Frankfurt kann einfach keine Gepäckausgabe! Jedes Mal das gleiche Desaster. Lieber gar nicht fliegen oder von einem anderen Flughafen.

Für mich der schlechteste Flughafen, den ich bisher erlebt habe. Unübersichtlich, unnötig verschachtelt, teilweise missverständliche Beschilderung, extrem lange Wartezeiten an der Sicherheitskontrolle und insgesamt eine unangenehme Atmosphäre. Dazu habe ich mehrere Mitarbeiter als ausgesprochen unfreundlich und herablassend erlebt.
Besonders absurd ist das Konzept am Gate. Der eigentliche Wartebereich mit zahlreichen freien Sitzplätzen wird erst kurz vor dem Boarding geöffnet. Bis dahin müssen die Passagiere davor stehen, da es dort keinerlei Sitzmöglichkeiten gibt. Man steht also vor einem leeren Wartebereich voller Sitzplätze und wartet darauf, dass man dort endlich warten darf. Warum man die Passagiere nicht einfach dort sitzen lässt und erst beim Boarding kontrolliert, erschließt sich mir überhaupt nicht.
Als der Zugang offen stand und ich deshalb hineinging, wurde ich von einer Mitarbeiterin zudem extrem unfreundlich und autoritär zurückgewiesen. Eine normale Erklärung hätte vollkommen gereicht.
Im Vergleich zu allen anderen Flughäfen, die ich bisher genutzt habe, ist Frankfurt für mich mit Abstand der schlechteste und passagierunfreundlichste.

Terrible airport. Terrible staff and terrible facilities. The staff almost want to hold people up for as long as possible. Anxiety inducing hell hole. If I could give 0/5 I would and will be avoiding this place at all costs in the future. Multiple passport control checks , facial id photographs. Massive queues and just overall a horrible experience

Die Dauer der Gepäckausgabe ist für einen internationalen Flughafen ein schlechter Witz. Laut Anzeige sei die Gepäckausgabe seit 20 Minuten im Gange. Es kommt aber kein einziger Koffer raus.

Worst large European airport to fly into. To enter or leave the country as a non-EU citizen rarely is less than an hour. Today (Sept 14th) is has already been 2 hours wait to get through immigration line … avoid if possible

The signage at Frankfurt Airport is absolutely terrible.
Gate-to-gate directions are confusing, unintuitive and can literally send you back through security and passport control. The queues can be ridiculously long, with no fast lane to deal with situations like this.
At a major international airport, passengers should be able to simply follow the signs without ending up back at security.
Honestly, this is a scandal. Do better.

DO NOT CONNECT THROUGH THIS AIRPORT - the border control takes hours and hours and you’ll miss your connection if you have less than 4 hrs to get through. Staff are useless and say “what can I do” when explaining you need to go through. TERRIBLE AIRPORT YOU NEED TO DO BETTER

Year after year, Frankfurt is a horrible experience to fly through. Instead of dealing with the issues relating to excessive queues and far too many checkpoints that cause passenger delays, they have added MORE CHECKPOINTS?? Getting a connecting flight today we had a total of 4 checkpoints before we managed to board our flight. The newest one is a machine which scans your passport, takes a photo of you then scans your fingerprints... Which doesn't actually speed up the next part of the process which is a physical checkpoint anyway... What's the point of all this?? Also some of the scanning machines were broken and there were far too few for the amount of passengers. You need minimum 2 hours to get through this airport. Which also all of the walking bridges are broken down so are unusable so they're of no help either. Staff are disorganized and unhelpful.

Wir sind von Frankfurt nach Athen geflogen. Drei Koffer wurden gleichzeitig aufgegeben. Ein Koffer kam mit uns in Athen an. Ein weiterer Koffer 2 Stunden später mit dem nächsten Flug. Der Dritte sollte in dann nochmal in weiteren 4 Stunden ankommen. Das muss man erstmal fertigbringen...

Zudem sollte man das Kofferpersonal am Frankfurter Flughafen (FRA-Port) mal eine Schulung mit dem Umgang von Koffern unterziehen!!! Wenn man hier zuschaut, wie Koffer ausgeladen werden, dann verwundert mich solche Vorfälle (kaputte Koffer - wie in unserem Fall) nicht!!! Also nicht nur zu spät - nein, auch noch beschädigt!! Klar muss es schnell gehen, aber leichtere Koffer muss man nicht aus 5 Meter Entfernung in den Kofferwagen werfen und schweres Gepäck wie z.B. unseren Koffer sollte man auch Stellen oder LEGEN und nicht werfen!!!

