Really helpful and clear on the process so I knew what I was doing. They kept in contact at each stage and I never had to chase them and their advice was helpful and understandable with what I should think about. Particularly useful was them instructing/sourcing the experts - solicitors and conveyancers for example - as it saved me having to do a lot of research but have the confidence that those being instructed to progress my work were experts and that things would be done well. Which they were, every step of the way. Really pleased and would recommend them to friends and family.

All in all a pleasant experience. The process was quiet drawn-out, but under the current climate it was to be expected. We had a few bumps along the way but thankfully Tabitha was on hand to sort them out.

It was daunting to explore extending my lease as I got closer to the 80yr mark but I sought out the LEC as I wanted to make sure that someone who knew what they were doing handled it for me so I didnt incur the dreaded marriage value. Tabitha told me exactly what I needed to know, how the project would be resourced, and gave me a very clear pricing structure and has handled everything including a somewhat anxious client (ahem, me). Despite there being a pandemic, things move rather swiftly though my novice experience meant I chased things up when really I didn't need to. Things take time and it is always a delay at the other end but once the notice is served, the timeline is much more clear. My advice is have patience and trust that the LEC will respond promptly to any needed action from solicitors and surveyors and give you advice on decisions like when to negotiate and when to accept. I'm relieved that after 8 months (and again bear in mind there was a pandemic!) that my lease extension is signed. Thank you Tabitha and LEC

What could have been a real time consuming and daunting task was made quite simple.

You will still have to liaise with solicitors but they are copied in on all communications and help out if you're struggling with any stage of the process. The painful bit like ringing around finding quotations for solicitors and surveyors is all taken care of. They give you a fixed price quotation and project plan so that if there is any doubt at any stage you're able to go back and easily see what you should be expected to be paying at each stage against what is quoted for. I found this really helpful as there was never any worry of extra hidden fees that might be dropped on you.
