Tromperie inacceptable – Iberostar Selection Mirage
J’ai réservé il y a plusieurs mois un séjour au Iberostar Selection Mirage. L’hôtel était présenté comme appartenant à la chaîne Iberostar, avec tout ce que cela implique : qualité, standards élevés, rénovation, service fiable. Aujourd’hui, à une semaine du départ, j’apprends par pur hasard que cet hôtel n’est plus un Iberostar, mais simplement le vieux Mirage Resort, sans rénovation, sans aucun des services attendus.
Et bien sûr, aucune information, aucun message, aucun avertissement de la part d’Iberostar. J’ai découvert la supercherie en appelant moi-même leur service client. Et là, la cerise sur le gâteau : on me parle avec un ton sec et désagréable, pour me dire qu’il n’y a « pas de solution », que je dois accepter ce Mirage Resort comme si de rien n’était.
C’est une arnaque pure et simple.
On m’a vendu un séjour dans un Iberostar Selection, et on m’impose un hôtel complètement différent, sans m’en informer, sans m’offrir d’alternative, sans aucun geste commercial. Mon séjour est déjà gâché avant même d’avoir commencé.
Ce genre de pratique est honteux, malhonnête, et totalement indigne d’une marque comme Iberostar. Si vous tenez à vos vacances, fuyez cette chaîne. Plus jamais Iberostar pour moi.
Iberostar Panoromo Crete is an…
Iberostar Panoromo Crete is an impressive well-run hotel offering a good all-inclusive service to customers. But there are things I believe visitors should know.
It's location "on the sea" is accurate, but this is not a beach hotel. There are a number of rocky coves accessible from the hotel, which have been made usable by many hundreds of tons of concrete, which, though they have provided flat surfaces for sunbeds, have possibly spoilt their natural charm.
My great pastime on a holiday (apart from reading) is walking the locality. Unfortunately both were compromised: a busy road, including a flyover, hem the hotel in providing a difficult and noisy barrier to anyone with wanderlust extending beyond the hotel perimeter.
Speaking of noise, reading anywhere near the main pool and restaurant was difficult because of a constant stream of loud music, much of which could only be described as unlistenable. Why, at 11.00 am or 3.00 in the afternoon, when people may want to read, talk or, God forbid, just think, should there be a constant barrage of noise!
So, for me, and those like me who love peace and nature, I would say no to this Iberostar.

Yo compré membresía en julio 2023 , en el 2025 la usé por primera vez buscando el mejor precio como ellos dicen del 25% sobre el mejor precio que les muestres,lo cual no es así ya que yo reservé una habitación que quedaba guardada por 47 hs, y a las 24 horas llamé y ya las habían vendido, por lo que tuve que pagar mucho más ya que era la última que les quedaba encima , no tenía otra opción.
Les estoy reclamando hace tiempo este tema y se pasan la pelota uno a otro hechandome la culpa a mí, cuando el error fue de ellos que la vendieron antes del horario establecido.
Así que no compren membresía por qué no cumplen con lo que dicen, a la hora de utilizarla no tiene las habitaciones económicas disponibles , te hacen acceder a una más cara. Compren en riu, no en Iberostar.

