Sick of their lack of concern when needing the glasses adjusted! I am also sickened at rhe way my over $350. Prescription Sunglasses ruining! Two pair have become ABSOLUTELY RUBBISH!
My transitional prescription glasses are awful too! I wish the VA VCS were better, but they are not!

safety glasses

Went in for safety glasses. Good frame selection. Good pricing on the lenses. Process was straightforward. Angela helped me and she was excellent. Process was smooth and fast. I would buy again.

Associate Tammi at the Anthem store was…

Associate Tammi at the Anthem store was amazing in her effort to help me find another store that took my insurance. She literally spent 15 minutes calling different vision centers attempting the make sure they honored my insurance and that I could get an appointment that same day. Haven't met with an Associate who displayed so much care for the customer as this young lady did. Just truly an unbelievable experience and great to know there are still some people working out there that actually do their jobs the way they should be done. Thank you Tammi

Walmart Vision Center lenses peeling after only 6–7 months

I purchased my eyeglasses at Walmart Vision Center and this is the second time I am facing the exact same problem. After about 6 to 7 months of normal use, the anti-reflective coating starts peeling off the lenses.

This is very frustrating because I take good care of my glasses — cleaning them properly and storing them safely — yet the lenses do not last. Eyeglasses are an expensive and essential product, and it is unacceptable to need replacement lenses in such a short period of time.

I kindly request that Walmart take responsibility for this recurring defect by offering a free replacement of the lenses or providing a permanent solution to prevent this issue from happening again.

I am not happy

I am not happy! Their first lab could not do the prescription they sent it to another lab without telling me. They need to send peoples specialty glasses to a more prompt lab! If I had not needed them I would not have went and I would have went to a more reliable, faster eye glass place. Do not go there.

Be careful!

I purchased prescription glasses and prescription sunglasses, relying on the quotes provided by the "experts" after checking my insurance and co-pays. I paid 50% when I placed my order and the remaining 50% when I picked them up.

A month later, I received a statement indicating that I owed an additional $50 because they hadn't charged me the co-pay. Was this a mistake, or was it due to a lack of knowledge? I dislike unexpected charges, that's why I pay the full amount. I trusted employees who apparently weren't knowledgeable about their jobs.

If you decide to shop there, ensure that all the numbers are accurate. For me, this was my first and last visit to this so-called "great" place, which ultimately disappoints its customers.

Skip Walmart for glasses

First, my prescription is not a good fit for me. The eye doctor did not take her time with fine tuning the prescription. Also, I mentioned several times that I needed something specifically for driving. Unfortunately, since I don't need to wear them constantly I falsely assumed that I was in an adjustment period. By the time I was sure that the problem was the prescription, it was too late to take them back. Then, I get a bill in the mail basically doubling my co-pay. I walked out of the store paying $170 then received a letter claiming, due to a mistake made at the store, I owe them another $148. Definitely do not recommend. California, Maryland Store.

Less than zero

I realistically could copy and paste other reviews but ill use my own. May 2025 I had an eye exam at vision works louisville ky because the only walmart near me with a doctor is out of my way and he only works there a couple days each week. I had my eyeglass made at walmart I dont have insurance so I paid out of pocket. When I went to pick up my eyeglasses per usual they could not adjust the correctly mind you that this is a theme at walmart. Because of the lens features and affordable frames ive been using walmart for many years however now im to the breaking point. Every time I get new glasses no matter how many times I go back they can not adjust my glasses this is 100 percent constant but this time it was different. I was belittled and humiliated beyond imagination. I went back just a couple days ago to get yet another adjustment I told the employee that it seemed that the panatomic tilt was off and here was her repose "your what ? ,what is that what are you talking about" she asked another employee "do you know what he's talking about?" He the other employee said " i don't know what he means". This went on for 5 minutes all i heard was "we don't know what you mean" . At that point I felt like a five year old being scolded my his mother because I couldn't get my favorite toy! . This glasses RX was checked twice by the doctor that did the eye test and twice by walmart the eyeglass were redone however I can't see every thing is mashed together another walmart tried to adjust them they couldn't either. They RX Has to be way off or the adjustment is way off . So the bottom line is walmart can not adjust eyeglass they have no patience with people they belittle customers in front of other customers so before my 60 days is up I will get a refund and never never go back to walmart vision center again. Horrible Eye Exam

The sales ladies who work the front were great, but Dr Drake Kaminski who was suppose to check my eyes was horrible. He had me look through the lens that he had set and then told me to read the top line, which I did. I told him they were blurry and he said that it was fine. Wrote a prescription after he charged me $110. His exam of my eyes took less then 5 minutes. When my glasses came in they were worst then the ones I already had. The male assistant working out front told me this was normal. Like a fool I believed him, but 3 days later I called back and said I can't see with these glasses. Was told there eye doctor only comes in once a month and that I would have to see him again. When I did see Dr kaminski he said he likes to write prescription to what he feels the eyes needs. He took a few more minutes to exam my eyes but never choose lens I could actually see clearly through, then gave me a new prescription and said if this one doesn't work we'll try again. I ended up going else where, to an eye doctor with good reviews, which actually took the time to examine my eyes and wrote me the proper prescription. Took that back to Walmart and had them fix my glasses to that prescription and now see fine. The glasses and frame part of Walmart Vision Centre is great. The Eye exams are not.

