Was terrified calling them after reading all the negative reviews. Plucked up courage and called. Spoke to a lady called Kat, was so kind and understanding. set up payment plan. dd sent and confirmed and no shouting. Not sure if i just got lucky with agent but she was amazing.

This Company does not check the Address of its enforcement warning addressees. There appears to be no
address verification process!!!!!???
I have sent a formal complaint in an email to Overdales
Details of which include the erroneous use of my address and their lack of co-operation in explaining how this could possibly happen in an organisation of their status!

Being chased by these bullies who are acting on behalf of ID Mobile saying I owe money after saying 0.00 balance then after 3 months these bullies get in touch as now involving my solicitor to deal with these shambolic people as ive got all the chat transcription the lot...and don't send me an automated message i have sent you information by email

Another company sending out spurious letters to people scaring them into thinking they owe money. Well we don't and never have done.
This company prays on people like locusts and rats.
They sent false information about a company that was in my premises years ago and demanded I pay money despite me paying the electric company by direct debit!
They got a piece of my mind. Overdales have an appalling history so they got told to get lost and never call me again. Spoken with my electric supplier and they know nothing about this so I have asked for an internal investigation and reported this to the ICO.

Took payment twice in error. Waiting for refund.

Agreed Full payment by 26th April, however had some issues where MOT and needed to spend money on car, advised them of this beforehand, still made payments, they even acknowledged in a reply email that the agreement was 25th April where full payment needed to be made before a CCJ was filed, tried to make a payment this morning on their website and and could no longer make a payment as they have filed a CCJ against me. Will be taking copy of emails and making a complaint to FCA

Whoever just rang me got a right mouthful 😡 do not call me and speak down to me!!! Am struggling like most of us are try I was trying to sort out a payment and this thing was talking down to me!! Well do want you need to do now am not arsed you can’t hang me for it

Called to re-set up a payment plan that was previously in place after struggling to sort it via website spoke with a customer representative called Adam.
What shocking service and experience.
Grilled me for not being in touch sooner refused to help me set up payment plan
Was unbelievably smug/condescending (actually sounded proud to ask me about other missed payments) & sounded even more smug/condescending when he was mentioning bailiffs etc.

Will be going to the FCA to take this matter further.

Had a phone call with someone called Zane. He mentioned I owed some money. He said they were going to put a CCJ on me in five months. I tried to make an arrangement to make small payments to get the ball rolling until I could pay it off. He said it was totally unacceptable and then proceeded to inform me he was adding a CCJ instantly as he was being an ass**le about it and totally uncooperative about it and totally unhelpful whatsoever. Overdales must be scammers if that is the level of staff they have. Totally uncooperative, obstinate and obstructive in every thing I wanted to do.

I received a letter. I was so scared to ring, my mental health etc has taking such a downfall I just let the letters fester. To the point I now have a ccj against my name. I spoke to an absolute star called Shajid. Kept me at ease and I explained what's happened. They stopped the bailiffs, I gave a very small token amount to set a direct debit for next month. Set at what I can genuinely afford and going forward if in trouble no doubt they will work with me. Thank you. It's not an easy business debt recovery but they gave me respect and empathy. Good team you can't blame them for our own stupidity!

I received a letter stating I owed money from a CCJ, I had it explained to me, precisely and clearly.
No senstive information was asked for except those details they already had.
The young lady I spoke to was exceptionally helpful and understanding, given my circumstances.

Paid my CCJ off on the 18th of February, phoned a couple of days ago to get the ball rolling for my Certificate of Satisfaction to be done and they said they haven't received information about my CCJ being paid off although Lowell confirmed once it was paid the information was sent straight over.

I've now just sent an email saying if it's not sorted by the end of the 4th of March I'll be reporting it to The Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) and The Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA).

This is affecting my information as I'm going through a rental application currently and only found out about my CCJ on the 17th of February.

Oh also whoever I spoke to on the phone made out like I was being an inconvenience when asking about how the county court was being informed about my debt being settled. They literally sighed as soon as I asked them a question and my "account number" not being on the system but miraculously my account appearing once I gave my name and address etc...

