Its been about two weeks since I ordered my pod point and haven't heard anything back from them, I have chased and nothing. I am thinking of cancelling very soon and asking for a refund
Absolutely disgraceful service and
Absolutely disgraceful service and, without question, the worst customer service experience I have ever had.
The biggest issue was the manager, Dawid, whose conduct was completely unprofessional from start to finish. His communication was poor, he failed to provide clear information, and he showed a complete lack of accountability. For someone in a managerial position, his attitude and handling of the situation were unacceptable. Based on my experience, I seriously question whether he is suitable for a customer-facing management role.
The level of incompetence, lack of responsiveness, and disregard for customer concerns caused unnecessary stress, frustration, and delays. What should have been a straightforward process became unnecessarily difficult because of the poor service provided.
I have already submitted a formal complaint and received a response, but I am not satisfied with the way this matter has been handled. I intend to escalate the complaint further with Point One and pursue the matter until it is properly addressed.
I would strongly advise anyone considering using this service to think twice. If your case is handled by David, I would recommend exercising extreme caution. This has been an appalling experience and one that I would not wish on anyone.
Avoid using pod point
Avoid using pod point, our unit stopped working after 3.5 years. They have told us it is the motherboard from their remote diagnostics and sent us a payment link to pay for a repair. £400 and it’s not the motherboard, customer service is an overseas call centre and they are pleasant but a gets really poor when they hand it over to the uk tech team. The uk tech team sending emails are either kids or just rude. We now have no charger for two EVs and can’t even get a quote out of them that makes sense.

Arrived at a charge point and tried to find charger on app but the name wasn’t listed. The charger next to it didn’t even have a name showing on it. !! Thank you Pod Point once again you failed to charge my car. This is not the first time we have had issues Swanage Beach car park another disaster and no charge. Zero stars from me.

I paid in full for my order and 4 weeks passed and no communication about my install.
I gave an ultimatum if I don’t hear from them by the end of the week I would be cancelling. To then receive an email saying thanks for letting them know I’d like to cancel!
This company is by far the worst customer service I have ever received.
2 months before required
2 months before required, I had an EV charger installed by PodPoint, when it came time to charge my EV, the charger had not been commissioned correctly. This left me unable to charge my car, on a Sunday.
I contacted PodPoint, only for them to provide incorrect information and apologise. No offer of recompense for a fully paid up service. Very very poor response from PodPoint
Too many broken promises and timescales
Numerous promises from both Sales and support that are not met. One after another, with no updates still despite promises.
Promised installs of 1-2 weeks by sales.
Amended to 2-3 weeks by support.
Promised response within 5 working days of sending survey info. 12 days later, I'm still waiting.
Wishing I had gone elsewhere if this is what their service is like at the start.

Awful company as everyone else is would leave zero stars if possible, ordered in March wanting to install in July after being told engineer had tried to contact me,absolutely rubbish no body contact me either from company or engineers. I have taken 2 days off from work already waiting in for them no apology just engineer tried to contact you,then to have installation pushed back another month, as you can imagine iv cancelling. Ridiculous firm who are not really interested in there customers what so ever

If I could give zero stars I would. The communication from the outset was abysmal. Promises to arrange installation within five days, a month and several phone calls later, I threatened to cancel and they gave me an install date. A four hour window was indicated of 8am to 12pm, yet by 12.15pm no-one had arrived. I phoned to be told oh yes your slot has been changed to 1pm to 4pm, so I took off a morning for nothing! and no communication from them to tell me! When the engineer (who was a complete gentleman) arrived he said he couldn't do the installation today as it was a bigger job than was envisaged. I offered to compromise on the location of the charger on the basis that the cable be installed in conduit along the front of my property, I was even going to the local electrical supplier to obtain and pay for it myself. He was happy to do it but had to spend over an hour on the phone to his boss and POD Point who wouldn't let him do it, after two hours I told him to pack up and leave. This is a classic example of a big national business who have no concept of customer care. I am now having the job done by a local electrical contractor exactly how I want it done on my home. I absolutely would not recommend this dreadful company.
Terrible experience
Terrible experience. Installation 'engineer' came to the house, damaged the electricity box so it can no longer be accessed, the charger doesn't work, and the support is non-existant.
100% reliable app
100% reliable app. Going to be the only one I use, not had one issue. Don[t understand all the negative reviews. The only downside I can think of is that it can be a bit slow to search and locate the charger.
The most awful customer service ever
The most awful customer service ever. Pod point stopped charging, rang customer service! Non uk based and awful. Wanted pictures to see the installation which they did and they just don’t seem to get then and round and around in circles we go. I just want a person to fix the blooming thing, which they will not do without the pictures which they never seem to receive. Absolutely awful!
The worst customer service in the World
Paid Podpoint my money in December and now in May I am still waiting to have my charger installed. I'm not sure there is a more inept company and workforce around and if there is I hope I never have to deal with them. Our project manager appears not to care or maybe he doesn't exist as you never actually hear from him. I would leave minus stars if I could.

