Four orders. Four Mistakes.

Order 1: Half of the order was missing. Given a coupon code and no chance of refund for missing items.
Order 2: Paid with coupon, and extra money. Entire order cancelled. Given a coupon.
Order 3: Paid with coupon, and even more money. Order cancelled. Given a coupon. After inquiring, was refused to be compensated in actual money, as it wasn't in their policy to give refunds because they are food items (despite it not shipping).
Order 4: Order had all packaging discarded, and contents dumped into a shipping box. Some of the order was still missing.
This company will discover new and exciting ways to screw you over, and will threaten to take you to collections if you dare fight back.

NEVER ORDER FROM HERE

For starters terrible customer service. I waited almost a full month for “local delivery” I emailed them twice about at least receiving a tracking number and any information about my order as I assumed local delivery would be 2 week’s maximum for the order to be fulfilled. Never got a response..then suddenly after weeks of waiting for a response, I receive an email for a gift card which honestly is pretty useless as I will never be ordering from them again. I emailed them back asking why am I receiving a gift card and still have yet to receive any information about my pending order. I mentioned that at this point cancelling the order is the most reasonable solution as it was not shipped and waiting weeks for a response is unacceptable. I was well aware of the no refund/final sale policy but I did not receive any packages, no updates from customer service , no tracking information and waited a month for my order to be shipped. Funny enough the moment I mention a refund I instantly get an email back saying that the order was shipped 08/26/23 and I received it 2 days by a local deliver (FlashBox delivery) So it took 1 month to package my order…and was missing a product as apparently it was “damaged” and that was what the gift card was for. The website itself is not a scam per say but be warned definitely not worth the wait. If I read these reviews prior to I wouldn’t have given this terrible company my money and would’ve gotten it else where. Please don’t waste your time and money. The package itself when it arrived was disgusting. It was in a used amazon box and terribly taped and at the bottom on the box was the corner part of an opened chip bag (all items were sealed) I can only imagine the workplace itself if random garbage is getting in the packages.

Extremely Slow Fulfillment

Wish I read these reviews prior to my order. 23 days and counting and still in fulfillment. There should be no reason any in stock items should take this long, especially for a company who is merely a re-seller/wholesaler. I don’t like writing these reviews especially for small businesses but there definitely needs to be some fundamental changes in their operations.

Don't care about there customer

Waited for weeks to get my order witch I really don't mind but when I received my package more then half of what I ordered was missing. In the email I got when it was shipped out shows the entire order was placed in one box. I emailed the company with the issue and they haven't responded yet. Worst part is when I go back on the site it still shows the missing items as available and not out if stock.

Slow Delivery Times

UPDATE: I did receive my order and it was packed well. The seller responded to most of my emails. Only issue is delivery time of almost a month for local delivery.

I ordered some items from this company and selected local delivery which one would expect wouldn’t take long. It’s been 3 weeks now. I emailed them and was told they had it in stock and it would ship ASAP. Their response has been good just delivery time is not acceptable. I have requested a cancellation and refund and will update this review once I hear from them.

Complete scam

My order took a month to be delivered. Turns out everything I ordered was replaced with something else without them even asking if I wanted something else or a refund .. On top of that there is a missing item in my order. Do yourself a favor and order somewhere else. Complete scam

I ordered an item from Rare Candy…

I ordered an item from Rare Candy Canada that is available in the US but not Canada (Stacey's Cinnamon & Sugar Pita Chips) and they sent me Stacey's Garlic & Parmesan Pita Chip. These are widely available in Canada and I'm allergic to dairy so I can't eat them. I asked for a refund since I was given the wrong product and this is how they responded:

No Real Refunds

Not putting my full name because I see this company likes to out your personal information online.... Placed a decent sized order - half was missing with no explanation beforehand of what would or wouldn't be coming. They say they give refunds but they only give refunds in the form of a gift card to their store. In order to get full value for my purchase I will have to pay for shipping again when using the gift card, and gambling that the items I order will even be available. The way the items were packed was also hilarious.

Worst company I have ever dealt with

Please save yourself a headache and buy somewhere else. The reviews say it all; if you actually receive your order, items will be missing and what is shipped is damaged, expired or will expire within the month. On their website it says the items will ship within 5 business days, and mine took a full month just to ship. Half my order was missing, some items were crushed, one box of treats expired at the end of the month, and the Oreo Handi-Snacks I ordered had the expiry dates scraped off and covered with a label. You could see that they had expired two months earlier from the plastic packaging inside the box. Dealing with Chiara was a waste of time; she is the angriest and aggressive customer service "manager" you will ever encounter, I assure you. I requested a refund and showed her pictures of the damaged/expired goods. She played dumb that she didn't know the Oreos had expired and gave me a store credit for the Oreos. I told her I wanted my order refunded entirely and asked where I could return it to. She told me I agreed to the conditions (which I did not see anything about accepting damaged and expired product). I had to file a dispute with my bank only to have her harass me by text messages and e-mail that I "stole" from them and she is going to send a debt collector. Please take my advice and purchase elsewhere!

EDIT after Rare Candy Canada responded:
As you can see, you don't want anything to do with this company! Posting confidential information (address, phone number) and continually texting and e-mailing me to threaten debt collectors and legal action even though they LOST the dispute with the bank is harassment, and now a police file has now been opened. Please beware!!

EDIT: Rare Candy Canada just removed my address and phone number.

EDIT: an update on the defintion of harrasment. Candance in case you didnt know , harrasment is a criminal offence, and its when someone threatens you for your life.

You have a unpaid bill, you did not pay the invoice, therefore email reminders, and text messages are not harassments(they are email reminders for communications) . Please read the dictionary again and stop wasting peoples time please.