Iberostar Jardin Del Sol. Santa Ponsa
Just returned from a week at the Iberostar jardin del sol in Majorca and we have to say what makes this hotel is the STAFF. They are all so friendly, helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Special mention to the Girls on Reception especially the new girl whose name I didn’t take. Also Ivan, Giuseppe and Diego. Well done all you are true Ambassadors for Iberostar 👍
Sabila hotel
Just return from the Sabila hotel in Tenerife. Adults only hotel. Such amazing staff and hotel. Everything was perfect. The staff, the food, the room, cleanliness, service, facilities including the gym and pool areas. Would 100% recommend this hotel.
A Deeply Disappointing Final Night at Iberostar Selection Sábila – Unacceptable Service and Staff Behaviour
I’m incredibly disappointed to be writing this review, especially given the reputation Iberostar has — a brand my family has trusted, with my brother having stayed at four Iberostar properties and consistently praising the quality. Unfortunately, my experience at Iberostar Selection Sábila on our final night was not only poor, but unnecessarily stressful and mishandled in a way that reflects serious issues in staff training and guest care.
At around 18:00, I reported a leaking toilet and foul smell in our room. I was told maintenance would arrive within 20 minutes — but over an hour passed with no sign of help. I called again and was met with dismissiveness, as though my concern was a nuisance. I went out to dinner expecting the issue would be handled in our absence, but when we returned, nothing had been done. The room remained unclean, the smell worse, and the toilet still leaking.
I returned to reception, and rather than fixing the room or offering a comparable alternative, we were moved into an accessible room — a clear downgrade from the double room we had paid for. We accepted it out of exhaustion and the lack of options being offered.
Later that night, at around 12:00am, I tried again to resolve the situation — and that’s when things escalated unacceptably. I spoke to the only staff member on duty, who identified himself as the only person managing the entire hotel at the time. He quickly became aggressive, dismissive, and hostile. He told me I was “stressing him out” because he had other things to deal with, and even went so far as to say that cockroaches were normal in Tenerife and that I should just accept it. This is not an acceptable response in any standard of hospitality, let alone a 4-star hotel.
He then attempted to move us to another accessible room, stating that this was the only category available to us — again, not what we had paid for. His tone became increasingly confrontational, at one point screaming at me and exhibiting aggressive behavior that left me shocked and deeply uncomfortable. After over an hour of trying to find a solution, we gave up and remained in the original accessible room.
In the morning, I asked to speak to the manager. Her response was more composed, and she offered to move us to a new room. But by that point, our flight was only a few hours away, and we had spent the night sleepless, distressed, and deeply unsatisfied. The gesture, while appreciated, came too late to rectify the situation or undo the exhaustion and emotional strain caused by the previous night’s events.
I genuinely expected more from Iberostar — and had chosen this hotel in part because of strong recommendations from my brother, who has had great experiences with the brand. But this experience was anything but “premium.” Between the unresolved maintenance, the downgraded room, the cockroach, and the hostile treatment from staff, our last night was ruined.
I sincerely hope Iberostar addresses these issues — particularly the urgent need for training in respectful, solution-focused customer service, and the importance of delivering on the quality promised. No guest should be treated the way we were, especially not in a hotel of this caliber.
Hotel geschlossen - keine Alternative angeboten
Im November 2024 haben wir bei Iberostar für Oktober 2025 einen Aufenthalt im Iberostar Waves Pinos Park auf Mallorce gebucht. In der Zwischenzeit haben wir erfahren, dass das Hotel offenbar für Renovierungsarbeiten geschlossen wird. Seit über einem halben Jahr vertröstet man uns im Hinblick auf eine Umbuchung. Jedes Mal heißt es, man habe noch keine weiteren Informationen. Ich finde das Vorgehen absolut unverschämt. Es ist mittlerweile Mai 2025 und angeblich wissen sie noch nicht, ob im Oktober 2025 das Hotel geöffnet hat? Das ist für eine Gruppe in dieser Größe wirklich erbärmlich. Wir werden in Zukunft sicherlich kein Hotel von Iberostar mehr buchen. Derzeit hängen wir komplett in der Luft. Die Antwortzeiten sind zwar kurz, aber inhaltlich helfen uns die Rückmeldungen kein bisschen weiter. Ich bin sehr enttäuscht!

Stayed at the iberostar waves Las dallas. Chucks of wood out of cupboards . Rotten wood pealing of bathroom door all on the floor . Hairdryer blew up in someone's hand . Door entry did not work couldn't get in room . Had enough after long day out. Had to pay for upgrade. Wen I said I wasn't happy they agreed to give me back my 60 euros upgrade fee ... if I signed a compensation form to be quiet and not publicly annnounce the problems at this hotel. I read this in descrace and said no way . It should of said refund . I did not sign this and they gave me my refund. With a receipt. I am taking this further ... most of the staff were amazing .. I said hello to everyone everyday adding to my review . There was constant cannabis vaping around the pools and children's pool . Vaping was aloud everywhere.
Wonderful place, just not vegan friendly
We have just returned from a 7 day holiday in Tunisia. The hotel was beautiful, our room and view overlooking the sea were incredible and we felt truly grateful for it. The hotel was incredibly clean and the staff were absolutely lovely.
We were able to book a day out at reception and had our own driver for the day. The beach at the hotel had a bar, a snack bar and an area offering water sports. The hotel also had a gift shop which was very reasonably priced.
There is a gym there that opens at 7am, I used it once but with no air con or water at the gym, it was uncomfortable to use and the weights are very limited and didn’t allow us to change them in order to be able to use them (too heavy for me).
There is a lovely indoor pool area that we used a few times with water of 30° - just wonderful. It was never really busy and felt very relaxing.
There’s a spa offering massages which we used. Their hard massage is nothing like a hard one in the UK, but it was still lovely, just not what I was expecting. But different is ok.
If you eat everything or are even pescatarian or vegetarian you would live very well, the food offerings for the majority is like that of royalty and very impressive. But if you are vegan like me, the food offered feels like an after thought and they clearly don’t seem to know what wonderful food can be made and this, they should definitely improve. I lived on salad and chips or salad and potatoes because boiled cauliflower, sprouts and carrots just don’t do it for me. We cook incredible food at home and was hoping that a 5 star hotel would be able to offer something better than they did.
We did raise it, the staff said they’d make me my own menu (I felt a little awkward with this but thought we’d see what they offer). The following night I approached one of the staff we’d spoken to who spoke with a chef, who pointed us back to the same vegan section. Raising it once was enough and it’s embarrassing to have to do it every night. I just want there to be better options and more of them so I’m not eating the same thing every day, which is what happened.
I ate the same thing for lunch and dinner, dessert was fruit because they clearly haven’t researched the amazing desserts you can make. It seems to me they have most of the ingredients there for other dishes, so could easily offer more.
Unfortunately, and no disrespect meant, I think they may need some more education on what veganism is because they labelled honey as vegan and an egg omelette as vegan, so you also have to be careful what you eat, hence why I stuck to salad and chips/ potato, unfortunately I was often hungry and the snack bars didn’t offer anything suitable, so I was in the little shop buying peanuts and crisps.
I don’t drink alcohol but they offered some lovely mocktails and the usual soft drinks; the staff come to you around the outdoor pool and beach areas to bring you drinks. They are such lovely people; the service was generally wonderful, and the majority of the experience was fantastic.
We chose to parasail from the water sports area and it was incredible. Neither of us like heights and the anticipation was nerve racking, but in a blink of an eye you’re being whisked up into the air and it feels so safe, calm and peaceful. The chaps harnessing us up and bringing you down back onto the beach do it so well and with such precision. Even if you are scared of heights I’d recommend the experience. We both loved it and would do it again.
I would genuinely love to give more stars but food is such a big part of the holiday when you’re all inclusive. If you are vegan and do visit this hotel definitely go all inclusive though as the surrounding area is very meaty and we ended up just having a coke in a cafe because there wasn’t anything without meat or cooked separately from meat.
Veganism is on the rise globally and it would be lovely to think that others would have a better experience than we did. So I hope the kitchen team are able to review their options and offer more tasty vegan friendly food.