Please check your options before going here. I got a pair of glasses I paid half four in my insurance paid the rest for and when I got the glasses back I had to have them adjusted three times and they still was sliding and falling off of my face I couldn't wear them where they were supposed to be so to push them up to even stay on my face I was looking out of my bifocal when I needed to be looking out of my near distance. I take them back in there and I'm told that it could take up to 8 weeks for my insurance to get reimbursed so the best I could do would be to buy another pair of glasses and get a discount when I just could have returned that pair and got my money back that day and took it and applied it towards the new pair of glasses that I was going to end up buying anyway so they get me they don't honor their return policy within the 60-day time frame you have to go file and complaints to be able to get anything done which is ridiculous and it takes the manager weeks to get a hold of you until you have to call back to corporate to find out what's going on. I don't have money to waste and knowing that I could have got my money back that day and applied it towards the glasses that I ended up buying anyway furiates me and knowing that they're trying to drag this out until the 60-day period hits so I can't exchange them makes me even madder than that. My insurance company said that there's no way that it would take 8 weeks for them to get the reimbursement Maybe 30 days but it would be 45 at the most which didn't matter at all because I wanted my money back to apply towards a new pair of glasses. Now my uveitis is all flared up again and I have to have a special eye doctor looking and checking my eyes and I will probably end up with a totally new prescription anyway but it just makes me heated that I could have got my money back that day I didn't have to wait for the reimbursement from my insurance this is ridiculous if you want somebody that owns their policies this is not the place to go

Zero stars is what I want to give

Zero stars is what I want to give. Glasses had to be sent back twice because they were wrong. Not the doctor's fault, he tested and confirmed that they were made wrong. When making the initial purchase, the sales person tried to get me to purchase more expensive frames because my insurance would cover it. I stayed with the cheaper, now I got a bill for fifty bucks because the insurance didn't even cover all the lower cost. Meanwhile, the glasses are still wrong. After years of using Walmart, I'm done.

Called to schedule an appt., couldn’t get out of work for my previous appt and the person that was going to schedule me was very rude about it so I told her I’d take my business elsewhere. Very unprofessional. Did not one thing to keep my business.

The representative was very nice and so…

The representative was very nice and so was the frames and she did her best, otherwise I would have given them zero stars. However, I cannot see out of my glasses. Who is to blame? I'm not happy with my glasses and I was told to put them on until I get used to them...even though they would cause discomfort and blurry.
So I have to go somewhere else I guess.

When I got my glasses

When I got my glasses, I asked them to check and make sure what my insurance covered. I chose a pair of glasses. They came back and said you owe this amount so I paid it in full two months later I get an $80 bill their reasoning is, they said the insurance did not cover it, what is this a bait and switch type of deal here they sit down they tell you would you like this in your lens? Would you like that in your lens insurance will cover it yeah, right a straight lied to me buyers beware I will never go to Walmart. I Center again not to mention the bad service .

Wore glasses 60 years was told I scratched my lenses by cleaning them and the Walmart in Bryant AR wouldn’t stand by them. That’s total baloney I bought the anti scratch and all I can say is they are cheaply made and they have lost my business I was a week past 60 days when I tried to get them to honor them. My advice is do not buy your glasses there

8 Visits for two pairs of lenses

I had to make 8 visits to get lenses for two pair of glasses. I live over 8 miles from the store. On 4/14/24 - eye test and ordered two pair of lenses for my two frames. I was there over 2 hours with 2-3 people measuring the lenses and my eyes and I didn’t even pick out new frames. About 3 days later, a lens fell out and I returned to have it replaced. A few days later, a text was received that the lenses were in. Lenses were placed in one frame and found that I couldn't see. Told to come back when other lenses come in to see if same problem, which happened. Scheduled another eye exam for 4/18/24, prescription updated (why didn't catch the first time?) and reordered a different type of lenses. On 5/1/24, lenses for the sunglass frames were good. One lens for other frame was not cut correctly and after 4 people working on it, I was told to come back "tomorrow" for a different person to try. So on 5/2/24, I did and she couldn't fit it in either and remeasured and reordered. I was told that they would CALL me. On 5/9/24, I happened to be in store and asked if they were in, yep! I didn’t receive a phone call and the text showed up on 5/10/24. A lot of time wasted to get two pairs of lenses put in my frames. Wausau, WI.

I went back to Walmart

I went back to Walmart. I purchased the warranty. I wrote a very bad review. Well they went defective again. 14 days in the hospital Did not help. The manager did an override. I was shocked. I wanted to let people know the manager was very accommodate.

Useless Warranty

I paid for non-glare and scratch resistant lenses. They were both slightly scratched within two months. It was another three months before I went back. Replacement denied because “they don’t know what I do with my glasses at home.” “What do you clean them with?” I point to the Zeiss lens wipes I bought there! I also used the spray and microfiber cloth sample they had given me when I received my glasses. “Oh well!” Unbelievable! I had had several pairs of Walmart glasses in past years until my insurance changed. Now with no insurance I returned. These are the worst lenses I’ve had in 30 years and they will not honor their warranty.

Go elsewhere!

Bought lenses and frames for about $250 with a prescription. Within 2 weeks the lenses were beyond scratched up and couldn’t see. Used the insurance to replace. Now a month later they are scratching up again from just using a fiber cloth to clean. Very cheap and poorly made lenses. Looks as I’ll have to go somewhere legit for lenses and hopefully be able to keep the frames. Do not recommend at all!
