I purchased an essentials staple gun from Bishop Auckland branch. It wasn't exactly what I needed and took it back, and with a great deal of professionalism and PATIENCE, Emily, with a great deal of care helped to go through my options. With Emily's fortitude she helped me find a great replacement. Thank you, Emily. 10/10. A satisfied customer.
Pedestal fan wrong item sent from TCP & Screwfix
Purchased a pedestal fan from Screwfix, fulfilled by the manufacturer & supplier TCP. The website states delivery within 1 working day. It was 3 working days and then only after I had complained that it hadn’t been delivered. TCP sent the wrong colour fan (I ordered black and they have sent a white fan.) I realise there is a heatwave, but I ordered early and I expect the product I ordered to be delivered not something else entirely. It’s like they have run out of stock and are then sending anything! Very disappointing and makes me hesitant to use Acrewfox ever again. As it has come from an external supplier, apparently their usual guarantees or customer service doesn’t stand and you have to wait for an answer from TCP. Not good customer service. Get a good range of fans in stock and take responsibility for your customers experience. As others have said, don’t bother ordering anything from ‘verified suppliers’ as it either won’t turn up or will be completely the wrong item!
Screwfix is gradually getting worse
When it comes to online delivery orders, this firm is perhaps the worst. The system on Screwfix's end looks affordable and like a reliable choice, but the reality falls short. Items often arrive late or not at all. Orders are split into multiple packages with separate tracking numbers without informing customers, and tracking information is limited. Many products are poorly packed, resulting in damage, and customer service is a total shambles. They are there not to assist you, but perhaps to confuse you. A time ago, this firm was very different from what it is now. It has probably grown too big to be managed properly. In contrast, the closest competitor, Toolstation, is much more dependable for deliveries. With over 30 years in the industry, I recommend avoiding Screwfix for deliveries if possible.

AVOID Screwfix Hedge end, Southampton (WILL staff member Awful!)
After a positive experience during the week. It has been ruined by the employee WILL on Monday 4th May 2026. When checking to see if my item was ready to collect as it said whilst ordering via the Screwfix website that it would be able to be collected “from tomorrow” when I ordered it on Sunday 3rd May. I was met with an extremely passive aggressive attitude and unwillingness to help. WILL (as he passively aggressively pointed at his name badge when I just asked him for his name due clarifying the refund process so I could remember who I spoke to. “It says it right here, like a grumpy grunting teenager” ) needs customer service training! I will no longer be a Screwfix customer due to WILLs representation of Screwfix level of service. I will be sure to tell everyone and social media about my experience and NOT to go to Screwfix Hedge End.
I have got my item now from a competitor and will be opening an account there instead!
Terrible experience in the Ashington…
Terrible experience in the Ashington shop , went into shop to buy new bolt and keep for shed. Unsure of size and what I wanted. Spoke to duty manager , who was no help at all , after asking was told we have loads of different one just look at the computer over there. Which I did but kept requesting the wrong size. Or not the right one. The shop was empty. The time , instead of coming round and helping me select the right size. Or even getting some of the the shelves. Of I could pick the one I wanted. Duty manager should no interest of helping. As was still looking at computer another man came in and ask for toilet plunger to this he was told the same thing there is I computer over there look it up. You could tell the man had very little clue of the different ones screw fix sold. The man just left the shop. Along with myself. Customer service shocking. Duty manager showed no interest of helping customers. Out. WONT BE BACK.

Wanted to write a review as I sent my partner in a week ago to buy a kartcher pressure washer now the guy on that day said to us if u come back in a week u will get an extra 15percent off so we thought great nice of the guy to tell us (great customer service) to go in the week later for the offer which was on to be told by another guy he shouldn't of told u that (bad customer service) so because i saved money on the karcher I bought a £70 hose if i hadn't got the karcher for the reduced price id of bought my hose elsewhere so screwfix still made £40 more than they would of with the original sale so well done that man for telling customers about offers and shame on the one thay wouldnt of told us because u would not of made an extra sale so think smart sales people
WEEE recycling by Screwfix not free at…
WEEE recycling by Screwfix not free at all despite claims on their website. when tried to book collection of old dishwasher (having bought a like for like replacement from Screwfix), was suddenly asked to pay a £44 collection charge for a kerbside collection. Meaning am stuck with a dishwasher in a fist floor flat in central London.
Bad customer service and misleading website as had discussed recycling collection twice with R and J the day before and on the day and was told it was free and from flat directly as I had bought a like for like replacement. Turns out was wrong information as M then tried to charge the collection charge when it came to booking recycling.
Is that in line with Screwfix legal obligations under the recycling regulations?
Will think twice before using Screwfix again.

