Absolute joke. Beware of buying any product from Screwfix,the majority is low quality manufactured for them.

1. I want to browse, not sign in (yet). Two pages to get to 'guest'.
2. Adverts! Beggars belief!!!
3. I put in 'brown plaster' (yes, have checked my spelling) given I have searched in the past for it. A trowel and other unrelated items appear before one plaster item.
I go to the Toolstation website. Easy to get in (and it remembered my nearest shop).
Brown plaster, lots of kinds of plaster, bag sizes etc.
Byebye Screwfix.
I want an easy life, not hassles and frustration to search for something.
I have always preferred Screwfix but no more.

The Service from the Team is always first class. Always happy to help with a smile. I truly feel valued as a trade customer. I made my feelings known I try to avoid going into the branch, When the Plumbfix counter is closed. No time to waste with DIYers that do not have a clue. Not a problem I always receive first class service outside Plumbfix hours. The opening of the branch was a big bonus to me as was the transferring of Staff from the Bangor branch. Made it a seamless move between the two branches.
The only negative I have is that Screwfix did not understand how well the branch was going to be a success. The unit is small so sometimes stocks are limited of certain Items.
It is also nice to see unlike the Toolstation next door the signs are in Welsh First and English second.
The cup of tea in a morning is always welcome !

Wish I could leave zero. Delivered a very heavy radiator damaged we waited in all day for it. Dreadful experience trying to get a replacemet waited in all day for it. supposed to pick up damaged radiater did not turn up. Waited all day for pick up. Now sat here waiting for for damaged radiator to be picked up. No notification from anyone so rang to be told. They should turn up you have to wait in for them. I said this will be the third day we have to wait in for this item. Screfix are useless yet people buy from them and good companies are being knocked out. We bought thermacouple for our boiler 7 months ago from them it failed. Shoddy goods. we were shown the one being fitted for the second time by our tradesman he said. This thermacouple from screwfix is half the thickness of the one i have fitted. they really are no good from screwfix. We have had to pay for a second time to have new one fitted. £75 Screwfix said we can have our £7 back. What about the fact we have had to pay twice. Not their problem hard cheese. This really is a dreadfull company selling cheap imitations. They dont bother to look at these reviews. They will get their just dues eventually surely they cant carry on like this. A13802204406 number of defective radiator. PLEASE COLLECT WE ARE FALLING OVER THE DAMN THING. UPDATE. Got fed up with waitin so rang DX and was informed that a collection had not been requested. So there you are lazy devils had not even arranged for radiator to be picked up. I have a logo suitable for screwfix that would be very apt for their vans. Screw you!!!

Great stock availability and great courier service.

I visited Screwfix in Lincoln today after my heat pump developed a problem. I was greeted by a very friendly store assistant. He couldn’t have been more helpful and after looking at my original receipt, he checked to see if the same pump model was still available. It was and he quickly located the required pump and I was on my way. What I experienced today was not just good service but excellent customer service. Well done to that store and to their efficient staff. I did note the staff member’s name but unfortunately forgot it. Through his helpfulness, I will definitely use Screwfix again and would recommend them to friends.

My experience with Screwfix was a positive one all the time.
I do find the items as described and good quality ( some brands not as good, but you get what you pay for I guess). The staff at the branch in Costessey are very friendly and always happy to help.
I had no issues either if I had to return an item.
They are my first choice when I'm starting a project.

Whilst I have always found the in-store experience satisfactory, I made the mistake of ordering a lawnmower with free 4-day delivery. Ordered on August 10th and still not delivered as of 22nd August.

Money was taken at the time of order but no communication from the supplier in the first 7-days. I contacted customer services and was assured that it would be delivered the following day. They provided with a courier tracking number that turned out to be inaccurate.

This is an expensive item, I am now stuck with waiting for a refund before I can source the item elsewhere. Sadly they don’t seem to be as prompt with refunds as they are with taking payment.

Needless to say, I will no longer use Screwfix online or in store

Standing waiting to be served and having to listen to 3 members of staff chatting about Thailand and lady boys other side of the wall while i was waiting is not what i want to hear!
Had to go public side to ask if someone could serve me and the guy talking about lady boys appeared and instantly says I don’t want to argue before even anything was said?
Definitely a dram queen! Plus in an aggressive manner said you don’t want to upset me today with his head going red lol 😂

He said i saw you and was only 2 mins erm no but would have been longer if i never asked if anyone could serve me while you had yeh chat!
I don’t want to but the manager and assistant manager were part of the conversation and should know better!
Over reaction for asking to be served when it was not even busy!
Staff must think they can do what they like at Screwfix with no consequences I’m sure!