1 is very generous to rate this airport -1 is how we would rate this airport due to rude housekeeping staff. Mocks visitor after being told to use the other bathroom as the floor was wet. In actuality the visitor did not had to use the bathroom, visitor is just looking outside the glass window. After visitor said above to the housekeeping he walked away and says "blah blah blah" . Very inappropriate and rude behavior. This airport should be AVOIDED if possible. Management should be aware of how staff are treating guests in this facility

Es ist echt nicht schön und unglaublich das man in Halle C keine Raucherlounge hat. Miserabel wirklich .
Und zudem nur SB Geschäft. Klein kalt, nicht schön

100 percent the worst airport in the world. Huge distances, 30 minutes bus drive, train, people who only speak German, RUDE staff.

They treat you with suspicion from the moment you arrive. The immigration queue is a horrendous, cahotic, anxiety inducing mess. You will see people crying, babies screaming and people missing flights. They close the passport booths suddenly for no reason, even with thousands of people queuing to 3 open booths.

Never book a transfer flight through this airport, ill never visit again.

Horrendous, anxiety-inducing and disorganised airport with hostile and rude airport personnel who misunderstood their job scope and thought they were employed as airport discipline masters. Don’t expect them to assist you, especially when you are rushing for a connecting flight. They were only trained to shrug their shoulders, scowl at you and tell you there is ‘nothing I can do’. Passengers who dared to approach them were either shouted at or dismissed. Absolutely disgusted with their attitudes. You have been warned to avoid this airport at all costs, unless you have a masochistic wish to get scolded or miss your flights.

Als Diabetes Patient wird man beim Sicherheitscheck überhaupt nicht ernst genommen. Ich wurde noch nie so angeekelt und abwertend behandelt. Das ist ein sehr schlechtes Aushängeschild für diesen Flughafen. Vielleicht sollten die betreffenden Mitarbeiterinnen noch einmal eine Schulung im Service- und Kundenorientierten Handeln wahrnehmen, anstatt ihr medizinisches Wissen zum Besten zu geben und die Bedenken der Reisenden ins Lächerliche zu ziehen. Es hinterlässt bei mir und meinen Mitreisenden ein leider sehr trauriges Bild.

Drecksverein, Fliegen seit jahren zu tief über Dörfer und Gebiete, extrem laut und nervig, ab 5 Uhr morgens jeden Tag geht der Spaß auch schon los.. bis 0 Uhr und sogar manchmal, bis in die Nacht hinein, ist ja eigentlich verboten nach 0 Uhr und zu laut sind die Flugzeuge auch, naja fliegen ist ja sooo toll..für die Trottel. Der Flughafen ist über 40 km weg und trotzdem fliegen die locker unter 1000m übers Dorf, bis das Dach scheppert. anzeigen bringt nichts... nur Beleidigen, hoffe der Laden geht bald den Bach runter. Gepäckausgabe dauert mehrere Stunden. Passkontrolle dauert mehrere Stunden.

This airport seems unusually disorganized and ill-equipped to handle the passengers arriving and departing. We encountered no less than four extremely rude employees, and the international arrival process was the worst I’ve ever experienced. Needless to say we missed our connection because we waited over 2 hours in the border patrol lines. The attitude of the employees just added to the displeasure. I hope I never have to pass through this airport again.

Sicherheitskontrolle total unorganisiert, unfreundlich ist noch nett ausgedrückt. Bitte bei anderen Flughafen eventuell mal Best Practice Beispiele einholen.. die überhebliche Umgangsweise ist schrecklich.

Beim Check In vor zwei Wochen an den Self-Checkin-Automaten um neuen Terminal 3 totales Chaos bei wenig Betrieb. Nichts funktionierte richtig, überforderte Mitarbeiter mussten immer irgendwas freischalten.
Bei der Rückkehr vorgestern totales Chaos bei der Immigration und am Gepäckband. Beim Zoll viel zu wenig Personal und zu aufwendiges Technikgedöns. Raubt immens Zeit. Und es sind nur zwei Maschinen gleichzeitig am Gate gelandet. Und am Gepäckband tat sich über eine Stunde nichts. Benotung: eine glatte "Ungenügend"
