Dreadful service

I had a shower under warranty which broke, initiallcontacted selectronic moved me on to RKW who arranged call by above. They wanted me to get someone in to put a part in that they couldn’t even know what was wrong, I refused, so they told RKW to send me new shower, which they did within 2 days, and got back to above to get it installed, they couldn’t get someone to come, remember this is a disabled shower under warranty, had to find my own, I did , sent in estimate and got go ahead and was told I would be reimbursed for the cost, tiswas on 27th January, was told payment was processed, waited 14 days not received, so got in touch, it had not been sent, contacted again, so could have to wait again for up to 14 days. This is not acceptable is it , I am a disabled woman over 74, and need the reimbursement, and no stress. I really am not confident that I will receive it

Since I last posted in the first week in January 2025 Absolutely NOTHING HAS CHANGED REGARDING MY QUANTUM STORAGE HEATER SO BASICALLY SINCE LAST NOVEMBER 2024 I HAVE BEEN LIVING IN A FRIDGE AND GLEN DIMPLEX DOSENT GIVE A DAM FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS
LIVING AS YOU KNOW WHERE THE TEMPERATURES WERE THE PAST FEW MONTHS HERE IN IRELAND WERE UP TO MINUS 10c DEGREES AND NOT HAVING MY QUANTUM STORAGE HEATER NOT WORKING PROPERLY ISN'T THE BEST THING TO KEEP YOU WARM IN THE EVENINGS
I HAD TO BORROW FIVE ELECTRIC FAN HEATERS TO HEAT MY APPARTMENT AS YOU COULDN'T SURVIVE THE FREEZING COLD WITHOUT THEM
I HAVEN'T RECEIVED AN ELECTRIC BILL YET FOR THAT PERIOD BUT ITS GOING TO BE EXORBITANT IF YOU WORK OUT THE HOURLY COSTS FAN HEATERS COSTS PER HOUR
WELL GLEN DIMPLEX SHOULD PAY FOR THE COSTS FOR THE ELECTRICITY COSTS OF THE FAN HEATERS I HAD TO USED SINCE LAST JANUARY

I have Reno my house with new drywall…

I have Reno my house with new drywall and paint , purchased Dimplex heaters and they have marked my walls with black marks . When called customer service they were no help as they just told me these products will mark and just repaint walls if you can’t scrub off . I feel they are unsafe and poor quality . Would never recommend this product!! In speaking to an electrician they said these are fire hazards. Now I will have to replace all 4 heaters and repaint house !! Not impressed with Dimplex customers service’

Belling Cooker - Problem Resolved

Following a fault with my Belling Sandringham Range Cooker, Luke from UK Glen Dimplex got in touch.

Luke and Glen Dimplex have been brilliant, organising an engineer and then my replacement product.

Due to this intervention, it's fully restored my faith in Belling as a brand.

This company appears not to want to…

This company appears not to want to support customers at all. After having a mystifiying issue with a fan, I emailed the customer service email address in the product leaflet. I then got a message saying this email no longer works and to put in request via portal. I then got another email for this request saying to put in the information in yet again, this time including a serial number that god only knows where it is. I used the only number I can find on the box to submit one. If anyone at Dimplex is reading this, I will come and talk to you about customer service, because I can guarantee you that you will be putting off people buying your products in future. Anyone at your company who thinks your current service is satisfactory should be given a stern talking to.

Consumer law is real Glen Dimplex

At 83decibels, this fossil fuel consuming,CO2 emitting electric motor sitting above my cooktop, is just that. Not fit for purpose, 'rangehood' was 'free' with my Nobby kitchen. I bet someone got a bonus, saving on tip fees. Aust consumer law protects us from rubbish like Glen Dimplex rangehoods. Through Fair trading, I hope everyone makes a complaint to Fair trading as GD has the very worst customer service,as does the installer Nobby kitchens as they are blaming each other for the poor,loud,pathetic performance of this appliance. Don't accept Glen Dimplex products at all. Choice doesn't even bother to test/rate them.!

Extremely Disappointing Service and Faulty Product

We purchased a fire unit from Glen Dimplex in good faith, expecting a quality product that would provide warmth and comfort for my elderly and disabled parents. Unfortunately, our experience has been nothing short of distressing.

After just two months, the fire unit stopped working. Despite multiple visits from Glen Dimplex engineers, the issues persisted. Shockingly, during the third visit, the engineer condemned the fire, claiming it was fitted incorrectly. This was particularly baffling as this issue was not mentioned during the first two visits. The fire was installed by a fully qualified Gas Safe engineer, yet only now does Glen Dimplex claim there was an installation issue.

My parents, one of whom is 86 years old and a full-time carer for my bed-bound mother, are left without a functioning fire, adding unnecessary stress and discomfort to their lives. The lack of clear communication, repeated faults, and the final condemnation of the unit have been incredibly frustrating.

We have been left feeling let down by a company we trusted to provide a reliable and safe product. Despite the fire being within warranty, Glen Dimplex has yet to offer a satisfactory resolution. We are now considering legal action if the issue is not resolved promptly.

I would strongly caution others to think twice before purchasing from Glen Dimplex. The stress and inconvenience caused by their faulty product and poor service are simply not worth it.

We will have to take legal action or raise a CCJ to recover the cost of the fire.

