Established in 2016, TentBox is at the forefront of the roof tent market. As a company we pride ourselves on our high performance products, and have an absolute passion for our growing community. We were founded by two brothers, Ollie and Neill Shurville, who have a love for the outdoors and wanted to make TentBoxing accessible to all.

I can't even start to explain how happy…
I can't even start to explain how happy I am with Tentbox they have been absolutely fantastic with me, so I bought my tentbox XL Lite just over a year and a half ago yes ive spent fortune on it 🤣 just over £4k getting everything that I needed but who cares I love my Tentbox and the opportunities its given me..
Anyways one of my purchases was the security nuts but instead of putting them on myself I went to place i bought my Tentbox from and got then to install them and they did, but when you buy a tentbox your advised to check all the nuts ensure that there secure after every trip. I noticed my nuts were secure but my tentbox was moving around i called the the place again they told me to keep tightening then and ill be alright, long story short.
I recently embark on an adventure that would push me out my comfort zone, but its been something I've always wanted to and it was to drive to Italy and travel across the amazing country, I was absolutely terrified but OMG!! What a trip i drove to forkstone, the struutgart, Austria, The Dolimites, Venice, Verona, Tuscany, Rome, Naples back to Tuscany, Switzerland and finally Dunkirk.. anyways
Whilst I was in Verona the my brackets on my Tentbox had completely failed leaving my in a predicament and my tentbox secure to the roof meaning it wasn't going to come off the bars, but loose emough it was sliding across my roof bars so I decided to call Tentbox HQ and I was spoke to various different agents but Dan and Lauren were my too main points of contact we were all so confused, so i sent photos and videos of my setup. As you can imagine I'm 2000 miles from home in a blind panic, so im on the phone to Dan he calmed me down sent me to a "showroom" in Bologna I really worried as I don't speak Italian, but my little darling Dan had emailed the "showroom" about my arrival giving them the heads up on why I was coming.. now if anyone has been to a said "showroom" you'll understand what I'm about to say.. so I arrived in Bologna to motorhome sales forcourt my heart sank this wasnt what i was ecspecting.. I had all these thoughts going through my head anyways it turns out they sell Tentboxes but don't repair or maintain them.. so I rung Dan back he advised me once I returned home to go drive to Southampton to Tentbox HQ and they'll have a look at it for me. I drove to my campsite and noticed I couldn't open my boot and the tentbox was no longer in the middle of the roof bars which made it unsafe to sleep in, I called Dan back made decision to come home. So i drove the quickest way from Italy to Calais went to Tentbox HQ met Dan and Lauren and they were absolutely fantastic with me, they covered my fuel and Tolls from Italy home, turned out I had the wrong the brackets and nuts on my car so Dan changed them and everything secure I can't honestly thank Dan and Lauren anymore for everything they have done for me I'm so grateful for everything thank you so much guys this Tentboxer is over the moon thank you again for everything
On to my next adventure

What an absolute epic of a road trip! Driving through Stuttgart, the Dolomites, Venice, Tuscany, Rome, and all the way back is the ultimate bucket-list adventure, but we can only imagine how terrifying it must have been to deal with a sliding setup when you were 2,000 miles away from home!
Dan and Lauren are going to be so deeply moved reading your shout-out! Dan was so glad he could keep you calm, contact the team in Bologna, and make sure you got back safely. We know how stressful that situation was, so getting you straight down to HQ, sorting out those brackets, and covering your fuel and tolls to make things right was the absolute least we could do for you.

Slow customer service system, low quality roof bars
I have no issues with any specific person, some of the people that dealt with me were very helpful. The problem is the customer service system, which is pure chaos. There is no log of issues which meant a different person dealt with me each time, often resetting the entire conversation and adding days then weeks onto any kind of resolution. It took over a month from the first delivery to being able to use the tentbox by which time I'd used up my holidays waiting and sending back parts sent in error and parts entirely missing from the roof bars. I have since realised through my own experience and the experience of others that their partnership with Summit is not one that benefits the end user. They operate separately and it adds weeks onto orders, reorders and resolution of issues. Also, the Summit roof bars just aren't high enough quality to deal with the tentbox despite what the site claims. The Internet is full of horror stories of them failing and they seem to just be a quick fix solution because they are cheaper which makes it easier to purchase directly or on finance. My advice is to purchase your roof bars separately and part with the extra cash to get something that is up to the job, saving yourself a lot of bother.

Broken Bow Pole - Disaster
2 days into a 14 day holiday the Bow pole broke, My daughter contacted me . The same day I tried contacted Tentbox via phone, email, WhatsAppbut no response eventually on the 3rd day they responded. I had asked for a new pole to delivered asap so I could take it to my daughter when I went to visit. This didn’t happen , it arrived the same day as she arrived home. having spent 10 days with make shift poles made from washing line poles purchased whilst she was away just to keep the living pod useable. Diabolical after sales service to be honest.

I have had my tentbox for few years now and use it when i can
.i have a few extra bits to go with it all tentbox people always remark on it . I have it on car at min but its been on different vehicles . I do get comments about how fit do you have to be to use it . Well im 70 and female and i use it on my own and in remote places love it been in snow hail thunder lightning and its still going strong not one problem

I have now had my Tentbox Lite XL for a month and very happy with my purchase, I have added a few accessories aswell.
If I have had any issues or require any info then I message on WhatsApp and get a response very quickly and have always been really helpful.

I am extremely happy with my Cargo 2…
I am extremely happy with my Cargo 2 which I use for camping and for mocktails while watching the sun go down or the moon rise, coffee and breakfast watching the sun rise, taking a break by the sea to eat my lunch. There were a couple of issues which the TentBox Team dealt with efficiently, professionally, promptly and cheerfully. Extremely helpful. So in summary, top product, excellent customer service.

Amazing customer service
So I've quickly learnt that all things tentbox, are like gold, and people like to take things. I had the leads to my power station stolen whilst it was on charge at a campsite, (they left the power station?) And emailed asking how I would order some more. Jon kindly sent out some new ones for me! I also ordered a backrest for the tentbox which through no fault of their own, had been delivered and left stood up at my front door for all to see / with it saying I signed for it and it was delivered. I did not. George helped me out with this and assured me they would be in contact with the delivery company. Very grateful and impressed with the service so far.

Can't fault their customer service! Amazing experience. Had some issues with their wind shield that resulted in my car's rear screen being broken. I flagged that to Tentbox and they offered me a refund for the screen replacement cost. The team deal with it very professionally. 10 out of 10.

So far so good. Every trip i’ve made is so much easier now. I get really cozy in there at night. Every detail has been thought about to make things easy and simple for you. I got the living pod too and even that was easy to put up on my own (the wind made it more of a challenge though) would highly recommend to anyone thinking about getting one. Just go for it, live a little!
