Provide the service up to standard that would be expected- not just a quick sell

Our first time motorhoming loved the convenience of just parking up and plugging in ,easy as.
Very good instructions on pick up.

We got the Maui Euro Deluxe and mechanically the car was perfect and never missed a beat. We drove from Sydney to Perth in 3 weeks and othet than water leaks through cabin and skylight when it rained the car was solid and an absolute pleasure to drive. We also opted for linen change and did so at the Adelaide branch. The service there was amazing and were in and out super fast with fresh linen and topped up add blue.

Recently hired a 6-berth motorhome for a weekend getaway and had an amazing time. staff were very helpful and informative. The pickup and drop off process was straightforward and easy.

A few things to be mindful about if you are planning to rent from Apollo.
Pick-up in Perth at 9-10am is extremelly slow. Allow two hours (that's right, 2 hours) to drive off on your adventure; and completed the online check-in prior, to be "quicker".
Returning the vehicle was fast, no problem.

I booked an Apollo Endeavour, knowing it doesn't have a reverse camera.
But I was handed a Britz van. If you look on Britz's website, they do come with a camera (hurray)... but no, I was handed an old Britz's - likely no longer suitable to Britz. So no camera, old van. It's a big vehicle and of course, I ended up in a small accident reversing the van. But that's a different story.

You must read the T&Cs several times. Print it out and fully understand credit card surcharges. If you decide to pay the Liability Deposit with a credit card, they may charge you a non-refundable credit card surcharge. As of April 2026, Amex = 2.9%; Visa or Mastercard = zero. Well, I also did not know that and was asked to use my card "on file" and ended up paying with my Amex.
In my case the Liability Deposit (bond) charge was $5,145 to my credit card. When I returned the vehicle, I was refunded $5,000. That's $145 of my holiday out to someone else's pocket. So, please use a Visa or MC.

Cleanliness is not their focus either. Plan to stop at the first place possible and give the whole van and utensils a full clean up before you can cook your first meal in the van. Mine was disgusting with oily pans, cutlery and cupboard surfaces.
Finally, mechanically the van's engine light came up during my trip, which resolved by the phone support team. Another different story.

After complaining to senior management, the scripted responses I got were all the same: "we guarantee nothing" and "you should have read the T&Cs". But they resolved my requests in the end.

I chose Apollo thinking they have the biggest network and newer vehicles, but it's not quite like that.

Great experience when we dropped off the motorhome. In and out in 10 mins... picking up not so much. Had to wait an hr when we got there at 9am sharp. Would be beneficial if the motorhomes were ready the day prior since the booking was made 6 months in advance not last minute. With a wide range of fleet available i was shocked that they didnt already have that setup in place.

USB / fridge a lot of equipment cannot be use normally in the camper van

This was our first experience in travelling in a Motorhome and I would say it left a lot to be desired.
From the moment we got the hand over, where we were assured everything worked, no fridge for two days, no TV channels , poor hot water flow, poor water flow in general, unable to connect to main water so everyday I had to fill the water tank just to name a few. Thank goodness we were with family.
they charge you for everything but give you a poor experience in return.
I would not recommend this company and would not be using them again.

We rented an Apollo Euro Deluxe model. If you google it, the pictures on the company's website are different than the model we're given. Our vehicle was old, it didn't have the glass shower stall (according to the pictures), which made an enormous difference with our toddler. Other than that, the RV was dirty, the floor had dirt on all corners, the blankets and the towels had little white round stains, that reallly looked like mold. We had to clean all up before we could rest, from our 24-hour flight. The car smelled bad. I don't think it's worth the price. It's our second rental with Apollo, and probably the last.

Amazing experience, great people at the workshop, the RV was in good condition too

Great experience. Better if we could have a little carpet in front of the bathroom area and also a proper guide that includes everything even how to turn on the air flow on top of the gas stove and how to operate the awning.

Maintenance on the vehicle was not done ie hose connections for water fillup and drainage and cupboard repairs. I was not given the extra equiptment (table & chair) that i paid for. Vehicle was not very clean.

The induction of the vehicle handling was perfect by the team in Cainrs, specially Aylin, who explained every section and every tip to have a good trip. One of the lower gates didn't lock and they fixed it on site. Everything worked perfectly, excepting the main door lock to the house. It had a lock icon open and close, but you could still open it from outside even when locked. Even beign Australia, we felt uncomfortable letting valuable stuff inside knowing the door could be open easily. Apparently it's a problem of that door in specific because I Googled and it should lock completely. The other issue we had it was that the bed clothing had a strong smell to humidity, and we had to wash everything again because we couldn't stand the smell while sleeping. Everything else worked fine, the trip was flawless, we had a very good family holidays and had heaps of fun. The drop off was very quick, the offices is very nice to wait while they check the vehicle. The only issue was that at the facility in Sydney, there is not public transport in the area, so we were resigned to pay for an Uber to get to the Hotel or to the closest train station. Very good service, I would recommend it. Everything was very easy and clear to follow and we could focus on enjoying.

La experiencia fue muy positiva. El motorhome estaba en impecable estado. Puntos de mejora: el tiempo de espera para el pick up fue muy extenso (1.30hs). La autonomía de la batería del motorhome era de 4 horas solamente. Fue imprescindible estar conectado a la red de energía por las noches.

Overall satisfied, however there were some issues with the vehicle, battery charging not working, drain overflowing etc.
Pickup and delivery was quite fast and nice staff. But there was an error in our milage readings so we paid too much Road user fee. This was however corrected after contacting customer service.
