alarm- und Benachrichtigungssystem. Bei Unterzuckerungen gibt es keine Möglichkeit, dem Gerät mitzuteilen, dass bereits Kohlenhydrate aufgenommen wurden. Stattdessen ertönt in kurzen Abständen (alle paar Minuten) ein penetranter Alarm, bis sich der Blutzucker wieder stabilisiert hat. Das kann – trotz korrekter Behandlung – durchaus länger dauern. Die permanenten Signaltöne sind extrem störend, insbesondere im privaten Umfeld und nachts.

Besonders kritisch wird es, wenn der Pod als „zu lange getragen“ erkannt wird: In diesem Fall gibt das Gerät einen durchgehenden, sehr lauten Warnton von sich. Befindet man sich gerade bei der Arbeit oder in der Öffentlichkeit, ist das äußerst unangenehm. Hat man den Empfänger (Controller) nicht dabei, gibt es keine Möglichkeit, den Alarm abzuschalten – außer den Pod physisch zu zerstören. Das ist schlicht nicht akzeptabel.

Zusammengefasst:
Die Hardware und das Grundkonzept sind gut, aber die Software-Logik, Alarmsteuerung und fehlenden Nutzeroptionen führen zu unnötigem Stress und Einschränkungen im Alltag. Hier besteht dringend Verbesserungsbedarf.

Aus diesen Gründen vergebe ich leider nur 2 Sterne.

Overrated

I think the omnipod 5 is very overrated and needs a lot of work on making it better for diabetics to use as I have been on it for over a year and I've had nothing but trouble with it. I have hypos all the time especially during the night, the pods are always leaking or the adhesive part keeps peeling off, my blood is always sky high or very low even though I put the correct dosage in and the sensor for the libre 2 plus is always either searching for sensor or temporary unavailable. I think omnipod 5 needs a massive update and review on the whole, this is ment to be making diabetics life's easier to get on with but I feel like it's doing anything but, I am very paranoid with the omnipod 5 as I am always looking at the remote every few minutes as I'm always worried about my sugar dropping or going too high.

I love the Omnipod itself— it really has changed my life. When it’s good? It’s amazing, truly. But when issues arise… it’s so hard to access any help from the Omnipod themselves. It’s shocking how much they do not care about you or your wellbeing.

I’ve had issues with my pump connecting with my Libre 2+ plus but recently I had it CONSISTENTLY back to back where I didn’t have any connection for over 15 hours and no matter how many times I changed the pump and sensor, nothing would work. It got to the point I’d used all my Libre sensors and had to pay for an emergency one via an online pharmacy. My bloods were so high the entire time and it took days for me to recover and Omnipod were absolutely useless.

I reported the issue, stating in my initial inquiry, that before they ask “yes my pump and sensor are next to each other they always are”. I wear them both directly on the back of my arm side by side (whenever I try to put my pump on my thigh to give my arm a break, neither the pump nor the sensor like it, they’re just too far away). But the message I received back from the omnipod team was to:

“Turn it on and off again” sorry turn WHAT off? You actually cannot turn the pump device off that’s the entire point, to safeguard. (And trust me I tried once when my pump was blaring in the middle of my best friend’s mum’s funeral, much to my mortification).

“Make sure the pump and sensor are next to each other” as if I didn’t already explain that they are and always have been. So clearly they didn’t read my initial query or just didn’t care.

And my FAVOURITE ONE: “avoid issues like swimming…”

I work 9-5 at a desk job… do you really think I’ve been swimming for the past 8+ hours when I reported the communication issue? Believe it or not, I’m not a full-time diabetic mermaid.

I was also told not to lie down on it— again, as if I’ve spent my working day asleep. And even if I had been lying down for that many hours… am I supposed to hang upside down from the ceiling like a bat to ensure that I don’t lie down on my pump and sensor? Take my arms off, put them to one side and reattach them in the morning?

Employing idiots who don’t have any medical background to give you medical advice should actually be illegal. It’s laughable but also, if I don’t laugh, I’d cry with frustration.

Now, this incident from a few weeks back is catching up to me because I won’t have enough pumps left before more are dispatched and I inquired about being sent replacements or having the batch dispatch moved forward but I’ve been told they can’t move the dispatch date and when I’ve tried to request replacements, you’d think I was being questioned by MI6. The amount of info being asked is insane and I don’t have half of it!

I just emailed back telling Omnipod they shouldn’t bother having a customer care team if they’re not actually going to help anyone. I felt really vindicated coming to Trust Pilot to see such a low overall rating and everyone with similar issues as me. Not that I’m happy we’re all being mugged off… but nice to know I’m not alone in my frustration.

And the crux of this is… we’re not complaining about a retailer being rude to us or not dispensing our refunds fast enough. This is a life threatening medical condition that is being treated like a general customer care desk you’d find on the high street. If we don’t get the medical care we need… we die :)

I gave bad feedback on a survey I was sent when I reported the pump and sensor communication issue, and the amount of calls I got from Omnipod was crazy 🤣 they cared more about talking to me after giving them bad feedback than they did when I wasn’t able to give myself INSULIN, that I need to stay ALIVE.

I’m just at my wits end with Omnipod really. I love my pump but the organisation and the way they treat customers needs a whole new makeover, Nick Knowles DIY SOS style because it’s not fair we have to beg for our medical needs to be attended to. I shouldn’t have to beg to have my pumps be delivered early because I have none left.

It’s shameful.
