I cannot get hold of Podpoint

I cannot get hold of Podpoint. I have sent several service request via email..no response tried their customer services number (supposedly 24/7) no one answers. You simply cannot get hold of them.

No response from customer service

I recently had solar panels installed and my pod point stopped charging my car (overnight). I contacted customer service through the website and no one contacted me me.. so 2 days later I called the customer service line. 40 minutes at number 1 in the queue before some idiot who would not let me get a word in edgeways answered. I had to go to the charger to do a reset (despite doing this 3-4 times my self previously)... I have a poor mobile phone signal no landline so I gave the chap my number to call me back in case I got cut off - I did no call back.... SO later that day I called again and was subjected to that dreadful hold music but only for 35 minutes this time - I got through to a useful person _ Mark I think his name was. He 'fixed' my problem with a settings update - low and behold my car charged there and then and also charged overnight.

Since then my car has not charged, I tried to call again and after 30 minutes at number 1 I have e-mailed them again - still no contact...

I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND PodPoint to anyone - If it wasn't a costly thing to do I would bin my current charger and get a different brand. I am very lucky that I have a hybrid, anyone with a full EV would be stuck not able to drive their vehicle.

Pod point update from last week

Update from last week, phoned pod point today 03/03/25, told still waiting for schedule team to allocate appointment, asked for manager call back as the situation is completely unacceptable, you’ve guessed it right still no appointment and in keeping with the poor customer service no call back from the manager.

Extremely Poor Customer Service

Please read carefully, I’ve had the displeasure of having to contact Padpoint as my Charger failed whilst charging my car, had a service call booked for Thursday 09:00 - 16:00 (27/02/25) the engineer failed to turn up and didn’t have the decency to call and keep us updated, I’ve spent an average of 2hours waiting alt place number 1, to then have to speak with the customer service team whom seem to think its funny, staff on the phone line are completely incompetent they are more interested in sending emails to each other trying to find out why the engineer never turned up rather then focus on resolving the issue by sending the engineer out ASAP, the service /repair, now over two days over due leaving me without a charger and as of 18:00 hours today and over 4 hours on the phone still have no appointment to repair my charger.

**Please don’t buy your home charger from PodPoint***

It is clear that pod point make every…

It is clear that pod point make every effort to prevent any communication from their customers or to pay their bills.
All numbers are automated and no one responds to simple email requests.
Their financial performance is in the news also so clearly something needs to drastically change

Faulty product and awful customer service. Avoid.

Charger cable stuck in my home charger. Pod point are doing nothing about it. Customer service is awful, never reply or action the fault. Wait on the phone for ages, caller number 1 for most of that time. Shocking company and product.
AVOID.

15 mins wait so far as number one in queue, customer service is useless. Podpoint won't release the charger cable, we've only used it twice, it stuck the first time too. Jaguar sent an engineer to our house and he was completely stumped. Podpoint on the wall is now loose. Avoid!

Podpoint not Charging

I had been having some severe issues with a pod point that was already installed in the house that I moved into, first two calls were helpful but didn’t resolve the issue, 3rd call to a customer service agent Peter was 1st class, Peter read over all notes and went through every system possible, amending ownership, troubleshooting etc until he had narrowed all eventualities and gave me the next step forward which was diagnosing the absence of a CT clamp, Fast forward a few days until one arrived and an installer got to work and after 3 months all is now parking as it should be! Peter, thank you for getting this over the line 5 ⭐️ from me !

Never answer the phone

Despite trying to call at various times throughout a working day 020 7247 4114 NEVER answer the phone - 45 minutes at number 1 in a queue. They took my installation money and never answered an email or phone call since. I cannot believe a modern company can survive with such appalling customer service

I think one star is generous

I think one star is generous - week 4 of no contact from pod point - not been able to use my charger since December: refusing to refund, the engineer can’t fix it and nobody bothers to call back
I really wouldn’t recommend this company

Endless endless issues with Podpoint’s…

Endless endless issues with Podpoint’s agents/follow-up/ charger etc
They shut your issue/complaint down asap so each time u have to start over, submit charger details etc as they can’t find any record of u despite endless conversations
Hopeless

As a business requirement pod point have been a total disaster. Extremely poor customer service and a don't care attitude. Causing my dealership some many problems, how we the UK ever get to electric vehicle levels when pod point doesn't respond

My pod point wouldn’t work. The help line was hopeless. Could never speak to anyone who would accept they could help themselves. Always referring me to someone who would call me back. Never did.

Recently had a new pod point installed

Recently had a new pod point installed. Consistently loses connection to the wifi (the router is 4m away). Everytime I go to charge I need to reconnect it, and it sometimes won’t. I reconnected it the other day, set to charge at night, looked later and it had disconnected and started charging at peak rate. NOT A GOOD CHARGER, personally I would go somewhere else if I knew.

Very very bad

Very very bad. They don’t solve your problems. They leave you without charge and don’t care. Technical support never rings you back. People you talk to are awful and don’t care to help. I am now changing suppliers. They don’t deserve a one star!!

It was better app when you can add your own amount to charge vehicle at lidl supermarket until they combined with lidl app not many people uses because it holds £45 reserve and if you lucky you might get it back in 20 min but it could take longer maybe the next day....or even a week imagine if you have bills to pay how you suppose to charge vehicle... it was much better before when it was standalone app for pod point minimum was £5 charge then

This company is one of the worst I have tried to deal with. They do not respond to emails, and everything pushes you back to their ai online support and is not helpful. I contacted sales in the end to get a response, they are answering these phone lines! I had an apology and I sent information as they requested however since then absolutely nothing. I am now trying to contact the sales team again so I can actually talk to somebody but now been held in a long queue. It is an impossibility to get to talk to somebody who can action anything. Be very wary before you order from Pod Point their are other providers out there and I would suggest to anybody to use them.

6 months and 5 visits later and still not working

Pod point are impossible to get through to by phone and incredibly slow to respond to email plus do not follow up with actions they agree.

They use subcontractors who are illinformed by pod point and the subcontractors have expressed frustration at pod point too. They just don't do what they say they will. Are disorganised have sent wrong / unsuitable equipment / faulty equipment time after time.

We have had 5 visits over 6 months, we have to continually chase for action and still our 22KW charger at over £1800 does not charge above 4KW.

I'm at the point of taking external action to resolve as they are not compentent, possibly not resourced enough to deal with the demand, following historic good reviews.
.

My advice is spend your money elsewhere and ignore the historic good name.
