Very dissatisfied
I called into my local Screwfix this evening on the way from work "Oakham Rutland" Not realising the time, i proceeded to type in the order and was greeted with a comment from the counter "can you hurry up, we close in 1 minute" I made my order and went to the till to pay. Behind the counter stood 2 young girls, there was no please or thank you and my items were pretty well thrown on the counter. I have used Screwfix regularly for many years. However, after how i was treated this evening, i will make the 50yd walk across the Carpark to Toolstation. I'm bitterly disappointed and feel that these 2 inviduals could do with some training on Customer service.

price difference between Screwfix and B&Q
both Screwfix and B&Q are owned by the same company Kingfisher PLC. so why do I continuously get a large price difference when ordering the same product.
This happens all the time and this in NOT an isolated event.

Blum hinges.
Needed a set of Blum hinges to replace a broken one on a Sunday, but not sure about the ones produced. Andy in the Brighouse store went that extra mile & suggested I call back before 4:30 closing time to see if he'd managed to find some. I called back & I asked if he'd managed to find a pair, he rattled the cellophane wrapper containing a correct pair. Half an hour later, job done. Well done Screwfix.

Click and Collect is a joke at Screwfix!
Why bother with click and collect when you have to wait longer than people just walking in. EVERY time I use this it's always the same. You receive a text stating it's ready to collect and you get to the store (Northampton) and it hasn't actually been picked and then you have to wait in the queues for walk-in customers only to find that you then have to wait for someone else to go and pick the order! It's a joke! Toolstation, you order online and it's there right on the shelf ready.

Andy at the Stockport branch was great when I bought the wrong size lock. He was calm and worked out a solution that was no more money and in stock and helped me sort extra keys being cut. Turned a rubbish day into a good day

BEST Retail Experience EVER
I have just been down to the Leeds Road, Huddersfield Screwfix Store and have literally just been blown away by the customer service I have just received. It was so good that I am still sat in their car park writing this. Huge thank you to all the friendly staff who gave one of the best retail experiences I have ever received. BRAVO and thank you. I will be back : )

They will screw you and fix nothing.
I stopped using Srew fix because they fix nothing and kept screwing things up. But foolishly I decided to try them again, bad mistake, the are much worse than before.
Going to use local companies in future as they are a false economy.

Demanding email address before being served
Long wait whilst counter staff wasted valuable time asking every customer to handover their email before being served. I thought I was here to give you my money, not my personal details so you can bombard me with junk marketing emails. Cut out the data mining efforts and focus on serving the customers that keep your business going!

Reaccurring Delays in Delivery - Evesham Branch?
I use the Evesham Branch and it seems that when I order an item which is shown and in stock it comes back as for next day delivery. Okay I accept this, but then the next day it says your order is further delayed. These are basic items such as M6 bolts? It seems to be happening on a routine basis. So my first go to is now Toolstation, which seems to deliver on its promises.

Dangerous mountfield petrol lawnmower. 18 month's with it well looked after and stored in garage the fuel pipe from tank to carb had deisintgrated causing petrol to leak all over the garage. Also, very dangerous,if I tried to start could have been very bad. This is down to poor quality of fuel line from tank to engine . Not impressed, poor quality and dangerous. It has a two year guarantee, Screwfix only keep online invoices for 18 month's, including on my account ( and yours). They said without proof of purchase I was screwed( pardon the pun).Who keeps paper receipts? Fixed it myself with no help from them

Do Not Accept replacement goods
Whatever you do, do NOT accept replacement goods for faulty ones !! - insist on a refund & then buy again, it's only a paper excercise but Screwfix take the sale date of the first item for the warranty so if the new item becomes faulty after the first ones guarantee is out ou are screwed. all it does is cost screw fix time & paper

Sad to see so many bad reviews; I love these guys.
I didn't realise Screwfix had such a bad reputation. I make three or four purchases a week from my two closest stores, and I've literally never had a bad experience.
I bought a reciprocating saw from them yesterday. I used it and returned it after it just wasn't up to the job. But to be clear, it was MY ISSUE. I bought the product thinking it would work, it didn't, and I took it back in, covered in saw dust, and they just refunded me.
That kind of thing doesn't happen in shops these days, and it gives me so much faith in them as a company that they won't ever force me to waste my money or give me a bad experience.
With a lot of their tools, they are generally a little more expensive than elsewhere, so I normally only go to them for supplies, but regardless, they're simply the most consistent company I've ever frequented.

Staff at local Royton store fantastic, part I ordered was not what I needed when I went to collect, no questions asked refund and they spent time sourcing from alternative suppliers which was successful brilliant old fashioned service can’t praise enough thanks
