I bought an off plan property in Hughada Egypt through another British property agent.
In 2013 I visited my property which was already 3 years behind schedule. I discovered that my flat no longer existed, however I was offered another property which in my opinion was not as desirable. I wanted a reduction of property price and to cut a long story short no agreement could be made and I paid a substancial amount of money to a lawyer to fight my case in court.
Three years down the line, no progress was being made. I found myself waiting months for court cases to arrive to find I had to jump through another hoop and produce more evidence for the court (bank receipts etc)
The whole situation was very depressing to say the least. One day I decided to ask Neil Hollingworth from Rivermead Global for advice.Neil was very helpful from the onset. He contacted the developer in question and got a discussion started between us. Eventually I made an offer on the property which I felt was very fair. The developer rejected the offer. Again Neil got involved (at no point has Neil asked for any money) he pointed out the fairness of my offer and argued my case. A deal was finally made.
I can honestly say that Neil was instrumental in bringing three years of worry and torment to an end. He never charged or asked for money at any point but has probably done more for my case than any other person. If you are looking to invest in Egypt please ensure you have a capable and trustworthy person in your corner. I can vouch for Neil and say he is First Class, my only regret is I didn't find him earlier.

In an age where true customer service and care is rare to find, I am hugely impressed with Rivermead Global's total focus on the client. Having visited Hurghada a few times I decided to take early retirement and live there. I was concerned about buying abroad as there are so many stories about people losing all their hard earned cash.... I needn't have worried. I found Rivermead Global on an internet property search and they have been amazing. I visited in July and found the property of my dreams at Sheraton Plaza. I contacted Neil and I'm in the process of purchasing this property. It has been so easy and stress free... Neil recommended a lawyer, a currency transfer company and it has all gone so smoothly. He keeps me up to date and answers all my (sometimes silly) questions as soon as he can. There guys are obviously dedicated to their job, they are professional but also very friendly and approachable. My Story: I bought my Hurghada property from a different company. They sold me the contract without any further support, they were not interested in helping me link up with the developer, assist with getting my apartment furnished or help me find property management. I found Neil Hollingsworth on a property forum and he helped me contact the developer so I could switch my apartment for a larger floorplan without asking for a commission. He then helped me furnish the apartment which was a fun and hassle free process. The Rivermead Global team picked me up and the airport when I went to visit my apartment the first time and were very helpful showing me around the area and giving me tips about getting around and what to see. I have been dealing with Rivermead Global for over 3 years now and this is my only international property that I never have to worry about. The property management has been outstanding, they keep my apartment rented out and are quick to inform me if something needs my attention. The only area I would ask you to improve is to expand your business to Bulgaria and Thailand please! I need your help there too.

We have bought quite a few new apartments from the team at Rivermead Global and we are currently in Hurghada to inspect some of the almost finished units and the development of other apartments we have bought through Rivermead Global.

I think this is the first time I have ever written a review on anything. However my dealings with the team at Rivermead Global has made me take the time out to do so. I feel that it's important for others who are thinking of buying a property in Egypt to know. One word. Exceptional! Having worked for many years in a customer service orientated business I have never known a company or personnel to be so thorough in their responses. So much so that at times I thought to myself they didn't need to go into so much detail but it was all appreciated. My dealings were with both Neil and Tom and found them to be honest, answered all the questions I raised, overly transparent and all round nice guys to talk to either by email or phone. Although I had paid the deposit on a place in Tiba Resort we decided not to go ahead with the purchase for personal reasons. This would have been an opportunity for an agent to delay returning the deposit or for excuses to start coming out not to return it at all. But no, The fully refundable deposit was returned within a week which again showed the professionalism not only of Rivermead but also of the developers they work with. It is clear that they have a good working relationship with the developers and if things need to be changed or fixed they usually are. We are going out in January 2017 to see them in person and have a look around a couple of the developments with the intention of buying. Buying an off plan property can seem daunting but Tom and Neil made the whole process as stress free and easy as possible which gave me a lot of confidence in buying from them. They did a lot of work with us and didn't get paid a penny at the end of it because we withdrew from the purchase which I'm really sorry about as they deserved all the commission they were due. I can not recommend them highly enough to anyone even starting to think of buying a property in Egypt. Thanks guys and see you in Jan.

I have had a dream for many years to have my own place in Egypt. I looked at a lot of companies but my overly cautious ways prevented me taking things further and then I came across Rivermead Global.
I initially spoke with the lovely Neil who assured me that it wasn't as hard a thing to do as I imagined.
I went out in April to see Turtles Beach for my self, accompanied by Garry (what an amazing guy )who showed me around and treated me to lunch, great pizza Garry.
The apartment is a good size , much larger than others I previously looked at and it's in the most beautiful location. Look at that view!
All my worries and doubts went and I was more than ready to complete. Garry came with the necessary papers and it was all systems go.
Thanks to the amazing guys at Rivermead I am now the proud owner of my very own apartment on the beach in Hurghada and the process couldn't of been easier.
Now I can't wait until next year when it's completed so for now I'm busy checking out their furniture packages.

Some two years ago Rivermead Global helped us out of a hole – that was nothing to do with them!!

Though somewhat sceptical and fearing the worst, we went on to buy a very modest off plan on Turtles Beach. Now the property is finished and we are just about to complete – So exciting !!

Time has of course moved on... and our new apartment has gone up satisfyingly in value.
What do you do then??

Our original dream of buying a holiday apartment on a luxury resort in the Red Sea in Egypt turned very bitter. The developer, the agent and the solicitor involved helped to create the nightmare that followed... with a potential loss of almost £20,000.

After much anguish and wrangling, we got an offer of almost 70% of our money back but in Egyptian Pounds, which we later discovered was extremely difficult to transfer out of the country in Pounds or Euros.
Our Guardian Angels, in the form of Rivermead Global, stepped in at this stage, helping us deal with a dodgy solicitor and hundreds of Egyptian Pounds in cash, which we did not even know how to count properly!!!

Both Neil electronically from the UK and Garry in the flesh, on the ground in Egypt, smoothed the passage to a much more modest but much sounder 5 star beachfront investment in Al Ayhaa. Certainly, buying in Egypt has its risks and there are a lot of sharks out there. But the climate, the attractions of the Red Sea and value-for-money do make it extremely attractive.

The Team at Rivermead Global really bent over backwards to help us in our dilemma and to regain the confidence to stick to our original objective. Having tralled the internet and forums, we would not have trusted anybody else.

Albeit, much smaller, we believe we have a better proposition than our original one and we look forward to returning to Egypt soon. A big thank you to Neil and Garry in particular who acted as chauffeur, minder, chaperone, organiser, problem solver and anything else that we needed during our stay!

I have purchased a 1 bed apartment in Egypt through Rivermead and have been amazed at the quality of the customer service I have been provided with. Nothing is too much for the team and I can honestly say they mean what they say about guiding you through every step of the way. Rivermead Global is different from other agents as they believe customer service is above any other objective including making a profit for the company. There have been a few times where Rivermead has only charged me for items, the price they paid for them.

Furthermore, the staff will go above and beyond their duties. When I travelled to Egypt to assign my solicitor power of attorney Garry arranged an appointment with the solicitor, drove us to the passport office and then came with us to the power of attorney office. Everything was done by midday and I was not even charged anything for the time Garry had spent chauffeuring.

The staff at Rivermead treat their work more than just a job which ends at 5pm and always deliver above what is expected. Emails are answered promptly without having to chase for a response and I have been singing their praises since the very first time I spoke to Neil when I was looking to buy a property in Egypt.
