Positive Outcome

I spoke to Paulina. This Lady's communication skills were off the scale. Paulina navigated our conversation extremely well, she is kind, considerate and compassionate. We discussed the process that I'm handling and we both came to satisfactory solutions to moving forwards. It makes a huge difference when someone with integrity and authenticity really listens to you; Paulina held space well with Grace. When we have difficult decisions to make, it always helps when you see a service provider as your friend and not your foe. Remember, we are all here to help one another.

Setting up a payment plan …

My experience with trying to contact a team member to talk to, about arranging setting up a payment plan to pay you back, wasn't the best experience as I have severe mental health and my anxieties went high and got confused with the AI phone system, but thank goodness got through to talk to a wonderful team member called Hannah. I let her know about my conditions and she was so helpful and supported me to ground myself and helped me and supported me with setting up a payment plan. I understood what she said and I was listened to and felt safe talking to Hannah. You are fortunate to have her. She is very kind and wonderful person. Thank you Hannah. I am very grateful and appreciate all that you done for me.

Mathew made it great.
Listened and responded to each thing I said and I felt him understand my difficulties. He is a top class listener and let me grumble about my ills.
I felt a huge weight off my shoulders and wanted to hug and kiss him on his head out of love for his goodness. A wee saint of a man. Thank you zinc group he's a pure shiner.

An empathetic, helpful debt recovery service!

The guy I spoke with, Herson, was friendly, empathetic and accommodating. The whole process was calm and efficient and Herson did everything he could to help me work out an affordable payment plan. Due to the nature of the call, I have come away feeling listened to and, dare I say it, I am quite looking forward to the follow up call arranged with Herson next month! Thank you for a great service, not bad for a debt recovery service!!!

I was a bit apprehensive about ringing…

I was a bit apprehensive about ringing them due to it being a collection agency I was worried they would expect me to pay high monthly payments but to my surprise they were the complete opposite the man I spoke to was very polite, supportive, and very understanding.

Very poor performance

Very poor performance.
Apparently, American Express switched from AIC to the Zinc Group. In the process, while the Zinc Group managed to use my new, correct email address, they somehow didn’t manage to use my correct married name or address that the AIC and Amex had for several years. When I asked Matthew from the Zinc group to raise a complaint about letters being sent to my old address, Matthew blamed American Express for providing them with the incorrect address and advised he would raise a complaint against American Express rather than the Zinc Group. Could the Zinc group perhaps double check to ensure the details are correct before sending out documents containing personal information to the wrong address?
Matthew also strong-handed me into disclosing sensitive information about my health. Despite the reason for the call being unrelated, Matthew asked I disclose personal data relating to events that took place several years ago. When I asked if that was necessary, I was told, ‘yes it is’. When I disclosed the information, I was duly informed that I may withdraw the sensitive information I just provided if I wish due to its sensitive nature. So why was I forced to disclose it in the first place?! Perhaps the Zinc group could mention in advance that I have the option to withhold such information in the first place, rather than making me discuss it? Feels illegal, in my opinion.
Also, Matthew then continued asked personal questions over the phone despite me saying I would like to communicate in writing going forward.
Very unprofessional, intrusive, and discriminating company.

Great interaction and conclusion with Zara

Zara was lovely and reassuring on the phone call and was very helpful when it came to how much I could pay, I already had a budget to work towards so it was really easy to communicate this to her, my overall experience was really good. Thank you Zara for your time today.
