Quick and professional treatment

We waited 2.5hrs in the waiting room for a start. I thought the whole idea of there being an emergency situation meant that your pet would be seen as such. I witnessed desperate, tearful people holding sick pets outside pressing the buzzer and the receptionist was away from the desk and people having to get up from the waiting area to allow them access. We were eventually seen by a not so friendly vet. She don’t really greet us. She examined our pet and suggested two options. One would have included imaging and a stay over, bloods etc. The latter was an injection and meds. We opted for the latter. Our bill was almost £500 for a two and a half hour wait and approx 8 minutes with a vet. We’ve since discovered that the surgery charged us 4 x the amount we could have bought th exact same medication via Amazon!
I gave 3 stars simply because my beloved pet has now recovered. Every other aspect of visiting the emergency vet stinks! It’s a complete rip off and they know you are at their mercy and will pay anything to make things better for your beloved pet. I shudder to think how much our first option may have cost us. Would have probably needed to remortgage!

My cat was seen fairly quickly and the friendly and caring vet explained his condition and short term pain relief medication comprehensively. The receptionist was also extremely helpful and understanding.

I rang Middlesbrough branch on Good Friday as 2 dogs were running free on our nearby campsite - was given really good advice and they were willing to take the dogs. Dog warden services and local councils were rubbish. The owner of the dogs were eventually found so all was OK.

Can't thank vetsnow emergency service enough, excellent service, was so scared I thought I was going to lose my dog but this team were amazing, seen straight away, kept fully informed all the way through the process and she came home the same day. Thank you is not enough

I had to take my 2 year old Frenchie to vets now in Bradford would highly recommend luvly staff clean looked after my furbaby he’s now on the road to recovery thanks to these guys thankyou 🥰

After a very traumatic and emotional weekend, our cat, Sky, has now made a full recovery thanks to the team at Vets Now in Newport!!
We cannot thank the team enough for saving her after it was touch and go and almost debated the dreaded decision after hearing the results.
Special mention to Federica, Caitlin and Andrea who were all so kind and kept us informed everytime we / they called.
She is now back to being her sassy self and settled at home!

The Vet Joanne was excellent with my reactive dog. Obviously knew her stuff and dogs. I left feeling confident and reassured that Hettie had been dealt with by a caring , efficient team.

Pricing is way over the top.

I took my dog as a referral from my local vets. All staff at VetsNow Manchester were extremely empathetic, the lady on reception was lovely and accommodating, the nurses were fantastic and the vet Stephen was brilliant and kept me regularly updated on my dog's condition. I felt my dog took a turn for the worst whilst we were waiting on diagnostic results. I rang them and they told me to bring him straight back down and kept him in overnight. They are now following him up with his treatment plan, excellent place, can't thank them enough.

Great informative staff, quick service, no complaints.

Staff are lovely and treated my dog with the utmost kindness and care. My only issue is the cost of treatment, while emergency treatment will always be more expensive and I understand that, it is an eye watering amount when insurance has refused to pay out anymore. There needs to be more options for how to pay as the only other choice is to watch your pet suffer which is not a choice I would ever want to make.

The care received was fine however the billing was criminal. No wonder the Government are intervening. Out and out profiteering. £35 admin fee on top of the exorbitant fees and super inflated drugs prices. Really? You should be ashamed. Taking advantage of pets' distress and caring owners.
You are in the same league as lawyers, estate agents and journalists and currently top of the table. Your greed is indefensible so don't even try.

I had to take my cat to Vets Now in Staines late at night when he suddenly became very poorly. It was a very distressing experience as sadly my cat had to be put to sleep but I'll never forget the compassion and kindness of the brilliant vet Rebecca (Becky) who dealt with him that night. She explained everything that was happening so patiently considering how upset I was and both the nurse working with her and the receptionist were also lovely. I have full confidence that everything was done for my cat that could have been under the sad circumstances and he experienced kindness to the end.
I was very touched when following his cremation, I collected my cat's ashes from the surgery a couple of weeks later to find that his paw prints had been put on to a card for me which I hadn't expected and will always treasure.

The care and service was 5 star but charging £313 for an out of hour consultation is just plain wrong and playing on pet owners fears immaterial if you have insurance.

We visited vets now with our poorly cat on a Sunday. All the team were lovely, helpful and reassuring making a very stressful situation manageable. The lady vet even asked if I would like to speak in Welsh or English which was an added benefit and much appreciated.
