Appalling customer service
This was my first flight with Czech Airlines. It started off badly when the gate number on my boarding pass was in a completely different part of Prague airport to the gate that was actually (first) announced. Ok - not sure if that is common or not.
Anyway - we go through the gate security and sit down, waiting for the flight. I buy a bottle of water from the vending machine to get me through the flight. About 20 mins go by and I realise that the waiting area is half empty. I check on my phone and it says that the gate has been changed.
So, I leave the gate area and go to check the screens outside. They now don't have a gate number at all. Doesn't say anything about whether the fight has been delayed. I find out from google (nothing from Czech airlines) that the flight is delayed 2 hours. Finally they announce a different gate - have to throw away my water to go through security again - and we wait. I check google again and flight delay has increased to 3 hours. No announcement at all from the airline.
We finally board the flight and we don't even get an apology or explanation for the delay. Airline didn't care. I've since submitted a compensation claim for the exactly 3 hours delay and have heard nothing from them after 3 weeks.
Just avoid if you can.

THE SOONER THEY GO OUT OF BUSINESS THE BETTER FOR TRAVELLERS!!!
Horrible customer "service"
I have contacted Czech Airlines several times over a period of 8 months. Finally wrote that I would write a review if they did not respond. So here it is... One of their flights was delayed so is I was stranded in the airport. The person at the counter said that he could not help with hotel - explained that there was nothing available according to the special agreement between Czech Airlines and the hotels, but if I called then I would be able to find a room and that this would be covered by Czech Airlines. When I called all hotels by the airport were fully booked. I managed to find a hotel in Prague. Took a taxi late in the evening and returned to the airport early the next morning. Gathered and sent my receipts to Czech Airlines and have only managed to receive a standard reply "Your inquiry was successfully delivered. It will be carried out based on the applicable law and in the shortest time possible". Have since then called several times - the message was to fill out the request online... which I have done. I have given them the benefit of the doubt and been very patient as I know that mistakes happen, but this type of service is unacceptable and they have had several opportunities to rectify the damage.

Czech airlines is not the cheapest airline for sure, but over the years the service have gone from good > ok > normal > lousy..... when you order a ticket at czech airlines "a modern air carrier with over 90 years tradition" you will be surprised stepping into an old dirty worn out smartwings airplane, with dirty seats, loose panels with gaffa tape, i know competetion is hard, but czech airlines is below average for sure. Step up guys !!! czech airlines should reflect the wonderfull city you got.

Charged for additional bag 70 €. Bought ticket on CSA site for Antalya Zagreb, over Prague. Tried to buy additional baggage more than 36 hrs prior to the flight, no chance online, even they are offering choosing meals, seats, upgrading, but no baggage, evet it is written on CSA site it should be possible (it is written that it is possible to buy additional 23 kg for 25 € up to 36 hours before the flight, less than 36 hrs or on the check in cost is 35 €), contacted call center, they said it is problem with online buying because they are two flying companies, CSA and Smartwings and I will have to pay 35 € on check in. Conversation recorded. On check in they charged me 70 € for bag because they say they are two different cariers for flight I booked over CSA site?! Everywhere they present themselves as one company, on "Fly with us" billboards, in safety instructions on the plane, even in meal menu. But who cares how they are joined or not. I bought ticket from CSA. In Antalya they can't comunicate in english. And they let me wait for 15 minutes on check in desk so I had to run to be sure to arrive on boarding. Don't fly with them!
Ikke-eksisterende kundeservice
Ikke-eksisterende kundeservice. Vi fik smadret en helt ny Bugaboo barnevogn med tilbehør til mange tusinde kroner og har efter mange forsøg på korrespondance, ang erstatning, stadigt ingen barnevogn og intet svar fra kundeservice. Hele stellet er knækket, så hverken barnevogn eller klapvognsdel kan bruges.
Skal siges, at vi brugte airshell indpakning (lejet i Kastrup lufthavn), som skulle gardere mod skader.
Fortjener nul stjerner. Totalt uacceptabelt.

Go to gate - gate is open - and it has not even landed - 1,5 h late they tell me at the gate - having left the lounge is ignoring- still no delays on screen before 10 m after departure schedule- bought by Koreans I heard - second time in row it’s very late this plain - from Prague to cog - never again !
Horrible airline
Horrible airline! You really get what you pay for, inexpensive airfare but also a cheap experience. Do not travel with this airline, spend the extra quid and upgrade to other discount airlines. Actually I would rather fly RyanAir…….and that says something!
Really bad costumer service
Really bad costumer service. Out plane was delayed due to snow, which is fair enough, bur they gave us absolutely no information. The first announcement was made 3 hours after planned departure and after 2 gate changes that people randomly saw, and it was a guy yelling another gate change. During our waiting all of the cafes and restaurants at the airport closed, and since we had no information we could not go anywhere to get food, and Czech airlines offered nothing. We were also put on a boarding bus with 5 minutes notice, but taken off again and sent back to wait at the gate, still with no food or information and now about 6 hours delayed. We finally got on another boarding bus and the plane took off after de-icing, but arrived in the middle of the night at another closed airport, now with no transportation to take us home, and still no food. We wrote the airline a month an a half ago, but have not gotten a response yet. This is probably the worst level of service I have ever experienced.

