Slow charges and poor service

Pod point are the provider for the electric charging points in my residential complex . For nearly a year they have been running at speeds of 1kw - 1.5kw , when contacting podpoint they say they have put the chargers on a lower speed setting and will look into it , but never send anyone to do maintenance on the chargers , but yet they still want to charge you for 1.5 kw speed! The other charges within a reasonable distance to my house are again podpoint charges and they have placed them in a car park which has parking restrictions, so again this is useless. I am a mother of a child with complex needs who has various hospital appointments plus work to attend each week , and am finding it near impossible to charge the car at home or close to home . This simply isn’t good enough

Failed after 3 years, their advice is "Buy a new one"

I had a tethered unit installed 3 years and 3 weeks ago, 16 months of which it wasn't used at all. It failed last week, no power at all, and Podpoints attitude is tough! Just buy a new one from us.

**UPDATE**

Pod point did eventually come out and fix the problem for free, but their so called techs failed to notice the problem despite being sent detailed photos, and video. The electrician pointed out that the issue should have been obvious to anyone trained to diagnose these things, and he had it repaired and tested in 10 minutes.

Shocking!!

Shocking!!! Do not use this company….impossible to get hold of once they take your money.

They took payment then an additional payment as said it needed an extra man to support with the install as needed to connect electric via the loft. However since they took payment I can’t get hold of them via email or phone. Oddly was able to get email correspondence back before payment.

Avoid at all costs!

AVOID USING PODPOINT

The worst company ever, most of their public chargers are out of order and their app doesn't show all the charging points. It's also impossible to talk to any of the support team on the phone. Avoid using them

Do not use this company! AVOID!

The multiple request for pictures and information to even set up an installation should have been my first indication to avoid this company. Pod Point seems to have a general reluctance to send an engineer to its customers.

Since installation (which eventually occurred and went smoothly on the day), I have put up with a faulty device which fails to consistently charge my car. This has cost me money, time and upset.

Pod Point customer service are NOT helpful as instead of replacing what they know to be a faulty device, they have insisted on a series of 'fixes' which never actually work.

I have requested that they remove their device and issue a refund so that I can move to a reputable company that would provide a working device and better customer service.

Suffice to say that I am furious at the hoops I've been made to jump through after paying so much money for a shoddy piece of equipment.

Run away from this company

Run away from this company, the worst customer service ever. just call their help centre and choose existing customer home charger pending installation. and the line will cut off. you have to cheat the system to speak to someone in the company. I ordered my home charger paid fully 3 months ago, and until now they did not install the charger. could not speak with any of their company managers all of their agents tell you unfortunately you can't . there is no words to tell you how bad their customer service . Not even one phone call to apologies for the delay or follow up or date when the installation will be . After I managed to speak to one of their agents she transferred me to someone else the line cut off. I called back 12 times to speak with any of there agents I couldn't get through. A frightening experience.

Awful company

I have been repeatedly failed by this dreadful company. Accordingly I wish to cancel my order with them, to return the equipment supplied and be provided with a full refund amounting to £1614 paid. Even worse than this their contact form DOES NOT WORK as it refuses to accept my email address and first name although these details have been correctly supplied . I pointed this problem out to them but THEY HAVE DONE NOTHING TO CORRECT THE FAULT

The absolute worst company to try and…

The absolute worst company to try and deal with ever.
They eventually answer the phone but are totally useless and do not have a clue or give a stuff.

Rarely ever respond to an email, on hold for about 1 hour every call to then be cut off or talk to someone that doesn't know why you have been put through to them.

Avoid this company at all costs, as it will cost you ....

Rubbish customer service

Rubbish customer service. Takes days to respond to email and phoning them with the rate they progress with calls in a queue suggests only one person is manning the phones.

Two stars as the operatives that I…

Two stars as the operatives that I eventually speak to are human and pass on messages to non a customer facing ‘success’ team
That’s where it stops and after reading all of the negative comments in relation to this company…. We are probably all wasting our time reviewing it as they continue to offer an appalling service
A PodPoint was installed and then after a number of requests commissioned
Then nothing!
We have discussed activation on six occasions and had the same reply every time
‘We will pass the info on to our non customer facing success team to get the unit activated and keep you informed when we get some information’
The ‘out’ is…. If they don’t get any information…. They won’t get back.
Been waiting a month now for the point to go active ….
Pretty useless really
Frightened to think what may happen when they switch it on…..if they switch it on!

PosPoint and Audi DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!

If you are thinking about purchasing or leasing an EV don’t opt for Audi or PodPoint! A year of issues that they both acknowledge are related to their products but are still no closer to rectifying. For a 3rd time this week my car has failed to charge more than 1-2% which is less than useless!They are happy to take your money and receive the multiple emails and calls you repeatedly make but make very little if any attempts to provide a resolution. I would have given 0 stars but the system does not allow for that.

AWFUL

AWFUL. AWFUL. AWFUL. Preserve your mental health by avoiding. Lots of promises for call backs. Nothing in reality. Nothing at all. BMW currently offer free Pod Point 7 kw charger and installation. Don’t be enticed. It’s not worth it. This company is as awful as they get. Avoid.

Appalling end to end experience

Appalling end to end experience, except they are very good at the sales process and taking your money.
After waiting over weeks to get the installation done, it took 2 days of chasing to get the pod to actually start working.
And even now it wont charge above 4.2kw. But I spent a small fortune buying the expensive version ! Oh what a fool I was. WARNUING- go anywhere else, literally anyone but Podpoint.

All round terrible customer experience

What an appalling outfit. If you get the right person, the customer service is reasonable, but there's a lack of customer issue ownership most of the time. They're very pleasant on the phone, but then nothing happens!

We realised we had a problem with the wifi connection, when PodPoint tried to change a setting remotely following solar panel installation. PodPoint then told us the unit had not been connected to wifi for the last TWO YEARS! Why this fact has only just emerged is beyond me. I suspect they wanted to get me out of the three-year warranty period, so they could then charge £190 for an out-of-warranty call-out.

I duly paid the money, and after many phone calls, a time was arranged.

Yesterday the engineer came, told me it needed a new PCB (another £410 that needed to be paid immediately!!), fitted it and then (surprise, surprise) couldn't connect it to the wifi. He said it must be a faulty PCB, but it's a bit of a coincidence that we still have the same wifi problem we started with.

I had been dealing with someone in particular in the technical team (apparently, my account manager, I discovered today - who knew?). He didn't respond, even though I copied the chief executive.

All round terrible customer experience.
