Having driven with a manual clutch for 51 years I was extremely nervous at test driving an automatic car that I had seen advertised with Thame Cars. Peter was so patient and reassuring as he gently instructed me on the test drive. I loved the car, bought it and drove it home the next day.

I had to get a new car asap. Shelim couldn’t have been more helpful and understanding of the situation. As I didn’t have a car he tried to get me a courtesy car but that was out. We then arranged for me to be picked up from work the next day and taken to Thame Cars. The Team had my car ready for me to collect within 24 hours of me going to look.
Excellent and friendly service. Everything was talked through so I understood all the options for the finance, servicing etc etc.

We recently hired a van from Thame Cars, and I honestly can’t praise them enough. From start to finish, the experience was flawless. The van itself was immaculate, spotless inside and out, clearly well cared for, and a dream to drive.

What really stood out, though, was the service. Vickie went over and above to make everything smooth and stress-free. She was friendly, professional, and genuinely eager to help. While we waited for the paperwork, she even offered us complimentary coffee in their lovely, comfortable waiting room, such a thoughtful touch that made us feel truly valued as customers.

It’s rare to find this level of care and attention to detail these days. We’ll absolutely be using Thame Cars again and recommending them to all. House moving day is normally extremely stressful and we had no stress from our van hire with Thame Cars. I recently hired another car from a national firm and it was delivered faulty and unusable so I will always return here.

Great service from Peter who never gave us any hard sell so it was a nice relaxing experience, the advice he gave us was all spot on and the pricing of the cars is very reasonable and they only trade top quality cars. Messaged Thame cars before hours about organising a test drive on 2 vehicles. Had a reply by 7.30am and cars were available from 8.15am. Took both cars on a long unaccompanied drive. No pressure. Came back and bought one of them. First class service from the first email right through to collection. Thanks Shelim.

Would not buy from here ever again. Bought a 21 plate car back in July 2024. It was fine for a week or so and then the car started to smell like cigarette smoke. It got stronger and stronger, and my only guess is the person who had it for the 3 years before smoked all the time while driving and they had cleaned it to mask the smell. It had permeated the steering wheel and my hands smelled every time i drove it. I phoned up and complained, especially as my daughter who was 7 at the time, is asthmatic. They apologised and took the car in twice to clean it. The last time they did so it came back so full of perfumed scent it made my husband sick. He did a bit of online searching and bought an ozone machine that is supposed to help clear bad smells. We have to run it in the car for about half an hour every few weeks. It gets worse when the sun is on it or it gets warm. I cannot afford to replace the car 'just because it smells'. I have now had the car for 16 months and it continues to smell. When driving any distance i have to wear gloves. Everyone who gets in my car complains of the smell. My husband won't drive it. It is disgusting and i feel really let down. Stuck as i cannot sell on due to the smell. Definitely not fit for purpose as a family car.