I’d I could lower I would. Absolute joke of a company, BUY FROM ANYWHERE BUT HERE!!, the installers have destroyed my room and flooring after drilling through a water pipe and I have been called a liar saying the did not damage the floor. Currently of month five of battling with them. You can’t speak to the complaint department direct as they hide behind emails and “ third party”, installers!! DO NOT USE!!

Would give them a zero if it were possible. They insist on two factor authentication via text, however the text messages don't get sent. Their customer services then take you through a script of uninstalling the app, re-installing it, checking the number etc which is an utter waste of time as funnily enough I know my own phone number really well, and actually work in IT including mobile technology so know full well that there is no text filtering set up on my phone and absolutely nothing at my end which could stop the messages getting through!
Two seconds on this site showed me someone else getting exactly the same problem as me. If they are getting lots of people with the same problem, which seems very likely then their customer services ought to be aware of this unless their service desk software is absolute rubbish.
There is one charger at the site I went to, which in theory should accept contactless payments (i.e. without the app) however the buttons on this don't seem to work so you can't select the type of charge you want in order to initiate payment, and in fact the charger name does not appear on the pod point network despite it being switched on and having pod point branding and a sign listing it as a pod point charger.
This service is an absolute joke. All connected to Tesco too, which I should think is rather a concern for them as they DO actually have decent customer services. I would not think they would want to be associated with such a service with so low a rating.

Tried to use a public charger. Installed the app but needed a two factor authentication text message which never arrived. Absolutely useless.

I wish I could give Zero Stars!! The worst customer service of any company I have had to deal with.
Their sales people lie and say your charger will be fitted in 1-2 weeks. Once you pay this goes over 3 weeks. Bythe time you get a date it is closer to 6 weeks. I asked for my money back after 7 days, still waiting for it over 3 weeks later

Had a pod point installed 4 days ago , hasn’t worked properly since being installed , for the last two days no power to it !! Called on numerous occasions to customer services , technical help ask for photos - even tho installation was 4 days ago!! Photos sent they have arranged for an engineer to come out IN 25 DAYS!!!so not been able to use the charger once and having to now pay for public chargers , absolute farce of a company AVOID!!

Typical lazy WFH style attitude where operators go completely silent except for making 'ummmmmm' sounds and will put you on mute/hold without even telling you why or what they will do to resolve
Very unprofessional & 'lax' attitude from people with zero urgency who are clearly given too much comfort in their roles
Called up twice for a date for my parents charger to be fitted after the operator fobbed them off the first time saying "we'll check and let you know" When will we know? Who are you checking with? Where is my email of confirmation? It did not exist
Second time the operator told me "I can see you've called twice so just hold tight and we'll be in touch" this is not acceptable when I or any customer has called asking for a solution! A 10 year old could've handled that better
The company's employees must listen to its callers before it speaks and be mindful that we have lives & schedules to arrange around installations such as night shift & office work on top of running a business from home
I subcontracted to Pod-Point years ago as a fitter when they were the market leader however it seems the companies lack of ability to train staff in basic customer service has lead to a barrage of 1* reviews like the one I am writing now
I understand that to most who are working there it is simply a 'job' but it seems that the days of taking pride in your work and leaving things better than you found them are fizzling out
This company will end up as the Lehman brothers of the EVCP market if they are not careful.
It seems a major overhaul is needed in its operations and customer service
It's no wonder the company has lost many of major contracts & key people such as the founder and original CEO who brought the soul to the company that now is visibly missing
