Fantastic Service
My process was managed by Jake Clark. Really can't thank him enough for his professionalism throughout. He went out if his way to ensure I got the right package to suit my business and in this day and age that goes a long way to gaining and keeping my trust. I would definitely recommend.

Avoid. Absolutely shocking experience.
I would strongly advise other businesses to think very carefully before signing up with Waste Managed.
My experience has been a complete nightmare from almost the beginning. Collections were repeatedly missed, rubbish was left piling up and I spent an unreasonable amount of time calling, emailing and complaining about a service I was paying for but was not receiving properly.
I formally complained about two weeks of missed collections and then gave written notice to terminate the agreement because of the repeated service failures.
The business later closed completely. I provided Waste Managed with independent evidence confirming the closure, which they accepted, and I was told the account could be closed.
Then, all of a sudden, instead of simply closing the account and resolving the complaint, I am being told I supposedly owe £576.30, with an offer to reduce it to £390.30.
How does that make sense?
They accepted that the business had closed, yet invoices were still being raised for service periods after the business was no longer trading, including charges running into September and October.
There is also an unresolved refund issue. I had already challenged a £186 payment and requested it back. Instead, credits were placed on the account and then largely swallowed up by further charges rather than the money simply being returned to me.
So after repeated missed collections, formal complaints, a termination request, closure of the business and proof of closure being accepted, I am now somehow being chased for hundreds of pounds.
In my experience, the whole situation feels like a complete rip-off.
What is particularly frustrating is the apparent lack of responsibility for the original service failures. There seems to be endless attention given to invoices and collecting money, but nowhere near the same urgency when the rubbish was actually supposed to be collected.
I have had to keep records of everything, repeatedly explain the same situation, send proof, challenge invoices and spend hours dealing with something that should have been straightforward.
My advice to any small business:
Read every single line of their contract before signing. Photograph every missed collection. Keep every email.
Check every invoice and every credit. Do not rely on telephone conversations — get everything in writing.
Based on what I have personally experienced, I would never use Waste Managed again and I would not recommend them to another business.

Two price increases in 5 months
Two price increases within just five months (apparently the contract covers this, does not specify fuel). The 2nd increase has apparently been attributed to rising fuel costs, despite the fact that the waste collection itself is outsourced to third-party operators (such as Biffa, who are quoting a lot less).
The handling of complaints has also been poor, with a generally unhelpful attitude from staff across multiple departments.
We have since found that it is actually cheaper to deal directly with companies that carry out the waste collections, rather than going through this intermediary service.
In hindsight, choosing this company was a mistake. The combination of repeated price increases in the time we have been with them, poor complaint handling and questionable customer service has left us very dissatisfied with the service overall.
