It's Easy. That's how LEC made the process. At the beginning I didn't know the process or anything. I spoke to someone at LEC and from that moment they guided me throughout. My completion is due Early December and I am totally happy with LEC and people at LEC, very friendly, polite and courteous at all times. It was the very first time for me to go through Lease extension and I was honestly expecting some sort of headaches – I initially did some research and found the LEC Company and looking at the positive reviews on their website so I decided to give them a call.

I am very happy with the LEC and how they handled everything to do with my lease extension. They saved me a lot of time and potential overwhelm as they sorted out all the moving parts for me - sourcing a great valuer to negotiate on my behalf and a good solicitor who handled everything efficiently and fuss free.

I wanted to renew the lease on my flat which had 91 years remaining. After reading favourable reviews about LEC and researching cost implications, I decided to appoint them in November 2020. After paying the upfront fee, I was introduced to my solicitor who was very good at explaining the legalities in laymen's terms. There was no unnecessary correspondence so legal fees were kept to a minimum. Unfortunately the Freeholder failed to respond within the legal timeframe but the legal advice from my solicitor was great, they sorted it all out with a letter and my lease has now been extended. The process was relatively quick, 7 months in total.

Initial guidance was very clear and detailed and reiterated by the solicitors they used so we had a good understanding of the process, how long it would take and how much it would cost. All managed smoothly with a successful, and surprisingly quick, outcome. Only small build was it would have been good to know how long the Land Registry take to process the paperwork at the end as this seems to be breathtaking long, even in COVID times. Nothing LEC can do about it but it is worth knowing so you can factor it into any planning

The LEC placed the right people in place to get the job done (solicitors, conveyancing) which saved me time and research. I had to chase the solicitors a little bit to get some progress updates, but they responded quickly, so overall was pretty smooth and the premium negotiated was great.

One thing I think could have been better is always showing prices with VAT included, throughout all documentation so you don’t have to keep remembering to work it out.

We reached out to a number of organisations with limited knowledge about lease extensions. Tabitha responded very quickly and with helpful information about our options and the process. Whilst initially sceptical, we found LEC's providers (solicitors and surveyors) to offer professional services with great communication. The only constructive feedback I'd provide is that it would be helpful to know guideline 'add ons' along with probability of those costs being incurred to help better budget. Overall, a professional, light-touch and supportive service, thank you for seeing us through a stressful process.
