Quick and efficient - very friendly and treated our dog well!

Can’t knock the service very helpful, quick and informative but have to give a low rating for the cost. Out of hours prices are criminal. £450 for a check over and an injection of metacam. And a £35 admin fee which I have no idea what for. Seems like the vets or the companies that own them are more interested in hitting sales quotas rather than helping animals. Will get to a point where owners won’t be able to afford to bring their animals in and they will ultimately suffer.

The nurses and the vet were great. However, I do think to charge 5 times more for a consultation on a public holiday is excessive and unfair. There would have been lots of animals in pain over the weekend as many would have not been able to afford £500 for an appointment for a smallish yet pressing issue. I think maybe twice the usual fee may have been fairer.

Just like to say a very big thanks to the emergency overnight staff who at 2 am took in our very ill Rabbit who tried their very hardest to save him but sadly unable to. the care and attention was exceptional both with their care for Gizmo and empathy for us. Thanks and best of luck with your marathon

The vet we saw was very helpful and fully explained the three treatment options available. I felt I had sufficient information to make a choice I was happy with, in what was a very worrying time.

We were very happy and relieved that the night nurse phoned us to say our dog wasn't settling and that we could come and take him home. He settled straight away at home and got a much needed good nights sleep for his road to recovery.

Very kind, nice and helpful staff very on it and don’t take long to explain what’s wrong with your pet

Prompt efficient and caring service

The vet was excellent and my dog was seen very quickly. However, the fees are extortionate and inflated charges for medication just seem greedy.

My dog became very ill (gastroenteritis) over Christmas and they saw her straight away and started giving her the care she needed. The vets/nurses involved with her care were all kind, knowledgable and reassuring at such a worrying time. She was able to come home Christmas Day to be with us. She is now doing well & making a full recovery. I can not thank them enough for taking such good care of her & for this amazing service being available.

The call handler and vet were very patient and kind, my husband and I were very anxious and upset.

The staff were lovely, we were seen quickly, and the waiting area was clean. Everything is good until you have to pay the bill. It is astronomical! All the positive reviews here are for dogs and cats which are almost always insured. When I got my rabbits, the vet fees (even out of hours) were reasonable, hence no insurance, however now the out of hours costs are so high there will definitely be people who have no choice but to allow their beloved pets to die. Possibly why both my recent visits had no waiting time at all. It isn’t ok it is like this. I am also unlikely to now be covered for stasis, a common rabbit issue, even if I had insurance. I’ve had two bills from two visits in three weeks, totalling £2200!!! I find it difficult to recommend Vets Now when the prices are so high. I wanted my rabbit kept in overnight, but was told it would push me into another seven hour time block. It seems charges are based on this, so even if you are there for only half an hour you are charged for seven. There has to be an option for a simple/quick procedure - a couple of injections/antibiotics prescription etc. that is simply billed by the hour, not seven!! Or pets will die.

The people i saw at Vets now were extremely kind, caring and compassionate at a very difficult and challenging time.

Avoid Vets Now (Bristol) at all costs if you are an exotic/small animal owner!
Misdiagnosed my guinea pig as having an inner ear infection/general infection when in fact my guinea pig was showing signs of a stroke. No after care advice provided on the symptoms of a stroke to look out for. My guinea pig went on to suffer a major stroke 2 days later and I had to make the devastating decision to have her euthanised. Raised a complaint which took them 35 days to respond, within that time frame you are specifically told not to call or chase their decision. Shocking vets would not recommend.

The emergency vets were amazing at gloucrster road in bristol. Seen to my kitten within an hour and they were really calm and reassuring.
