Yellow jersey were easy enough to deal with. However ive had to submit a claim for a delayed flight. At first csa refused the claim after a 3 week wait. Despite me giving them the evidence from easy jet on the reason for the delay, meeting the criteria fkr a claim. Ive asked twice to be escalated.Now they wont respond. Called and told they will come back in 5 days. That was 3 weeks ago. Probebly wont use again for this reason.

Avoid at all costs, they outsource their claims to another company and they are terrible to deal with. The process is painfully slow and I have still not been reimbursed for my claim more than 4 weeks later. There is no communication with the secondary company and it is difficult to get a hold of them and when you do it is pointless. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Helpful and straightforward when I had an injury which stopped me participating in a triathlon I had previously booked.

After my bike crash I had to be operated on my shoulder and have to make physiotherapy for a long time to get back to my bike.

I had my freehub fall apart about 20 miles from home. After a £62 taxi ride I thought that was it until I remembered that I have cycle insurance through my Rapha membership.

The process to submit my claim via Yellow Jersey was incredibly straight forward and obviously the best bit - they actually said they would pay! My standard experience with insurance companies is protracted haggling over every penny, so to get this resolved fully, quickly and painlessly was a revelation.

Never claimed in 2 years so can't comment on that aspect. Now there's much more competitiveness in the market highlights that this company's prices are now ridiculous and just not worth it. However I am really irritated about the DNA+ kit I received when I first took out my policy only to find out it is not transferable on termination of the policy. They think that because they state that they will pay for the DNA+ database to be maintained while I have a policy with them, that is enough info for me to know it could not be transferred at the end of the policy. The attitude of the customer service rep I discussed this just confirmed I made the right decision to leave. So I'm left with a bike covered in dots that are not invisible in all areas (e.g. on matt carbon such as wheels and handlebars) that are just useless after you leave (and obviously cannot be removed). At least be honest and highlight this up front...

[Edit post their reply below] I never asked you to continue to pay for the kit, you're just making that up... But thanks for including the statement from your website that proves you do hide this information which is my whole point. Oh dear...

Everything was perfect. I had my money back with no problems and only in a couple of days.

Yellow Jersey supported me effeciently through my claim following a cycle crash.
My bike was fully repaired and lost race entry fees reimbursed.
My claims handler responded promptly and I have renewed my policy.

My claim was dealt with extremely promptly and met in full. My claims specialist, Kien Dang, was efficient, friendly and helpful. They ask for quite a lot of documentation (I was glad that I always photograph my bike, locked up, when I leave it somewhere), but given this was a high value claim (newish electric bike) nothing unreasonable

Yellow Jersey used CSAL (Claims Settlement Agency Limited) to 'settle' (avoid paying) my lost luggage claim. I took insurance for the 1 week's travel in the USA.
For the 1 week period of insurance my luggage was lost, I subsequently bought the essentials (clothes/ toiletries) & hired a bike + wetsuit, as I was in the USA to participate in a long distance triathlon.
Yellow Jersey wanted nothing to do with my claim enquiries & directed me to CSAL.
CSAL did their worst in customer relations, particularly with long delays in replying to emails (2-7 weeks!) & to do their best to avoid paying out.
I sent my 'lost luggage' claim in, only to receive a partial payment for bike hire (which didn't even cover the USA bike hire fee).
As my luggage arrived 3 weeks after the holiday had ended & I was back in the UK, CSAL treated the claim as 'delayed luggage', despite me having no luggage for the period of insurance.
As a person, who has home, car & travel insurance, I've not made any claims since 2008 (storm damage to home etc.).
I believe CSAL have deliberately used delaying tactics & other methods to avoid a paying my lost luggage claim.
Possible future customers beware ..

My luggage (1 suitcase & 1 bike-box) never arrived, was initially delayed, then sent on next day's flight, so far so good.
But luggage never arrived at my hotel, it appeared to be delayed/lost at the US airport.
I bought the basics of what I needed. As I was also participating in a long distance triathlon, I also hired equipment (bike & wetsuit) I finished the event (on ill fitting hired gear) & our group moved onto another city within the USA.
I kept in contact with the (excellent) staff at the 1st hotel, & 3 weeks after returning to the UK , the staff rejected the attempted courier delivery of my luggage, that had been presented to my hotel (I had checked out weeks prior) . It then took only a week for the luggage to return from the USA to my UK home.
It is months after the event that contact has finally stopped from CSAL & they consider the matter closed & I remain £1250 out of pocket.

Great experience. Fast response and processing. Every insurance company should be such a pleasure to work with.