Die Hotelreservierung für den Sommer muss aufgrund von verzögerten Renovierungsarbeiten storniert werden. IBEROSTAR hat sich geweigert, die daraus resultierenden Stornierungs- und Umbuchungskosten zu übernehmen. Somit bleiben wir unverschuldet auf 500 - 820 € sitzen.
Kundenfreundlichkeit definieren wir anders!

Ik probeer al een tijdje contact te leggen met founty beach resort in Agadir via de mail maar ook via contact formulier maar te vergeefs, heb zelfs geprobeerd om bel me terug actie helaas niets werkt!
Robbed by a staff member
Shame being robbed by a staff member at the last day ruined all the good work from the other staff members during the previous week.
Some points, do deserve the 5 star rating (Naila, our room cleaner, Shaggy, from the entertainment team and some of the waiters that do go above and beyond to ensure your cup is never empty, the lifeguards always ready to help with the sun loungers and umbrellas) were all very good.
The pools are nice and big, however not cleaned daily so there was sand on the bottom. The corridors to the rooms are not cleaned either and the vents on the walls, bring out a "sewage" smell.
Upon arrival, the bathroom in my room was dirty, but the issue was resolved by the manager promptly.
The food selection in the restaurant is plenty, but repetitive, it is ok for a short stay, but after the third day, you know exactly what you are walking into for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Also, be aware of the birds flying freely inside the restaurant and eating straight from the same food trays that we are.
The cleaner covering for Naila on our check-out day asked me for my deodorant... weird and I wasn't going to mention as it is such a small thing, but following the theft by the reception team, I believe some staff members need a refresher course in how to act in a professional manner.
We checked out at 11 and were told by the staff that it was ok to leave the suitcase and rucksack at the reception as it was safe and our airport transfer was not until 1530 that afternoon. To my surprise, when I arrived at the airport, I noticed that my Airpods had been taken from my rucksack.
I have been in contact with the hotel for a week now (since the incident) and yesterday they confirmed to me that their investigation is concluded and my Airpods are nowhere to be found, however as a “gesture of goodwill, they are offering me a free upgrade and a SPA treatment on my next stay”….Not sure if the response is a joke or a hopeful move so they get to rob me again, either way, the action was shocking and disappointing and the outcome is insulting.
I would have never expected to be robbed in a hotel, but specially not in a so called 5 star hotel such as Iberostar.

Unforgettable Holiday – 5 Stars!
We had an amazing week at Iberostar Kantoui Bay in Tunisia and fully recommend it! From the warm welcome at reception to the friendly staff at the pool, bar, and restaurant – we felt safe, cared for, and truly at home.
Special thanks to Imed and Basim for introducing us to a range of fun activities like camel riding, quad biking, jet skiing, horse riding, and even parasailing – all perfectly organized and so much fun!
Our room was always spotless thanks to Saheem, with fresh towels and flowers every day.
A big thank you to Jalel and Lobna in the dining area, who took great care of our table for 8 days and made us feel special at every meal.
The food was delicious, with a great variety of local and international options.

