Do not order from this company if…

Do not order from this company if you're based in the UK as goods take around 3 weeks to arrive despite stating on the website it's 5-10 days. The goods I ordered despite being small and flat packed were then delivered on a pallet by an industrial lorry and the driver would not bring the goods to the door unless someone helped him load off his van. We were of course happy to help, however this was a very strange way to deliver flat packed garment rails for personal use.

We’re very sorry for any inconvenience caused during your order. The delivery delay was due to customs clearance, which unfortunately is beyond our control. Regarding the delivery method, pallets and industrial lorries are sometimes required for certain shipments to ensure safety and prevent damage, even for flat-packed items.
Throughout the process, our customer service team was available to assist you and find suitable solutions at each step, and you even mentionned that you really appreciated their professionalism.

Rubbish service

Despite spending £10 on postage only one delivery attempt was made and then my purchase was returned to France. No one replied to my enquiries until yesterday - more than 10 days after I first tried to contact them. I’m still awaiting a full refund. Definitely don’t recommend (& I’m not entirely convinced they’re not a scam). Either way customer service is rubbish.

Please rest assured that as soon as your claim reached our customer service team, we immediately forwarded it to Chronopost and requested an investigation. In fact, Chronopost has initiated an enquiry and confirmed they will get back to us no later than August 12 with more information on the parcel’s location.

Bad experience buying from retailer

Delayed shipping, bad customer service, items packaging was in such bad condition on delivery - including one table leg fully sticking out of the box - that it was a miracle nothing was damaged. Won’t buy from this retailer again.

Excellent on all counts

Fast delivery and good communication. My items, which are fragile, arrived well packaged but not overly so, so it didn't take me an hour to get into the package, and almost all the packaging was easily recyclable. Very impressed customer.

Awful customer service

Order arrived damaged and can't get hold of anyone to discuss. Already filled in the customer contact form but no reply. Customer services number cuts out after selecting option to discuss an order.

Seems like the only way to get a response from this company is via a Trustpilot review so here we are.

I ordered a book shelf 3 weeks ago and I still haven’t received it. The tracking number shows a delivery date from 2 weeks ago. When I call it says our agents are busy, please call later.

I purchased pendant lights from this…

I purchased pendant lights from this company. Two were faulty. They are ghosting me and will not escalate my claim. I have engaged in months of correspondence with the designers of the light fittings (all work that MID should have done). Now they refuse to communicate with me I am forced to sue them for damages in France or Mediate in a language that I do not speak. They are complete cowboys. Corporate fraud of the highest order.

We are truly sorry to hear of your continued dissatisfaction and frustration. Please allow us to clarify the steps we have taken regarding your case.
When the supplier acknowledged that the initial model you purchased was an earlier version still in stock in our warehouse, we immediately placed a new order to provide you with a replacement, at no cost, even though the product was fully compliant.
Several months after receiving your order, you contacted us again, this time regarding the other wall lights, stating they were not compliant due to minor discrepancies (a few millimetres) compared to the supplier’s technical specifications. These particular details were not listed on our website.
Throughout this process, you also engaged in direct and repeated correspondence with the supplier, despite the fact that, as they themselves confirmed, all claims must be handled through Made In Design. The supplier has since shared the full exchange history with us and confirmed that they replaced all the items free of charge, without even requesting a return of the originals.
Given this context, we must clarify that it is not possible for us to process a refund for a product that has already been replaced in full.
We understand that this situation has been frustrating, but we have remained fully engaged from the start, coordinating with Harto, relaying your concerns, and facilitating every solution offered.

We remain at your disposal should you have any further questions, and we thank you for your understanding.