Belling Gas Hob Safety Issue/Recall not notified

Would give zero stars if possible.
A Gas Safety issue was identified in May 2023 for the Belling gas hob (GHU602GC) I bought in 2020.
The issue was posted on the government website relating to Product Safety 'product-safety-alerts-reports-recalls' on 5th May 2023, stating that there is a

The elbow on the connecting pipework of affected gas hobs can fail resulting in a significant gas leak, regardless of whether the hob is switched on and in use. Hazards resulting from a gas leak include burns, fire and explosion and poisoning from inhalation. The risk levels vary from low risk to serious risk, with the risk presented from fire and explosion being the worst case. The risk of fire and explosion in traditional built residences is high risk, and the risk of fire and explosion in a caravan or leisure homes is serious risk.

The products are not in conformity with the requirements of Regulation 2016/426.

Part of my day to day activities does not include checking various websites for safety issues for items I have bought, so I only found there was an issue on Friday 5th July 2024 at 15:49 by e-mail from Belling (aka Glen Dimplex).
The e-mail came from a domain that did not look genuine (@mktpoint.com), so my e-mail provider sensibly put it in my spam folder.
If it were not for the case that I look at my spam folder frequently just to check nothing has got in there that is actually relevant to me I would not have seen this e-mail.
Luckily I looked that same Friday evening (5/7/2024) and was able to take the necessary action to get the gas hob inspected.
My gripe is that an issue of such gravity regarding my safety and that of others in the block of flats, should have been notified in writing to the registered owner of the appliance (me) on 5th May 2023. I found out over a year later !!!
Putting a downloadable .pdf on the company website, a notification on Facebook page or sending an e-mail with a dodgy looking domain so it is put into the spam folder is NOT a responsible way of informing people of a serious issue.
VERY VERY POOR SHOW.
Personally I think this is a very serious issue that has been handled exceedingly badly.
If Glen Dimplex has a ISO 9001 certification, the issuing body should look at this company very closely.
For those interested the Product Safety Report it can be read on the government website for Product Safety Reviews, type 'Product Safety Report: Belling / Stoves Gas Hobs (2304-0135)' into the sarch engine.

do not buy any appliance from glen dimplex we have got a stoves oven witch had been replaced 3 times and itvis going back next week as it is going to be swopped over next week for a different brand as stoves are bad quallity and after a week the chrome comes off the shelves i have emailed stoves twice and no answer back off them they dont give a dam about customers they want to go bust as the quallity of there aplliances is rubbish so do not buy nothing from glen dimplex rubbish company and products from stephen smith

Not a bad shower, pity about the holder

We got a Bright 9.5kW electric shower because it was the one supplied by the electrician who fitted it and it does work fine. Unfortunately, the shower head does not sit very securely in the holder and always looks like it could fall out. A very poor design in my opinion.

Terrible company

Terrible company, engineer that came was rude disinterested and just didn’t want to do the job. Lady did her best in the office but quite clearly there is a script and computer says no. Funny how 3 gas safe engineers are happy to complete the work but Glen Dimplex wouldn’t or may be couldn’t. Stay well clear of this inept organisation.

Wish I could give less than one star

Wish I could give less than one star. Worst company I have ever had to deal with. There was a fault in a gas connection they supplied, which may have caused a gas leak so I had to employ someone to disconnect it at my own expense. Then I had to wait months for them to fix it and had to make countless calls to them requesting an update. Finally it was fixed by a lovely local engineer. But since I am being inundated with calls from them asking if I still need it fixed although I have already spoken to three separate members of staff tell them yes and to take me off their list. A complete shower of incompetence! Avoid

Bought new electric fire 12 months ago

Bought new electric fire 12 months ago, had to have it changed because very loud motor. The replacement has exactly the same problem, have been waiting since last November for it to be repaired. Chased it up numerous times and eventually told they had the part and will give me a text with date in the next day or two. Two months later given a date of 15 January, but engineer did not arrive, and now told they haven’t got the part! What is wrong with this firm? How can they be so hopeless and still trade?

Disappointing Service and Product - Never buy

Bought the rangehood 3 months ago and it turns out to be faulty. Been waiting desperately since then for an outcome with the pathetic service and processes. After buying a brand new range hood and the professional installation and after spending nearly $1800, I am still waiting for it to be fixed. So I will never recommend anyone to buy anything made by glen dimplex as if you end up having to deal with the warranty side of it, you are better off throwing the product away and buying a new one. Extremely disappointing customer service and waste of money.

I’ve purchased my apartment one year…

I’ve purchased my apartment one year ago the microwave came with it.
Suddenly it doesn’t work one day we rarely used it at all.The warranty has 3 years.
We’ve been contacted with the company ended up technician came to look at the microwave he said he is going to order the part.
After that i’ve contacted with the customer service they said the part will be arriving after two months.
So pissed off.Its been almost 2 months now!!!!!!
Who should take care of this!!!Dont ever buy products from them!!!!

Awful experience and still not resolved

Awful experience - I contacted them 10 weeks ago about a problem with my heating, it took several weeks for then to come out and then it did not work after their repair - now they tell me they are waiting for a part. Terrible service and communication, it seems they are the only ones who can intervene. Now I understand their low rating here - any prospective buyers should take note.

awful to deal with

Ordered spare parts for an oven - they were overpriced for what they were but had little choice. They sent some incorrectly but made me pay again for the correct ones, then did not credit in full for their return - so I paid for their error - and each call took over half an hour to connect to them and i had to deal with someone on the end of the phone who could not have cared less. Awful company!