We also told you, no further communication is needed and do not reply , and you keep replying to us and contacting our business.

Once the unpaid invoice is paid the emails, will stop. Or the Debt Collection Agency invoice.

Its within our legal right. we DO NOT TOLERATE THEFT FROM OUR COMPANY.

horrible experiance dont buy from rarecandycanada

placed an order June 8th didn't receive it till July 6th. well over the delivery time. horrible communication. they took out one of my items that was a 12 pack of Oreos and they didn't even inform me just sent it out with the missing items. they provided a gift card to the store and the problem with the gift card is that yeah you get some money back, but you're stuck paying shipping again which means you can't order the same amount with the gift card your stuck paying shipping twice leaving you with less money to spend then you originally did total scam with the gift card bs. the 24 pack of drinks I got expire in a month and only came with 23 bottles! and my 12 pack of cherry blasters only came with 8 and I got no refund for that either! all of my products are covers in dirt and messy sticky stuff with screws floating in the box! all in all I would not buy from them! horrible experience. your package is going to come very late, most of the product's won't show up at all and they will send you a gift card instead of your money back. highway robbery with these guys!

You did not even give us a chance to reply to your email, and went online to bash us immediately. We didnt reply within 1 hour, after 5 PM , and you went online to write this incredible toxic negative review.

First of all, we did email you.

2nd of all, maybe someone stole 1 bottle, We have insurance for this reason. Bashing us online doesn't help your situation .

We sent you a refund for the missing items, And i have no idea how screws got into there.

We sell Exotics, not dollar store items, so if you are unhappy with the prices you can shop at walmart or amazon.

We are getting really tired of negative comments like this, when we dont even get 1 business day to reply.

Just think , why would we send you only 23 bottles in a case, and something all sticky. We would not ever do that. Our incentive is to make our customers happy, but we cant please everyone unfortunately, some peoples expectations are from another planet

All around bad, and borderline criminal

1/2 our order was missing. Chips where used as packaging materials and the rest was expired or about to expire. Worst part is on one type or product they scratched off the best before date and then covered it with a blank label (both on the outer box and inside box.
Do not order from them

Absolute garbage human beings

Absolute garbage human beings. 1 month later and I got delivered some garbage I didn't order and they refuse to refund me, plus they are some of the rudest, nastiest garbage humans on the planet. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Highly recommend contacting enforcement, they already have a file open on these pieces of flith.

Why did I accept the shipment that you told me over the phone was never coming? Because EVERYTHING has been recorded. Your store credit isn't a refund. You aren't getting away with this scam you 🤡

If you've done nothing wrong the bank will find in your favor. What are you so worried about?

Also proof? You refuse to refund me for the missing product. I can also get a tracking number for you with the wrong product, pretty simple to do. That's what you did right? After I told you I was filing a charge back.

That's not how that works and the credit company said that's major red flag.

EDIT 4: loooool. they're trying to charge me another 1300 dollars to get a 200 dollar refund after I contacted visa and the police. Hilarious person who thinks she's smarter then everyone else when in reality she's a moron.

Placed an order a month ago

Placed an order a month ago, only to get an invoice just recently to pay more for my order. Had to cancel it because of the extra charges and they won't refund my money.

EDIT/UPDATE: Still waiting on that refund. Owner has ZERO integrity to their name and business. Very childish in my opinion, and clearly the opinion of pretty much every person on here. I can see why they are rated as poorly as they are. One of the worst customer service teams/individuals

Very mad client

I got my order after like a month and I’m in Canada. I bought the worldwide candy mystery box and they were things I could’ve bought myself in Canada or in fckg Usa. Two of my things were past the expiration date like what the hell that’s disgusting!!! Btw all I got was easter candy and chips

Great experience from start to finish

We had a great experience with our order from start to finish. We placed an order and received the item in 9 days, we were expecting it to take a lot longer as we live in BC. I had to reach out to customer service as I had a question about our order and almost immediate received a response. We got exactly what we ordered and there was even a couple of free items in the box for us to try. Will definitely be ordering again.

Product not received- then called an “idiot” by Rare Candy customer service

Ordered $150 product on April 17. Shipper didn’t deliver product and returned it to Rare Candy a month later (this is all visible on the tracking page). Rare Candy never contacted me about receiving it (despite tracking page showing they did) nor was any refund given. When I contacted them to enquire they said for me to make insurance claim. When I said I would just do a chargeback via my credit card their customer service email reply simply said “You’re an idiot”

Edit: my shipping address was never entered wrong - I receive mail there regularly - it’s just that the vendor chooses a shipper that won’t deliver to a PO Box despite the vendor’s website saying they will. I only changed my address AFTER being contacted by thr shipper saying they wouldn’t deliver to the address the vendor accepted. It’s dishonest for them to distort these facts in their reply.

And I asked for a remedy to a situation they caused and their reply was for me to do the legwork. Only then did I say I would proceed with chargeback.

Replying with “you’re an idiot” just shows you who you’re dealing with here people. The other reviews in here seem to echo mine. Buyer beware.

Edit #2: I contacted the shipper and their reply was:

“If the vendor did not receive the item back they need to contact us to open a trace and if the parcel is found not traceable they can then file a claim.

We will not reimburse you they need to file a claim through us and they need to reimburse you.”

Placed my order on May 14th

Placed my order on May 14th, received it June 16th even though we’re in the same province. The website is poorly constructed and states shipping could happen in two days or maybe up to four weeks! My order arrived in a used Amazon box (recycling is great, but this looks extremely unprofessional). Only form of contact they replied to was on Instagram. They will replace the items you ordered with different ones without telling you. They will not refund or accept returns, even though what they sent was incorrect. They seem to respond very poorly to any critiques or criticism. Please spend your money on other Canadian snack websites!
