Established in 2016, TentBox is at the forefront of the roof tent market. As a company we pride ourselves on our high performance products, and have an absolute passion for our growing community. We were founded by two brothers, Ollie and Neill Shurville, who have a love for the outdoors and wanted to make TentBoxing accessible to all.

AVOID THIS COMPANY
If i could give a 1 star and go back in time and not order a tentbox i would.
When buying a tentbox i was recommended summit clamp roofbars by twntbox website (heads up tentbox are contracted to reccomend summit roofbars ) I was recommended these at the time of buying the roofbars on tentbox website and trusted their recommendation.
Froma couple of months in i started to have problems mainly because roofbars for a flat roof cannot withstand a tentbox.
Over the summer i used the tentbox once and throughout the night the bars came away from the roof of my car at one side. I reput them on as per manufacturer instructions and went on my way.
A couple of weeks later as my partner got into the car, the roof bars dislodged and caused a dent on my roof.
This damage was qouted at £1800 from multiple bodyshop. I contacted tentbox who offered me £250 gogw and i said no. I stated that i installed the bars to manufacturing guidelines and now having done research i should never have actually been advised to get a tentbox for my car because a flat roof isnt suitable for roof tents due to the pressure on clamped roofs.
During the process of dealing with tentbox i had the unfortunate pleasure of dealing with Archie who at one point told me " tentbox werent required to offer me £250 at any point " it was worded in a way that was very poor. I know tentbox werent required, i didnt take it
My roof bar report has now came from summit and could have been written by a child. It doesnt tell me how the tests were conducted and basically told me they couldnt test properly because the bars came back dismantled. They would, the box provided isnt big enough to put them in assembled. When i highlighted my issues with summits report to tent box they basically told me to accept the £250 so now i am left with no option but to go through the courts to get my money back.
AVOID THIS COMPANY
Update: tentbox tried to get my review taken down due to being "defamatory ". Think someone needs to go look up the definition.
On a positive note, i have a call with tentbox today

Leaks
I was very impressed with how easy the Freestander was to erect by myself, even though I needed a step to connect the inner tent to the inside of the outer canopy.
However, the second night it rained and in the morning I was very disappointed to find several pools of water in the tent mostly where a table had been standing and a mat was laying, so I assumed it had been drawn up through the groundsheet. I had read reviews on Facebook prior to using the tent along these lines but wanted to see for myself if mine actually did leak if it rained. The design of the windows having the mesh on the outside of the zip up cover was a strange concept to me as most tents and awnings I've known have the zip up cover on the outside therefore stopping any rain getting in.
I am willing to try it again with a footprint groundsheet underneath it with the hope that it will cure the problem.

We’re really sorry about the water pooling on your second night, though; waking up to wet gear is the last thing you want on a trip. While a footprint groundsheet adds great extra protection, your tent should always keep you completely dry.

Brackets failed on my 3 yr old tent…
Brackets failed on my 3 yr old tent box. 2 lots of brackets sent out that were wrong. No idea of what tent box I had although they had invoice details etc. 3rd attempt correct from Yarna. Had to send photos of the box and ladder brackets. Although a bit frustrating everyone was polite . Going forward maybe customer service folks should have more product knowledge on sliders and brackets. I did get a £50 voucher to spend in compensation for their mistakes. I love my tentbox. Experience not great but got there in the end.

Service client au top, même en cas de souci !
Lors de la livraison, le transporteur a malheureusement abîmé notre portail. Rien à voir avec TentBox, mais l'équipe a été présente à chaque étape, notamment Patrice et Fran : suivi réactif, échanges simples, et une vraie écoute jusqu'à la résolution complète du dossier. Ils sont même allés plus loin avec un geste commercial que l'on a vraiment apprécié.
Côté produit, toute la famille a adoré la tente dès sa découverte, petits comme grands ! On a hâte de repartir avec ! Elle est vraiment qualitative, les matériaux sont au top, c'est solide et ça se monte et démonte facilement.

After a delay in receiving my tentbox…
After a delay in receiving my tentbox order I contacted the company and spoke with Jess who instantly spotted an issue with delivery and rectified the issue and was quick to issue me an apology and online gift card for the unexpected delay, the customer sevice couldn't be any better and my custom will return, also a mention to Rhi who then tracked the delivery every step of the way to ensure no further issues.

Whilst the tent itself is very good.....
Whilst the tent itself is very good. Delivery wasn't, I got everything apart from the tent!!! What was the point of that! The roof rack bolts were too short and no nuts were supplied! (it was supposed to bolt to the roof). The car wasn't built with nuts built in! Consequently, the roof lining had to be removed. It also whistles very loudly at anything over 50 miles per hour. Most unenjoyable!
