I would confirm everything whay have been told about them in others 1start reviews.

They charge they commission, HMRC reject an application and Aston Berry left me to deal with it.

Email correspondences take months with no results.

Bad experience

Do not use this company. Their 'compliance dept' will say you have a justified R&D claim, submit the claim on your behalf but not show you what they are claiming for, charge their commission then you are left to justify to HMRC when the claim is rejected for something you had no idea was being presented on your behalf. This is true for a number of companies we have spoken to so this isn't a 1-off experience. Their guarantee isn't worth the email it's written on you have to take on HMRC yourself which I'm sure nobody wants. We should have known if it sounds too good to be true it generally is. Conned!

Just been told by one of their team that this company is just in the process of liquidation so be very careful

AVOID AVOID AVOID. This company are completely incompetent, they will do all they can to claim money back but when something is a miss they run for the hills. DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM you have been warned.

Avoid at all costs, told me I was able to claim in r&d, filed the account,
Then I had hmrc ringing me saying I was not eligible to make the r&d claim and to withdraw it immediately unless I wanted the fraud team looking into it.

I’ve told Aston berry this and all they have done is invoiced me for 8k.

The guy who filled my claim basically told me everything to say to make the claim pass through.

Bartosz is unique is the discharge of his services. His professional skills are bonus to the organisation. The processes are straight forward. Statements are well scripted and presented, explained in professional manners.

BART seems very good at his job, I was concerned at the standard of the report he wrote but went with it anyway under “the guarantee”
He told me I’d be paid after it was submitted, or after an appeal under the guarantee….. now after that it’s been re:submitted and nothing from the guarantee. I’ve been passed onto the customer services department now- and they’ve told him not to chase my claim anymore internally!!!
The 1st part Hmrc refunds is any outstanding corporation tax… they seem quite willing to do this but then the claim gets stopped further along, the first time this happened Aston berry didn’t ask for nothing- now it’s been resubmitted and I’ve temporarily been refunded they’re chasing me for a payment towards this- yet won’t understand this CT will be revoked further along when the claim gets rejected again and where their guarantee should kick in
I was told initially I should have money within a couple of months….its now been 4 and nothing but stress….
And after reading a few of these other comments now I’m going to be double checking my hmrc account today and maybe getting my solicitor involved!!!

I personally wouldn’t bother to anyone thinking of this process…..

At first I was extremely cautious that a tax refund could even be possible so I wasn't interested in the phone calls but once I was put at ease and spoke to my accountant I went with it. I so wished I’d never been recommended this company, they ask to access your HMRC account to check updates on claims then as soon as any money is paid they quickly change the payment details so it can be withdrawn into there account.
Loads of calls and emails sent trying to sort but nothing ever happens
The ‘insurance’ they ask you to take is a joke too as they won’t ever pay out , my claims been going on over 6 months and no closer to finding a result than when I started!! They’ve even taken 2k hmrc paid out then recalled they now want it back so I’ll be left out of pocket , AVOID at all cost be warned