Very poor I have been on their chat for over 2 hours, they responded an hour ago but still they haven't got my invoice number up despite being given it. Very very poor customer service

Really helped me with a return for a faulty shower door.
The shower door was 4 years old but still in warranty, and the manufacturer (Aqualux) have since gone out of business.
Screwfix honoured the warranty and provided a full refund.
Faulty products sales company
They sell faulty inactive products and don't swap or return funds if you don't have an account or lost receipt of the sales even though I can prove of the sales via my bank account.
I would not recommend anyone to buy from a company denies their product sale or not taking responsibility for their faulty products.
Had enough
Been using Screwfix for years but had enough of the total lack of stock they have in store nowadays. I'm also sick of having political/ideological flags and banners all over the shop when all i want from them is tools or materials. I now use ToolStation where I don't have the same issues.

No communication - other than to say "order fulfilled". Order tracking says "Parcel delivered"
Screwfix apparently don't know where the other 8 items are.
Now have to wait 48 working hours (ie 6 days) for anything to happen.
I dont realy care how long it takes to deliver within reason.
But I do expect it to be delivered when they say it will be - particularly if you're paying extra for next day before noon.
I also understand that sometimes things go wrong - but I expect to be informed, and not have to ask the van driver where the rest of my order is !
Or indeed have to use the useless chat-bot to find out what's going on.
It rather felt like dealing with the council.
I give two stars because I did at least get 1 item - albeit useless without the rest.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Service from Sophie – Screwfix Gravesend
I just want to say a huge thank you to Sophie, the Duty Manager at Screwfix Gravesend. Even though my purchase was small, it was extremely important to me, and Sophie went above and beyond to help.
Her kindness, professionalism, and willingness to go the extra mile made such a difference. She didn’t treat it as “just another sale” – she really took the time to make sure I got exactly what I needed. It’s rare to find someone who genuinely cares that much about customers, and Sophie was simply amazing.
I left the store not only with what I needed, but also with a smile. She is a real credit to Screwfix, and I can’t thank her enough.

We are so happy to use this shop, the staff are amazing and always happy to help, they go out of their way to make our experience great. Always smiling and nothing is too much trouble.
I would personally like to thank Charlotte for always going that extra mile helping us find the correct product also offering a brew or a doughnut.
Once again thank you to all the staff I don’t know what we would do with out you all :)

Disappointed with Screwfix Customer Service – Let Down Twice
I’ve had poor experiences with UK, Screwfix Birmingham, Selly Oak, customer service on two separate occasions. I placed orders with next-day delivery, expecting prompt service. However, both times I received a text the next day saying the delivery was delayed, which left me no choice but to source the items elsewhere.
On top of that, there have been several occasions when I visited a Screwfix store only to find the items I needed were out of stock. It’s frustrating, especially when you rely on them for urgent jobs.
After these experiences, I started exploring other suppliers — and I was surprised to find better prices, higher-quality products, and better stock availability elsewhere. It made me realize the importance of shopping around instead of relying on just one retailer.
Screwfix seems more focused on keeping customers happy with small in-store perks like hot drinks or doughnuts, rather than fixing the real issues with stock and delivery. People should definitely consider looking around instead of feeling tied to Screwfix out of habit.
Very unhelpful and rude staff member…
Very unhelpful and rude staff member at the pollockshaws store in glasgow refused to help me look up and get a tube of adhesive. He should be kept at the back of store as he clearly has anger issues. This is not he norm for this store and this individual let down the rest of the very helpful staff.

I bought a dewalt blower from them as in the description it said “promotion included in this item” “free dewalt impact driver” so I purchased the blower and went to claim the impact driver and it had disappeared, i asked them and they said “oh thats only for the kitted garden equipment” and refused to help me,
I eventually found out they put the promo on all the tools. saying… they are all included in the promotion but in the t&cs its only about 10 of the most expensive ones…..
The person i was on the phone admitted that she had “come across this… problem… before”
Seems like a false advertising sales tactic and you should very very carefully read anything you buy from there, ive allways used screwfix but this seems like quite a scam
Ps their price matching is no longer to (a store within 10 miles) you can now price matching against any other store in the uk as long as its a physical store…. They dont inform the stores of this policy change tho
Toilet set
I bought a toilet set, and the toilet started to leak on the first day after installation. I contacted Screwfix, and they asked me for some evidence. I sent the video and
photos how badly its leaki but they still ask me the same thing repeatedly. I asked them to arrange a collection, but they were still playing with me and asking for more evidence. It seems they don't want to help me at all. Customer service is absolutely useless, they are not approachable to customers at all!!!!After 3 weeks no refund or replacement!!! Avoid!!!
