As soon as I got in the male front desk staff walked away did nothing behind the scene and I was left standing by myself as soon as another customer appeared he attended to serve the rest customers and completely ignored me .Very poor service chesterfield.
The lady who served me was very good.
Stay away. Try Wickes
Walked into Screwfix store today. Requested 2 x Sika fastfix. However only one available in stock. I promptly paid for it. When it arrived on the counter with its lid smashed in I immediately said I want a refund as it will not keep for the time I would be using it. The young guy tried to convince me that it wouldn’t keep anyway and that all of it had to be used at once. Not what the manufacturer is saying on the instructions. Not sure a man would have been given that response . Perhaps he should have checked before trying to fob me off. When calling customer services they were very apologetic before informing me I would have to wait 3 to 5 working days for my refund I was fuming to think I should have to wait for my money.. !!!

Well the customer service from screwfix just gets worse and worse ... your customer service people have now taken to lying to customers...
Apparently after 9pm the day changes and magically time travels forwards in time to midnight ... without informing customers of this new magical event ...
At 21:01 Friday is no longer Friday it's Saturday... meanwhile in the real world we poor muggles don't know about this wonderful magical event & are not told at anytime at all ... so when you think your order will be delivered... it isn't until Sunday which is 2 days later ...
My advice it to not use screwfix if you have the choice ... unless you accept the fact they live in a magical land where time just doesn't work properly as it does for us mere mortals who enable them to exist at all ...
Customer service staff will also happily lie to you when you call them so don't bother with that as it truly is a waste of time

Don't buy the foldable table
Bought a foldable table, the quality is so cheap, table is wobbly. Plus the hook to keep it close is being mounted at the wrong length so it doesn't work

Screwfix? More Like Screwed Over
I am extremely disappointed with both the product supplied and the way Screwfix handled my complaint.
I collected two identical tubs of Ronseal fence paint from Screwfix Congleton. They were placed in the boot of my brand-new vehicle for the journey home, which took less than five minutes on normal roads with a 30 mph speed limit. There were no speed bumps, no sudden braking, no accident and nothing unusual about the journey.
When I arrived home, one of the tubs had leaked throughout the boot of my vehicle, contaminating the boot floor, trim panels and areas beneath the boot floor. The second, identical tub travelled in exactly the same way and remained completely sealed.
Despite these facts, Screwfix concluded that the damage must have occurred during transportation and refused to accept any responsibility. In my view, they failed to explain how two identical tubs transported under identical conditions could produce completely different outcomes if transportation was the cause.
I also found the handling of my complaint extremely disappointing. My concerns felt dismissed rather than properly addressed, and I was left with the impression that the company had already decided the outcome despite the evidence I provided. I was even addressed incorrectly in correspondence and had to ask for my records to be corrected.
I have been left with a damaged, brand-new vehicle, hours spent cleaning paint from areas beneath the boot floor, and no offer of assistance or compensation. Screwfix’s final response was simply to deny liability, tell me to pursue my own insurance or legal advice, and state that they would not enter into any further correspondence.
This experience has completely undermined my confidence in Screwfix. Based on how this matter has been handled, I will not be shopping with them again, and I cannot recommend them to others.

Awesome for DIY
I do a lot of DIY and all too often I figure out that I am missing something, so businesses like Screwfix are often a blessing. Often times they have what I need immediately available and in stock, can be picked up in minutes, long work hours (so you can go there on weekends or even on a workday after work) and the staff is always quick, effective and knowledgeable.
Been a customer for many years and i highly appreciate them as a business.

Selling customer returned items as new !
I purchased a £250 DeWalt hedge cutter the item came the next day . Box was all taped up and came in no outer box you could clearly see it was a customer return . Item didn't work . I returned to local store but have to wait for replacement to come into store I will fully test the next hedge cutter in store before leaving .
Selling customer returned items that are faulty as new . Really shady should not be happening at all . Box tapped up top and bottom and all the sides card board packaging was loose inside the box leaving the hedge cutters to move inside of the box .
Sending expensive items with no outer packaging again very poor practice. You sent a leaf blower that was half the value of the hedge cutter in an outer box .
Not a good look for your company at all .

Une absence complète d'empathie alors que je suis le premier client du premier magasine en métropole lilloise et que j'y viens depuis près de 4 ans.
Tout cela pour l'absence d'un carton d'emballage d'un chauffe eau dont la dimension ne me permet pas de le monter (10cm d'écart car bombé sur le dessus et pas indiqué sur la notice).
Particulier éclairé, j'ai du racheter un chauffe eau sans que l'on ne me fasse aucune remise... résultat, un chauffe eau en parfait état mais sans carton et qui est garantie 5 ans sans moyen de le rendre !

Very Poor Service
paid for next day delivery and about the time delivery was due I received a message saying that there was a problem and that item would have to be delivered the following day. DO NOT USE THEM find the item you want and buy it somewhere else.