It's really not that difficult to give advice or a reason behind why it's taken nearly 2 weeks to sort onto the system especially when if the County Court gets notified a certain way it only takes 48-72hrs to get on their system... And the agents at Lowell even said its done by the system due to the number of accounts they help daily instead of by writing to the courts as otherwise it takes 7 weeks...

Let's hope it's sorted by the end of the 4th otherwise I could be homeless thanks to them not pulling their finger out so my Credit report can be updated 🥲

Absolute scam, don’t have a scooby what they’re doing needs shutting down. Also Tia of you’re going to reply don’t reply with the following message -

If I could a Zero start I would.

I have just received a threatening letter, does not state what is is for , does not state previous address associated and does not state when it was for.

Letter states I have 7 days to Avoid Writ of Control.
It’s also states they wrote to me previously, and were instructed to have a ccj order transferred to a high court order, a gain I haven’t received A CCJ.

I going to call the citizen advice, about this letter

Beware! This company is a complete scam. I have never had any dealings with them, yet I received a threatening text claiming that an agent would visit me to recover £200 that I supposedly owed. This is nothing but an attempt to intimidate and extort money from people. Clearly, they have obtained phone numbers without consent and are using scare tactics to pressure innocent individuals into paying for something they don’t owe. Avoid this fraudulent company at all costs!

1 star because I can't give no stars , never heard of this company send me a threatening letter if I don't pay up or set up a direct debit they will send the boys around, I'm fighting cancer at the moment so these absolute cowboys will be no problem! You need to know the law to debt collecting as they clearly don't! However I do so bring it on send your collecting agents around I'm looking forwards to it , as I said this company is a total cowboy out fit see you in court lads, oh and don't bother with your standard reply to this review I will never contact you full stop.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Overdales Legal Ltd is nothing more than a glorified scam operation, masquerading as an "industry-leading law firm" while operating out of a PO BOX like a dodgy backstreet loan shark. No real office, no real accountability, and no real legal standing.

Let’s be very clear: Overdales is NOT independent. It is fully owned by Lowell, meaning this entire operation is a fraudulent racket where Lowell "buys" a so-called debt from itself, then gets its own in-house "law firm" (Overdales) to send out intimidating letters pretending to be a separate legal entity. Conflict of interest? Absolutely.

Their letters are a joke—unsigned, nameless, faceless, legally void threats, filled with misapplied laws and pathetic attempts at intimidation. They refuse to provide any legally required documents (like a Deed of Assignment or a lawful contract) because they either don’t have them or know they’re fraudulent. They try to bluff their way through legal claims, hoping people are too ignorant to challenge them.

NO wet-ink signatures.
NO human accountability.
NO legal standing.

Just threats, excuses, and deception.
They hide behind their PO Box, never picking up the phone when challenged, because they know they’re running a con. Their letters are filled with legally meaningless waffle, trying to scare people into paying debts that have either expired under the Limitation Act 1980 or were never lawfully assigned to them in the first place.

Their entire business model is based on deception, intimidation, and outright fraud. If you receive a letter from them, DO NOT be fooled. They have no lawful claim unless they provide original, unredacted legal documents—which they NEVER do.

Report them to the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), and Trading Standards. If enough people challenge their fraudulent tactics, maybe they'll finally be shut down.

horrible company dont reply to emails try to give you unacceptable payment plans then email horrible threats when it suits.update still no reply from emails.and after several more emails today being the 27 th feb still no reply.update set up a plan direct debit set up accepted now they want to change the plan as its not enough money quick enough !!?unbeievable

On the website it claims that I've set up payment plans and failed to pay them I've never set up a payment plan and the end date they have put is not of this year or any year I was alive they've put an end date of 1900 I wasn't even born then so how can the payment plan end in 1900 when the payment plan was set up acoding to thir records in 2024 ???

Claim I owe money for a company Ive never heard of. Zero communication with me before sending threatening email saying bailiff would be coming to collect a debt I do not owe. Clearly a dodgy scamming company... how have these people got a license to practice debt recovery? Ombudsman will be hearing about this. Also, who are you fooling with your fake 5 star reviews?