This is for Iberstar Royal Mansour in Mahdia, Tunisia.
Positives:
- the hotel looks pretty good on the inside, quite grand and it's nice they provide water and flavoured drinks to refresh yourself near the reception area
- buffet overall pretty nice, lots of choice. Great they have gelato flavours like lemon.
- cleaners leave funny and cool towel statues especially if you have a child
- Shout out to Abelkarim and Wassam, very attentive waiters
- The man who does the pasta at lunch time is so cool and funny, he sings while making up the kind of pasta you want
- animation team were pretty good and it's great that there's kids disco plus 4 hours of childcare a day
- aqua aerobics is pretty good for a light workout
- enjoyed the yoga each morning too
- great they have a heated indoor pool as we made the mistake of going in April and it's not warm enough to go in the outdoor pools! (next time go to Egypt - the hotel may want to consider heating a small outdoor pool for this reason..)
Negatives:
- we were put on the far end of the hotel and the wifi was TERRIBLE, so bad that we'd never come back for that reason. In this day and age every room should have strong wifi - they also didn't allow wifi through the TV so what was the point of having it there? (cannot log into own Netflix etc), they said they came to check the connection but it never improved...
- layout of the hotel is a bit strange, you have to walk all the way around to get places instead of having easy walkways, and also the nearest toilets to the dining hall are quite far away
- painters come and paint areas outside but there's not much signage around and both myself and partner at different times got paint on our clothes
- tennis courts are dirt-floor and when it's windy it really gets in your eyes
- hairdryer in the bathroom is quite weak
- the room cards stop working after a little while and you have to activate them again but there's no warning this will happen and also no apology for the hassle of re-activating them
- tried the 'fine dining' experience at the Italian restaurant next door; we left after the second course soup - it tasted so bland and horrible, as though it was straight from a can!
- water at dinner is clearly from the tap and just with a filter; thought that with all-inclusive this would surely include bottled water
- speaking of water, the glass bottles in the room are just a strange touch, as they are difficult to open and a hassle. but I guess it makes the water better in a glass bottle - they just also could add plastic bottles too which are easier to use
- one of the tourists stole something of ours which is so low - though this is not the hotel's fault and they allowed us to look into this properly, though the technology they use is not advanced enough to really capture the culprits
- the lifeguard in indoor pool is not always looking, sometimes is on phone and doesn't seem to notice if children are under the water and haven't come up again in a while; some are better than others though
- there was a flashing light on our TV at night, if you don't have an eye mask it can be quite irritating
- very lumpy pillows in the room - quite shocked for a 5 star hotel
- two beds are brought together to make a double (though for those who don't mind it does make the bed quite big)
- we got bitten by bed bugs; and it looked as though they were coming to fumigate after we were leaving so I think there must be an ongoing problem with an infestation
- cleaning of rooms was not very thorough and didn't feel like they were properly cleaned especially in bathroom area
- the shop at the hotel was ridiculously overpriced for crisps and drinks etc
- they should not charge for the jacuzzi especially if all-inclusive
Although there appear to be more negatives than positives, our overall experience was nice, and perhaps if it was warmer we would have enjoyed ourselves more and focus less on the negatives; the food and the staff in general make it a nice time, and the rooms are overall ok as well. We know 5 star in North Africa is not 5 star anywhere else. If you have children, then do come to this hotel as it is great for families - entertains the parents as well as the kids.

Service client déplorable – problème toujours non résolu
J’avais réservé un séjour à l’Iberostar Selection Mirage Hammamet 5*. Un mois plus tard, Iberostar m’informe que ma réservation est annulée pour “circonstances imprévues” et qu’on me reloge d’office dans un autre hôtel situé à plus de 100 km de ma destination initiale, sans même me consulter.
J’avais pourtant tout organisé autour de cette réservation : billets d’avion depuis la France jusqu’à Tunis, activités planifiées dans la région de Hammamet, transferts, etc. Ce changement me met dans une situation très compliquée.
J’ai proposé une alternative raisonnable, dans un autre hôtel Iberostar à Hammamet, avec une compensation équilibrée. Depuis, aucune réponse concrète. Le service client se contente de répéter que le service commercial n’a pas donné suite, sans jamais faire avancer les choses. On me fait perdre du temps, alors que les prix augmentent et que les chambres risquent de devenir indisponibles ailleurs.
À ce jour, rien n’est résolu. Le manque de professionnalisme, de coordination et de respect du client est inacceptable pour une chaîne hôtelière de ce standing.
Je déconseille fortement Iberostar à toute personne qui cherche un minimum de sérieux.

Eine Woche im Iberostar Waves Cristina, Playa de Palma = eine wunderbare Rundum-Sorglos-Woche. Zimmer sauber, Personal freundlich und hilfsbereit. Essen war super, da auch für jeden Geschmack immer etwas dabei war! TOP! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, jederzeit gern wieder.