Er på vej hjem efter en dejlig miniferie i Prag. Min mor og jeg sidder og venter på at boarde, hvor der kommer en stuardesse hen og vil se vores boardingpas. Min mor har købt et par sko her i lufthavnen - disse tæller tilsyneladende som bagage, og skal derfor pakkes ned, da vi kun må have EN bagage med hver... Det er et par sko, vi LIGE har købt.... WHAT?!?? Fed service! 😱🤬

Delays, staff, unorganized boarding, seatings and service - every aspect of the flight was terrible.
Never again.

Forsinkelse både frem og tilbage - Ingen kompensation. Blev ikke engang tilbudt et glas vand.
På flyet tilbage bad jeg adskillige gange om at få adgang til toilettet, i løbet af de 2 timer flyet var forsinket, hvilket blev nægtet. Derudover stoppede de halvvejs igennem forsinkelsen med at tale engelsk over højtaleren.
Absolutely terrible experience
Absolutely terrible experience. Paid >300 EUR for a roundtrip ticket within EU. Flights were delayed and transfer of luggage in Prague was handled in the worst possible way, which resulted in my checked in luggage being lost on BOTH WAYS. Had to go through a small circle of hell while contacting ground staff in Bucharest numerous times, as no updates or communication was provided to me. After 2 and a half days the luggage was restored, but then it turned out that my business laptop was stolen from the luggage. A similar situation happened on the inbound trip, where my luggage got lost AGAIN in Prague. Fortunately, the ground staff in Amsterdam (KLM) handled professionally the situation by being, quick in delivering it back, helpful and proactive in their communication.
Czech airlines DID NOT compensate my company at all, since this item falls under the "banned items from transport in checked in luggage". Do not recommend flying with it at all.

Yesterday we flew from Prague The plane was due to leave 17.45 Understandably it was delayed due to weather
However on going thru the gate to board the plane a label was attached to our hand luggage and we were ushered thru without explanation
On boarding the plane when half way up the stairs someone grabbed my bag Again no explanation
When we boarded we tried to ask the air hostesse what was happening to our bag and what to do in eventuality it was lost as it did not have our name on it
She huffed and sighed and said nothing just look at us blank
So We asked if she understood
In a very rude manner she said she did and then said bag would be there on arrival
Again asked what to do if it was not as our name and details were not on bag We were met with further rudeness
On arrival We informed her that we would be filing a complaint
Instead of apologizing she just sad go ahead
Told her that when one asks her a questions that she should have the courtesy to reply
She said “next time speak proper English “
Told that I was English ! How much ruder and unprofessional can she get!
Unfortunately or maybe this was her intention she did not have her name badge on
Not until we landed we saw the label said hand in when boarding plane
Plus the delay was not on the boards
We had to go to information to find out Luckily we did as we may then have missed our flight !
We are more than disgusted with the lack of information and then the complete unprofessional and rude behavior of the air hostess
They are worse than Ryan air and that’s an achievement
The worst airline
The worst airline - baggage system of the company suffered failure while we were departing and I´d to pay for the luggage again. No customers service is working. Highly not recomended to travel with this company

I was dissatisffied and disappointed with the service of this airline. My flight out of Prague was cancelled while everyone was already in the plane ready to go. There was no announcement what so ever in the overhead. All of the sudden I just see everyone is getting off, the announcement must have been made at the front. Once back at the terminal, there was complete chaos, nobody from the staff knew anything. As the passengers, we did not know the reason, if we were going to be placed in another flight, stay the night, we knew nothing. They offered no explanation and no apology. They have no sense of customer service. When they found another place through their partners, they said the take off time would be 9:45, it was 9:40 and ALL of the passenger were still at the gate waiting to board - yet nothing was updated on the delayed status. It was such a joke and a total circus. Very substandard service, I will not fly with them again.

I can't believe how airline companies in Europe still can get away with this, when 261/2004 was supposed to protect passengers... pathetic customer service, not even an excuse... and if you look at the average delays... do not try connecting flights with them
Zpožděný let a komplikace na letišti
Můj let byl zpožděn o 3 hodiny bez nějakého konkrétního informování, musel jsem si sám zjišťovat kdy nakonec letadlo poletí, ale trvalo dlouho než jsem tuhle informaci obdržel.
Další věc byla, že na letišti v okolí mé brány odletu, byly dvoje toalety mimo provoz, takže sem musel běhat přes půl letiště, než jsem našel nějaké v provozu, což bylo velmi nepříjemné, navíc při dotázání dvou pracovníků letiště, kde bych našel funkční toaletu, mi nedokázali přesně poradit.
S tímhle jsem spokojen nebyl a to jsem pak ještě zjistil v cílové destinaci, že mám natržený spodek zavazadla, takže zklamání.
