I am extremely disappointed with both this product and the customer service I received.

I purchased a 2XL Deep Sleep Bed after carefully reviewing Brooklyn's sizing guide. My dog weighs 28 kg, which is approximately 10 kg above the minimum recommended weight for this size according to their website. Despite following the sizing recommendations exactly, the bed simply did not work for my dog.

The centre cushion did not adequately fill the sleeping area, leaving gaps between the centre and bolster that caused my dog to sink into unsupported areas. In my opinion, the bed was not suitable for a dog within the advertised weight range, which led me to believe there was either a sizing or product design issue.

I raised these concerns with the company and provided detailed explanations, photos, and video evidence. Despite this, Brooklyn maintained that the bed was functioning exactly as intended and would not acknowledge any issue with the sizing recommendations.

The return policy was another major frustration. While returns are technically accepted, customers are responsible for return shipping costs. In my case, the shipping quotes I received were between $80 and $100, which was close to the value of the bed itself. This made returning the product financially impractical.

After weeks of back-and-forth communication and providing extensive documentation of my concerns, the company's final offer was a 25% refund if I donated the bed to a charity.

What disappointed me most was not the refund amount itself, but the complete unwillingness to acknowledge that a customer who followed the sizing guide exactly could still end up with a product that was not suitable for their dog.

If you're considering purchasing from Brooklyn, I would strongly recommend being very cautious about relying on the sizing guide and fully understanding the potential cost of return shipping before placing an order.

Update: Yes, Brooklyn Pet Beds did offer several resolutions as they stated. The $60 they are referring to was a discount if I purchased another bed from them (a more expensive option that would require me to spend about another $200 and take a chance on the company again). The partial refund they are referring to amounted to $25 (when I had spent $130 on the original bed). Not once did they address the sizing guide issue. I have since found photos on their Instagram page that advertise the 2XL bed and are made to look a lot smaller than what it is in reality with a much smaller dog in the picture. Disappointing how misleading this experience has been. They also did let me know the quote they received through to ship the return through Canada Post was $60. I am not sure how small they think the bed can be compressed for shipping, but after getting multiple quotes, the cheapest I was able to find was over $80.

My dog likes the bed but I have seen better at other dog stores for cheaper. Disappointed in the fabirc quiliaty and amount of cushioning. Central sleeping area bunches and there is not much padding at all. I wouldn’t buy again

Our dog absolutely loves the bed, sleeps through the night and even goes back to bed when he's been out for his morning toilet. We are pretty happy humans!

This is our second Brooklyn bed as our dogs loved the first one. Now we have for the lounge and bedroom.
The dogs always look so comfortable especially with the pillow sides.

Great speedy shipping. Very happy with removable cover makes washing and drying that much easier! Pup is so stoked on her bed she rather that then sleeping on my bed I'm almost shocked.

Bed is amazing, have actually bought two the same so got one at beach too. My Betty loooooves them and they are thick, soft and comfortable as I have fallen asleep beside her some nights.

The bed design and support are good, but I was disappointed with the durability of the outer cover. After washing, a hole developed, and once the inside became exposed, the damage worsened quickly. The bed is now no longer usable. I hope the company can improve the material quality and help customers in situations like this.

Speedy delivery, great service - dog was a little skeptical first day, refused to hop in the new bed...day 2 he gave it a go and LOVES it. He normally carries his own pillow (stuffed toy) around everywhere to rest his head on when he lies down - so happy the brooklyn bed has an edge pillow all round - great head rest! Lots of happy snores and naps in the bed. Has even put a couple little humans to sleep as well so added bonus!

We had a Brooklyn bed for our senior Golden Retriever, James, who we lost to cancer nearly 4 years ago. James and our Golden puppy, Stig shared the bed together (although by the time Stig was one, they certainly no longer both fit in it).
Sadly, when James passed, Stig would not relinquish the old bed they had shared. It was repeatedly laundered, and Stig had three other beds, but he always gravitated back to the old Brooklyn bed they had shared. We just didn’t have the heart to get rid of it.
When the new Brooklyn bed arrived, Stig was not convinced at first. So, we laid the two beds side by side- and that seemed to be a good compromise for him. He now snuggles into his “big boy bed” right alongside the old one. He has to keep a paw touching the old bed- and we are fine with that.
He has”adjusted the filling so it conforms perfectly to the way he likes to sleep- using the rim as a headrest. Many thanks for this bed- if we get another puppy, i am sure there will be another Brooklyn bed in our future.

Our animals absolutely adore their new beds! They seem to enjoy them just as much in the summer as they do in the winter months. Investing in cozy beds for our furry friends ensures they stay happy and warm year-round!
We love them also because they are made here in Australia, which means we appreciate the high standards of the materials used in the fluffy pet beds; they are washable and allow for alternating the covers should the sleeping four-legged pets become unwell, making a mess as they do when they are unhealthy.