Screwfix Cancelled Order
Update: 40+ hours still no refund.
I bought 6 items online. They promised first timer would get 10% discount. Lie. We got told that if we made purchases, we would get points and have enough points mean 10% discount.
Deduct one star.
Then we made an online purchase. We got through and placed an order, bank confirmed payment. We thought it was fine. They phoned us 15 mins later saying that we didn’t pass the verification. They refused to take our money. We offered to do the verification personally at the store. Their manager said to us that no such options available. But their staff did say to us that if we went to their store and we purchased at the store then there would be no problems. Verification issue was not the real problem. Being dishonest or making us feel that they were dishonest was the real reason.
Deduct one star.
We called our bank and we were told that this happened before and it was not something new. So it seemed that there was an issue with their website or their online system. They failed to admit that and warned customers about it. If they warned us, we would go to the store and not got pissed around for half a day.

The final nail to the coffin. They cancelled our order and they refused to give us reasons citing that it was for our own good. It failed to address the key issues. The money we paid was not returned to us immediately. There’s a chance that we had to wait 10 days. So not only they put us in limbo, they forced us not to buy it from others because the money had been reserved for them to take. How could that be legit? How could they not see the problems and simply refuse to acknowledge that they cause a problem. By telling us to go to their store to order again meaning we had to pay them twice before we got the products. How could that be right? Failing to see the problem via customer’s angle.
Deduct one star.
We really want to deduct one more star but the system will not let us. Their manager called us failing to offer any solutions except telling us we had to wait. When pressed why they couldn’t reserve the products and let us purchase again at the store when the money returned to us and they said that they couldn’t do that. It’s not her department. They said that there’s nothing she could do. That’s not in the system and we couldn’t do that. Their rigid thinking, their rigid practice and their failure to solve problems seem systemic.
Final score 0 out of 5.
Ps the real issue probably was that they didn’t have the products to sell in the first place and it’s a computer glitch that the products were on offer. Bet they would raise the prices when we got our money back . Classic bait and switch. Hope they prove me wrong.
We tried to help them fixing their own problems but they refused to listen.
All they could do was to ask us to write to them because frankly they offered us nothing but misery. And instead of Screwfix, they are actually say to us, “We don’t want your business. We don’t care about you. We don’t care about saving us as a customer”. In sum, Screwus is what they say to us.
We also bet that they will ask us to write an email to them rather give us solutions here. Because frankly, they don’t really care. They know suckers will still shop at their shop.
Note: see that’s what exactly they do, they ask us to write to them. But what exactly happen when we call them and tell them what happen. We know because we have talked to them before writing this review, they say that since it’s cancelled order, there’s nothing that they can do.
But we waited for the product for 2 weeks, we talked to their customer service sales rep on whatsapp. We were told to wait until stock were replenished. We did all that and we ordered and we got cancelled. We took our purchase serious. But in their reply, they tried to say that they were the only one that took the transaction seriously. This was trying to undermine us and belittle us.
They were happy to get our payment instantly after we pressed the button. But after more than 12 hours, we still didn’t get our money back. The bank said that it could take up to 10 days. So in 10 days, our money was locked away and we couldn’t use them. We couldn’t even go elsewhere to buy the product. Such inconvenience, they didn’t care. In 10 days, when we got our money back, the stock would probably be gone because they wouldn’t even keep the stock for us to purchase. They said no such option available. So their customer service is kind of useless. Our bank has warned us of their practices. They have told us not to make any future purchase from them. Let’s put it in plain English, it was their fault and they blamed us. They got us stranded and they didn’t offer anything to help us. We don’t trust them anymore.
Writing to them was a complete waste of time. So our real experience, don’t shop there.
Minis one more star.
Conclusion: they are in negative one star.

Fed-up with Screwfix
2 stores in Cheltenham. Both absolutely useless. Fed up with not having even basic stuff in stock. Like I'm going to wait days for a couple of 15mm pipe fittings. I've complained obout this before, but things have just gotten worse. Even the staff are embarrassed. Maybe I'm just the unlucky one, but I doubt it.

My order for some reason went thru…
My order for some reason went thru without my house name on it. So the delivery didn't arrive. Twice. And then the customer service on a WhatsApp chat disappeared. Lucky I only spent £11 as I doubt I'll ever see the money or the item again!

They do quality items
They do quality items, but i feel that when your warranty is for eg 5 years after a year if the item is faulty you have to go through manufacturer's which is a hassle. I think screwfix should be able to sort it out & it would be quicker .

Screwfix website isn't working.
Once you open their webpage (any), it is shaded in a second, and no buttons work. Even those 'accept cookies' don't work.
I have to buy my next kitchen tap elsewhere, as Screwfix don't bother to look after their website.