Placed my first order with Screwifx yesterday for nearly £500 in kit. They took the money didn't get any emails from them - nothing. Today I logged in - no order in the account. Rang them - was told it was with "security" as it was a first order. Spoke to an arrogant woman in "security" who clearly thinks that anyone she speaks to is below her. Was told that because the card address and the delivery address were different that we couldn't place this order. Nowhere on their website does it make this clear. Our card is registered to our registered office and we've bought thousands of pounds of kit with it without any issue. The woman spoke to me as if it was my fault. So told them to cancel the order and have now ordered everything we need from Amazon who don't mess us about and delay us like this bunch of clowns. They had one chance to win a truckload of business and impress - well they blew that and I will now never buy a damn thing from them ever again - especially when they employ such rude and ignorant people. Save yourself some time and agony - go to Toolstation or Amazon instead!!! AVOID AVOID AVOID!

Bought quite a few things from the Carmarthen branch and always find the staff excellent.

Fantastic staff in Ludlow branch. Always helpful and friendly.
Had to return a faulty air con unit after 10months it’s wasn’t working. I contacted customer service online and was told to return and they would refund me. Wasn’t a problem and easily returned and refunded to Ludlow branch. Purchased a new one there to.

I’ve bee quite a loyal customer of plumbfix .. the trade side..
I am frustrated with the new tablet system,, if I have a large list of items .. eg central heating complete system, it’s nearly impossible to find everything.
Last time I tried, Jan 23, the tablet crashed, staff would not provide a catalogue, so I just walked out, and I haven’t been back for any large orders

Personally I used to use plumbfix for nearly all my work, upto £30k a year,
They obviously don’t want my business, and I know I m not the only trade person who now refuses to use them.

Recently needing a padlock for a gym locker, ( yeah, I know - budget cuts - ) I bought one made by Smith and Locke from Screwfix. It was a small brass case with 3 combination dials.

I’d only had it 2 months when I returned to my locker to discover it wouldn’t open, despite checking and using the correct code and juggling with it for about 10 minutes. In the end after describing my belongings to a male member of staff, I had to get him to take bolt cutters to it to get the thing off. No longer had the receipt so couldn’t return it.

Utter waste of money. Annoyingly I previously bought 12 sets of their internal chrome door handles from Screwfix when we redecorated 2 years ago and they’ve turned out to be of a pretty poor standard as well.

Recently bought (separate purchases on different days) an inverter generator and a wifi heating thermostat.
On both occasions the items were in stock and made available for collection within 15 minutes (ordered online).
Friendly staff on collection, really good prices, absolutely no hassle. Will be my first place to try in future...

Avoid buying anything from them sent by an “approved supplier” it won’t turn up, and screwfix will not care less. If you’re unlucky enough to get the live chat agent holly, she’ll be sure to ignore everything you ask and try and shift blame to the supplier, despite the contract being between screwfix and the customer. Not happy, still waiting on my money being returned

My experience of Screwfix has always been positive, place an order & it can be ready to collect within 60 mins. When I’ve had cause to return goods there has never been a problem. My local branch is great & the staff are amazing.

I'm ordinarily a Screwfix fan. They are normally good on pricing, and are local to me.
Yesterday, after on line research for two pairs of 450mm hook and band hinges, I ordered them for collection and immediately got a text to collect them. On arrival I was presented with two single hinges. I queried this as the equivalent item at Toolstation was a pair for £18.98, compared with a single one for £14.48 at Screwfix. Who on earth need a single hinge?
I showed the assistant the item in the Toolstation website, and she said that if they had been the same make they might have been able to price match, but they were not. As I didn't want to pay almost double, I left with a refund and no hinges. I went home, ordered on line from Toolstation and received them at 11.00 this morning on a free delivery.

Purchased Titan chainsaw online for collection from store, was asked to take the card I had paid with. Upon collection my card was put in the payment machine for verification and I was given a receipt saying "Payment details had been stored for account on file. No funds will be debited from your account". At no point was I asked if I agreed to my details being stored and would not have. BEWARE!
