An amazing company
What a great rail journey. When trying to get to grips with the rail passes, etc, I received amazing support from everyone I spoke to at Byway and I certainly made several phone calls! Myself and fellow travelers would highly recommend Byway.

Highly recommend
We had an itinerary, our tickets for various trains and buses and accommodation booked. We turned up and everything was just there. It ran so smoothly with no hitches and we knew we had contacts with byway had anything gone wrong. I highly recommend.

Nordic family trip
From the very 1st email to the last what's app , Byway have been clear. Presice, and had made the holiday a great experience, to stays in Copenhagen, stockholm and Osnabruck. We would certainly go on another rail trip with these guys. We trusted there judgement on hotels and trains and we cant fault them. Well done

Wonderful Christmas rail holiday.
Byway made us an individual itinerary and the process was really easy. They suggested a couple of stops that we would not have thought of allowing us to visit places we wouldn't have. The hotels were all good, fairly central but never too far from the stations. Their WhatsApp helpline staff were amazing when we did have a delay helping to book us on another connection very quickly. We loved watching the wonderful scenery as we went across Europe. We will definitely have more holidays with them.

Excellent custom trip that went through…
Excellent custom trip that went through several iterations to meet our needs with professional customer service throughout. They made it so easy to travel without flying and took all the hassle out of trains and changes. I actually wouldn't think of travelling this way again without byway it makes the whole thing so much less stressful. Really good quirky hotel picks that were all characterful and nice to stay in with excellent locations

Won’t forget our epic trip!
This is a very overdue review from a long weekend weaving our way back from Italy to London via Switzerland and France. Absolutely epic trip which we couldn’t and wouldn’t have done without Byway. It was so last minute coming across you guys (thank you ‘man in Seat 61’!), I was completely overwhelmed trying to plan the route myself and then suddenly I didn’t need to. Everything worked perfectly. We absolutely LOVED the places you guided us to and the hotels were gorgeous. And the communication system available to help with any queries or questions en route is just brilliant. I can’t actually thank you enough which is why all these months later I still sing your praises and had to write this review. You guys are fabulous. Thank you Byway!

Excellent help with planning a train trip in Europe across 3 countries. Hotel accommodations they recommended all very good. Enabled us to visit places that we would not have seen if we had flown.

This Company is so professional & all…
This Company is so professional & all the staff so helpful & friendly! You really feel they have your back in case of any problem that should arise. They don’t mind any phone call, they provided training for newbies & I can’t recommend enough! We’re now hooked on train travel because of them - it’s so easy once you’re there. Loved knowing we had emergency numbers etc in case we hit a problem! They’re full of hints, tips, places to visit etc - just brilliant!

Easy booking process
Easy booking process. Whole journey planned and booked from London to Zurich. When we encountered delay due to a broken down train, Byway were just a WhatsApp message away to reassure us there would not be a problem with a late arrival at our hotel.

Interrailing across France and Spain
Our trip by train through France and Spain was well planned and reasonably priced. We had no problems enroute and our hotels were welcoming, clean and perfectly located. When we decided to change our itinerary, Byway supported us straightaway and kept the cost of the change to a minimum. We've had a beautiful adventure, one to remember. Great trip
This was our first trip with Byway and we’ll definitely be doing another one. Everything was very well organised and the instructions for the trains and the hotels easy to follow. When we needed advice on something and sent Byway a WhatsApp message they responded very quickly. All three hotels we stayed in were excellent and the suggestions Byway made for things to do and restaurants were useful.

Excellent company - customer service, products and backup all excellent - they take all the hassle out of booking a trip and even provide emergency support if anything should go wrong. I recently went on a 12 day adventure around Europe for a special birthday. I originally contacted Byway and spoke to James and outlined what I had hope to gain from my trip. He presented me with an itinerary which I accepted. BOY DID HE MEET MY BRIEF! We had an amazing trip, every aspect of it was considered and we are so appreciative. We were newbies to train travel and we didn't have any glitches. We saw some amazing church buildings, we enjoyed parks, gardens and a variety of presentations of water. Byway are brilliant!
I have no hesitation in recommending Byway and will use them again for sure! We had a wonderful 9 day trip by train exploring the French and Italian Riviera, with very well chosen accommodation at each stop. The itineraries proposed by Byway can be adjusted according to your own preferences so it’s really fun to plan the trip but not too overwhelming either. Excellent support throughout - Byway are on hand before and during the trip to deal with any problems with trains or hotels which they do very efficiently but also in a very friendly, upbeat way. Perfect blend of flexibility and freedom and support and guidance when you need it. Loved everything about this trip and can’t wait to plan another one!

Excellent trip around Italy seeing everything from "Italian Job" Turin in the North, to ancient Pompeii Naples in the South. Everything had been well organised and thought about.

Slovenia by train
My sister and I (63 and 65) travelled for 10 days around Austria, Slovenia and Italy; it was a real adventure. Byway planned our trip based on our wishlist and we were thrilled with their choices - 1) Well chosen hotels not too far from the station so that we could drop off our stuff easily 2) Great ideas based on local knowledge for things to see and do - e.g. jazz at Ljubjana castle 3) Very quick responses to our mails in the lead up to the holiday. We will certainly be using Byway again. Many thanks to the very efficient and friendly team.
